Hella late to this party but are the barrel straps removable on the M203? I'm going to sling it under the barrel using the ris but I don't think it would be able to fit with the barrel strap on

@@brecibros2469 I didn’t have to mod mine but I honestly can’t remember what brand I had. I want to say it was something like S&T but I honestly don’t remember.
If anything switch your shoulder strap buckle to the other side so the quick release is the same on both sides. It's for you and whoever may end up having to treat you. It's also why I keep a ifak on the back of the belt so when you're being checked for entry/exit wounds it can be easily accessible and have to worry less about digging around a plate carrier unless you have a SOP with a certain group and everyone knows exactly where it is. As well I would say remember what IFAK stands for and if you wanna be able to treat someone make sure you have extra so that way if it comes to you you're not missing something essential hopefully you never need it but that's what it's there for. Nice setup though looks good

@@PaowinPandas for me yes. Mainly in the elastic cummerbund and the ability of the shoulder straps to flex and turn with you. I’d say this definitely a superior carrier.
No need to spray paint it . Just rub some dirt in it .

My Haley strategic inserts makes my magazine really tough to snatch out. How has yours been? I have the same exact chest rig and they just don’t work for me. Am I doing something wrong
Mine have worked great. I don’t remember for sure but I maybe have reformed them a bit when I first got them. Heated them and stretched them a bit.

That panel was a pre production demo model. Lbx made something similar for a short time but it’s not in production anymore.
This is a nice rifle-- it's well thought out (and I like the camo). Imo, to set up the "best, if not perfect" rifle for yourself, you must first define what your job/mission is (even as a civilian). In the Army, we called it an M.O.S. (military occupational specialty). THEN you'll be better equipped to kit out your "go to"
Sorry if I may ask but my zoomer brain cannot focus on the gear you have listed. Can you please without the extra materials (like the pen shears etc) list the things you added? I am pretty sure you didn't mention the front mag holder but again I may have whizzed past it. Much thanks
Front mag panel is a shaw concepts.
I don’t know how those Haley Strategic inserts work so well for you. The ones I have are so tight I can barely get a Colt GI mag into it and it takes an act of God to get it back out. They are beyond ridiculously tight.
Use a lighter to heat up the bend in the kydex at the bottom and then insert your mag in and out a couple times until it cools and hardens. With enough heat you can make the kydex flexible and adjust the amount of retention yourself. 👍🏽
Thats a sweet setup. No same in the optics chosen, many people get caught up in the price points of everything and fail to do what is actually important... train... Awesome content man, keep up the good work.

I'd say the velocity difference between a 16 and 14.5 is a lot less than what people point it out to be. You just hear more people justifying 16 over 14.5 since more run 16s with the NFA. Velocity difference is quite low, less than the difference between an 11.5 and a 12.5 sometimes which is already low to begin with. The difference is likely not even going to be a couple hundred, more of a 100FPS tops, likely less since 11.5 vs 12.5 is 100FPS difference tops too. The only inch that matters is typically 10.3 vs 11.5 where you see a large gain from an inch increase, typically high 100s to low 200s. Otherwise, the next ideal step is to go 2 inches longer for more velocity. TBH 16 inches would have never been a thing if not for the NFA. Everyone would be running 14.5s and 11.5s like the military does if there were no restrictions.

Hey, what about fitment? I'm a 5'6 guy and most of the rigs I've worn wont ajust properly and they wind up riding low...what do you think?
I’ve seen some shorter guys wearing this without issues. It has a good range of adjustment.
No that has been very helpful. Thank you for responding. I actually I think the med is correct for me. It just seems a little small because I always want to make sure I'm covering my whole chest for protection. I was thinking on going with hesco med plates.
There’s some good CZcams videos out there on measuring yourself to determine plate size. I’d definitely watch some of those but I’m guessing medium will be the right answer.

You need to find the plates that are best for your body size and type then choose the size of your PC around the size of the plates. After finding your plate size find what PC best suits your needs
I'm 5'11 175lbs also have a med and it fits me perfectly.

@@MegaJustinp I’m about 6’3” and 260. Just judging from what you’ve said I would guess that a medium plate would be correct for you unless you have a very long torso. You may want to look into adjusting your carrier differently.

I would think it should adjust down adequately. There is a pretty big range of adjustment.
Do 7.62 mags fit?
The gen V mayflower rig will fit 762 mags.

After running the numbers on 25, 36, 50, and 100 yard zeros, I chose a 50 for mine.
@@Redneck_Oper8torthank you. I put an RMR on top of my scope. I have a tentative 36 yard on it, I was thinking it would only be used for within 100yard - considering it’s Height over Bore. Your 50 choice sounds better to me also. Thanks.
@@russream3732 the 50 definitely offers the simplest holds close in where I plan to be using the dot. It’s worth noting that because of the height over bore it’s not a true 50/200 zero, but again at 200 I’ll most likely be using the scope.

Excellent setup! No shame for the optics choice, they are proven at this point. You’ve covered almost every redundancy and that’s the purpose of GPR’s. I don’t know if the pistol grip has storage. If it doesn’t, then that would be the only change I’d suggest, to house your Allen keys and misc small tools. Love it man 👏

Exercise is exercise. Ignore the elitists. Don't allow it to be your only form of training, dry and live fire should be included.
If you are "playing" then by all means have fun and enjoy. But the minute you say "training for real world operations" you enter into a different realm, which means 100% accountability for every individuals from the bottom to the top. That is the problem with Airsoft, individuals make huge mistakes with no consequences. Those mistakes eventually become bad habits. The US Military uses UTM and Sims, but you fuck up, you get hammered. And you fuck up bad enough you lose your job.

Cool gun, what BCG are you running with that LaRue barrel? LaRue make great and solid stuff and I wouldn't shy away from them at all. I've been looking very hard at the Strike Eagle 3-18x FFP, because it has a good amount of features for the price and seem pretty decent for what it is, thanks for your opinion on the optic

Did you do anything else with the inserts or just drop them in? I can't seem to get mags to insert consistently. They are the Haley inserts as well
I was able to just drop mine in. You could try adding a little more angle to the top lip if you are having problems getting mags in.
