@@KegRaider ha ha I have reviewed all handhelds with the same chip h700 in every device the same performance on the rg35xx h, rg28xx every one knows what it's like but the most questions I get are what the higher end games run like so I put them at the forefront of this particular video, but I will be doing a top 20 gba games showcase on the sp to play. Hope that helps.

I just got a Miyoo A30 and absolutely love it. I think they have packed so many things and games into a small handheld device. Great review and your details are very helpful.

Mine came with some problem out of the box and would not load a single rom for any system. There was an SD card so it wasn't that. I didn't feel like troubleshooting so I sent it back and got an RG35XX SP. I may try the A30 again. I did like the feel of it
Hate it when that happens and it happens to me I got the Anbernic ARC d and the Anbernic 556 and both just stopped working it dose happen sadly, but if you can get one again am sure it will be fine man. And it dose feel good.

Hi Sonic I paid £40 from ali store ampown. They've got sometimes really good prices. Controls are definitely better than I expected and much more better in my opinion then stronger rg28xx ,enjoy and thx for the video 👌

Its defo not 16:9 😊. Res is 640x480 so it's gotta be 4x3 aspect. I like the color of this one, and love the small screen 😁😉.

I have to say the screen is a odd one I but it up against other screens am telling you it's longer just by a bit it you put any game by 4:3 there are slight borders left and right of 4:3 games man. I changed it to full for every system. But I do think it looks so retro

went through this process so many times with different versions. (1.0, 1.0 + 1.0.2 update my problems: 1. joypad doesnt work in PSP games 2. joypad doesnt woth when i manually launch PPSSPP - not possible to change any options 3. retroarch always launches in 1/4 of the screen no matter the batocera version 4. not possible to enter retroarch menu with menu (or select, i dont remember which one) and top button (out of 4) - none of those combinations work 5. retroarch ignores when i put amiga kickstarts or atari xe/xl roms that work on every other OS on 4 different devices. it says he can't find kickstarts/roms 6. when i accidentally enabled to show all systems (on the versions that have this option) the device goes into refresh loop and card needs re-flashing SO frustrated with this FW.
Are all of the games you've played here, pre-installed? Cause i wouldnt have a clue about adding any on, roms or whatever? 😅 Would love to purchase though looks great 👍🏻
@@james-stevenmulraney8747 you have to but it with the seller offering the option to include a sd card if they do then it will come with the games
I really hope Anbernic doesn't abandon this form factor. IMO the 6-button pad is 100% more superior than the typical Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony 4-button layout. All this device need is better hardware and possibly an analog stick to cater for Dreamcast games. This would be an ultimate SEGA emulation machine if they decide to address those two issues. I really hope there will be a version 2 of this device.

Why do most reviewers use Retroarch to play GBA games ? I notice some games on retroarch will lose save data if i accidentally hit reset bottom. The standalone emulator is easier to use, and the HD filter makes gaming experience quite nice, and no issue with save data loss from emulator.
@@ge-ge-ge7953 I am used to using RA used it for many years. I have no issues with it. But will have a go at gba with the standalone.

Im a bit confused so sorry in advance if I sound dumb... new to all this, so lets say I take out the original sd card it came with and completely destroyed it in the lake of fire. What would be the starting point? Do i just download the stock firmware from anbernic and everything will be there as the original sd card??? Great video just confusing my poop brain.
@@chunky129production ha ha it's OK, yes I would get a 128gb card and download the firmware of the Anbernic download page and flash it to a new SD card or you can choose a custom firmware and flash it to a 128gb SD card and then just add the bios and roms to the folders.

@@SonicLoveEmulation ive got a lenovo google chromebook laptop, ive seen that it has been done by some people just no step by step tutorial. All they say is that it can be done haha
@@chunky129production you need b balena etcher, 7zip, to flash and extract the firmware to a SD card, the pop it in the rg35xx then back in the laptop and add bios and roms and that's about it man...you have to see if you can use the tools on a crome book

@@pietroberbenni6355 take the SD card out and pop it in to the PC and find the retroarch folder and I think when you go it to it you will see saves and then you can copy and transfer them to a new device..this is just of the top of my head though..but I will at some point....just remind if I don't. To have a look with a sd card on my pc
@@SonicLoveEmulation The save files for the mmjr2 dolphin are in the /mmjr-revamp/GC/Europe/Card A/GC6P01 folder.

It's a great handheld, but there is a new model, called the rg40xx might want to take a look at it first..same chip set, but has analog sticks and a way better D-pad plus a 4 inch 4:3 display...just a thought.

Love my Miyoo Mini plus, I had a few bootleg so to speak handhelds. When I went searching for a new one to put in my collection I came across the Miyoo Mini plus and when I seen the price was marked down to 45.00 I thought well I just go ahead and buy it. When I looked at what I was getting the difference in how many games on 2 SD cards and price I just went ahead and got the most which I believe was 126 GB or 128 GB, it was around that area but it would raise the cost up to 49.00 but at least this one came with a card reader which I will never use because I heard that it can f*ck up you computer with some sort of malware or whatever. Idk if that's true but I won't be using it, better safe than sorry. The one I got has more games and when it totaled up the final price plus tax it came to 51.00 and didn't have to pay shipping so that was a plus not a bad price and I'm so glad I got it. I play with it more than the others and even my switch. I only wish it had a Nintendo DS emulator on it though but I'm ok with that. If I ever see the handheld that's in this video and is marked down I will get it also, but idk if it will be marked down on other online shops because I only shop on Ali Express. I never shop nor will I ever shop on temu or Shein since I seen videos that said they use forced labor and child labor, and also scams on those. Don't know how true that is but again, better safe than sorry and also don't want to be supporting those shops if they are. Some videos show proof that they are so it's best to steer clear of them. I just hope and pray Ali Express is not doing it, if they are ever exposed to that then I will stop shopping there.

This is by far, by leaps and bounds, my favorite chinese retro handheld of all time! This is the one I've been waiting for. I have like 20 or so, play them for a few days, and move on. I can usually tell if I'm going to like a gaming accessory pretty quickly, no matter how I try to force myself to like them I can't. I usually wait a few months to get them to allow better firmware to be released but I took a chance on this. Luckily this one came with a really solid firmware but the hardware is amazing. I might be a little biased as I had a SP as a kid.
@@exodous02 I get you man, gba games are still some of the best games on any handheld or system still to this day it was way ahead of its time. And the SP is awesome and perfect once you fix the 8 way controls
insane how much this can play. i just wish the hardware build didn't feel so cheap and the shoulder buttons were stacked like the retroid pocket has. for less than $100 it's hard to complain.

Are you using a Brazilian rom collection? Did this come on the machine from Powkiddy? There is a popular rom collection creator on Arcade Punks that is Brazilian, and those collections have ended up in China somehow. I noticed that a lot of the metadata and roms on this weren't in English.
You think you’ll get the RGCube?
Also, did you load anew Jelos version or did you stick with the stock. I just found that stock Jelos took a while to load.

@@SonicLoveEmulationalso, the load times are long because it is the unofficial version not for commercial use. If you install Jelos proper you will find the load times goes from bootup of 40+ seconds to ~ 10. Might want to test it on a new SD.
The controls suck for shmups
@@MadShmupper yes any 8 way controls are dreadful, but I did fix the dpad and now it's plays fine 8way control I will be doing a mod video on it
Great screen but machine gets too hot for my taste. I kinda think it's uncomfortable myself. Pico8 is unbelievable on it!! It needs 2gb ram and then.. I'd like it much more! I play my rgb30 and then play rg353m with same chip but 2gb ram, i can full on feel the difference.
I get that man, but if you know it's strengths it's still a great device...especially for the price now you can pick one up for 45-50 2nd hand

@SonicLoveEmulation I have mine in a 2DS case which is not a horrible fit; , just a bit larger than it needs to be.

PSP is still the best for the money.
@@DSSJaguar as in modded psp? I have both the psp and ps vita modded but I still play this more ha ha but it's definitely subjective and personal preference on what suits everyone man

@@user-qp5fj3kr5w how much do you have to spend on a device? And will you want to hook it up to a TV? And you will need to get a handheld with Bluetooth to have a 2nd controller

The screen is absolutely great for most games
@@zockeromi1970 definitely Zocker, they look like they could just pop out the screen it looks that good
first time seeing it up close , it really is an incredible screen makes me want to buy one
