Is just flavored alcohol? Or is it doen with water or vinegar
The pineapple rinds, cinnamon, sugar, and clove is covered by filtered water :) then covered and sits on the counter for 2-3 days and it’s ready to drink

After you added the flour & sprinkles to cake batter, you beat 4-8 minutes. Her online recipe says “Mix for 45 to 60 seconds, just until your batter comes together.” I’m wondering if the book is different than the online recipe found on the milk bar site. Also, did you make two cakes because the online version uses one 9x13 pan for the whole cake. Is this another difference from the book? Just curious because I plan to make for my birthday in a few weeks and want to get it right. Yours looks great.

Hey!! Love the video. I am obsessive about Milk Bar recipes and I like to research when I try any new products out too. I remember finding this recipe on the Rachael Ray website and saw that it omitted the spices and caramel color but I chalked it up to making it more accessible for home bakers (and they can’t give all their secrets away I’m sure). If you do this again, you could look up the ingredients list on the website and the differences between the home and pro ingredients is very noticeable!! Also, you could email Milk Bar and ask for gram measurements and they’re very gracious about giving them!! I got the grams for this cake from them and the title of the file included “Consumer Recipe” so that hinted to me the recipe was not the pro recipe!
You’re so adorable! I enjoy this series. I have noticed with CT every recipe I see her do in TV or read on her website or in her books is different. Even if it’s just a piece here or there.
