Im glad I found this video... I needed to know if it can be done through the outside, other videos show it being done through the Inside of the basement and crawlspace.
Hydrolic cement only lasts 8-10 years. Its not a strong material and will fair.
It was a great video. What is the white piece you put in between and where we can find them? Is it plastic or Aluminum? Cheers
You don’t have to wet sponge it after to get the texture finish?
Hi, your video was very informative and I followed it to build my bar with glass blocks/tiles. But I am not sure how to securely place a glass countertop on top of the glass bar I built. I see lots of photos in various sites of glass or granite countertops on glass block structures. If you have any solutions on this issue please send me a note, thanks.

What? You didn't show WHAT you werw\e doing on the first row! What materials? What is this track system ? Utterly useless video.
OHHHHH MY GOD IM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS BEST VIDEO INHAVE EVER SEEN
All of these rude @$$ comments have East Coast attitude written all over them.
How about the name or the brand of the efflorescence cleaner? That would make your video really really useful don’t you think?
I saw your comment and a two second Web search shows he used Artisan Efflorescence Remover. He most likely isn't being paid to endorse the vendor but is he!ping others with general tips so just be nice and appreciate his time and efforts.

This video wasn’t very helpful There isn’t a link for the track website
What about sloping for drainage so water does not puddle?
What a pathetic "how to" video, waste of time.
so "how to" comprises buying proprietary cleaners and following the instructions on the label. Naturally these are items available in USA sad, I was hoping for some info on what active ingredients to buy from generic sources, not overpriced "specialist" cleaners.
This should be a drinking game. every time he said conduit, you take a shot!
Probably should dig down a bit to see how far that crack goes down past the dirt. You can fill all you want but won't amount to a hill of beans if the crack goes further down then you expected.
I know that doesn’t work against a good weather storm .
Ah-thanks for the tip on concrete type. Would concrete bonding agent painted into the crack help hydrolic cement stick better????
Is it okay to use expanding foam?
You didn't mention the product you were using to clean efflorescence. Is this available in Britain?
Ridiculous not to go below the soil line
😁😆🤣😂
👍👍👍👍👍
Could that hydraulic cement be put into a bag like an icing bag for decorating cakes with a tip and be squeezed into the crack? Just trowelling in on seems not enough.
hello what is the clad stuff your using in between blocks ??
With respet ok. But that it is temporary and cosmetic fix. First you have to find up what it is causing that problem so fix that and then do what you are doing in this video
For below ground cracks, do you have to clean out the dirt first for the cement to stick?
Yes!
I'm glad I watched this video I have a problem with water coming in I'm going to try this thank u ou so much.
um...you didn't dig a hole next to it to seal the crack below the ground line...
Does a crack in the foundation of a rancher need repair?
Most people don’t realize how many trade restrictions exist inside the United States. Every special interest group tries to get special protection from competitors. One example of how these trade restrictions negatively impact the vitality of the American economy is glass blocks, like the ones shown in this video. The glass block factory is under orders to make the worst glass blocks possible. The blocks must be ugly and expensive, so that they don’t compete with window companies. In truth, glass blocks can be beautiful. They could easily make glass blocks which are crystal clear, and four feet by four feet in size. A large glass block contains about two dollars worth of glass, and requires almost no labor to produce. So Home Depot could sell them for less than twenty dollars. But Anderson Windows would be be unhappy about that. Anderson Windows cost five hundred dollars. And it’s the same story with our cars, and our food, and our gasoline. Everything is frozen by trade restrictions. So we’ve got to get rid of the trade unions, the bribe taking congressmen, and the trade restrictions all at the same time. Glass blocks are so cheap that you could build houses out of them.
Amen
How would the string level work over 40ft???🤯
If your not at 8.5 inches then you need to add gravel or sand to bring the slope up or remove gravel to lower it to 8.5 inches

How long did that take to do?
Thank you so much, this resolves this issue for me, I have ants, colonies of ants crawling into the house through cracks.
What if you have cracks like this on a brand new home under construction?
warning sign
@@chrishayes5755 We got an engineer to come out and do an inspection on the home 👍 thanks for the comment.
Great information! Lose the music...annoying!!
Nah... It's never cracked.
The stuff is strong.
The crack supposedly reaches the tar line under the soil, that might be why he didn't address it. Although it looks too wide to be ignored.
A guy from Massachusetts should never say the word "caulk" on camera....lmao
Gotta caulk my block 😏
Iv mixed both before with motar mix works finme.they say use S Mortar 🧱 mix because it softer and won't crumble in cracks or joint's.
Thanks!! Great tutorial, but please, change that music.
I m in the caribbean it s that way will old in a shower it s about 100 every day here
Hank, why didn’t you address the issue first? To give people more of an explanation... There are 3 results when reading a crack. If the crack is the same width top and bottom, then it could be concrete shrinking or if it’s on a hill then creeping. If the width is bigger at the bottom than the foundation is sinking at the crack and needs to be lifted/supported. In this case the crack is larger at the top so the corner if the house is sinking and needs lifting. ***If you shove in cement then a foundation repair can’t be done.*** In this case, the corner of the house can be piered and lifted. The lifting action will close the crack which it can’t do if you fill it with concrete.
I have the same crack and stops right at level of ground .I dug down to check. Should I just cover the crack with cement like this ?
Is that Martin Short?
Omg best video ever it saved me so much time thank you
