So yes, barefoot really did help a TON with my shin splints - my biomechanics were all out of whack and my heel striking is what caused so many injuries, especially shin splints.
IMPORTANT - visit a licensed doctor to diagnose your condition. You may or may not have stress fractures, compartment syndrome, or other things that need to be looked at with an MRI, CT scan, or x-ray.

interesting. i have scoliosis too. But my orthopaedist said I should wear orthopaedic insoles.
How much $$$ do they get from the orthotics they want to sell you! Depends - is one leg actually shorter or longer than the other? Is your spinal health based off poor foot strength? Too many factors for me to diagnose you over the screen, but returning to natural is always a great first step!
Thank you!
Thank You
2:40 millions? No billions, bro. Billions of us now have messed up feet. Shoes are as bad as shampoo, fluoride toothpaste, the food pyramid, public education… the west now has terrible standards.
I can't do construction work/manual labour without hard shoes on. If I didn't I'd have broken my feet atleast 100 times by now
or... just weae shoes with a wide toe box.
If I do this I end up buying shoes that are way too long and end up sliding towards and back alot when running and other stuff
This is the 2nd video of yours, that I've watched. A LOT of talking, but not saying anything. Nothing useful here 🤷♀️ .
i don’t deny that this helps people, but i’ve worn normal shoes for both sport and regular walking my whole life, and have had no foot issues whatsoever. my feet look perfectly normal and have never bothered me. fwiw
Bullshit
definitely cubribing u
Hi! I have scoliosos just like you showed in the photo. And I wore insoles in my shoes for 3 and a half years, but I am not cured. Just that my left foot is 1cm shorter that the right one - before it was 1,5cm shorter and there seems to be improvmement. BUT, scoliosis is still there. How did you do it? I tried some exercices, nothing worked ...
Wiouldn't the latest trail (trail III) be better?
wear skate shoes not any tight toe shoes.
Hey James I really hope you see this answer because I truly feel like this is the key to everything: Flat feet allows for more pronation which can give athletes an edge when it comes to high acceleration short distance sports. E.g 100m 200m basketball, etc Whereas having normal arch good looking feet excels in high distance such as marathons. I am a flat foot overpronator but kept getting injured every time I tried long distance running. I was a state champion when it came to 100m and other short distance runs.
What if you're flat footed
Appreciate the subtitles.
I'm sure your channel will grow fast!
Hey James from Canada, I’m here on a mini binge after seeing your Le Bron’s feet video. FYI: your IG link on here and your website isn’t working. I’d like to get in contact with you 😀
James from Canada, great video! You’re funny! Yay - 10k+ subs 🥳
What about the wedding and the confessional?
I am a busdriver for about 10 yrs now, so doing a lot of sitting. Due to shitty chairs I have been shifting my sitting position a lot and noticed the last 2 years my growing back discomfort. Well, I have scoliosis now. Looking for a solution, stretches, excercises and such to get it better. I have always been a runner though and been into barefeet running for about 5/ 6 years now. Ive done 3 half marathons now on my Vibram toeshoes and never looked back from regular running shoes where I had injuries on the regular. But anyways, looking for any advice at all. Cheers.

Complete honesty is what I appreciate ❤ thank you dude...
why you flexing your biceps like a gimp?
Hey brother did you try these inside the gym? Or weightlifting outside ? Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks
This is just wearing a size too small. Or the wrong model of shoe. Nike makes very pointy shoes that jam the small toes up. This is just fearporn.
The protected/unprotected is a common enough that you should have checked it. If nitecore lied about it then yeah, absolutely, but if not thats just how it is. They're different form factors and making them work with both is a purposeful design decision. Also for liability sake some don't want their product to be compatible with unprotected cells.
the only reason these guys feet are shaped weird is because they are profectional athetes
I like to play sport barefoot. Without any shoes.
That's an AI generated foot right there
no that genuinely is a close up of LeBrons foot
Ty!
Thats why I wear vans after breaking them in the toe box is pretty wide and still looks StYliSh
yeah but ur a blob so does a shoe even fit??
Hello James ! Thank you for your advices and experience. Same I have scoliosis but not specific pain and I just started barefoot exploration. I don't feel pain switching directly, but I'm walking a lot in the city on asphalte and concrete, do you think I should take care of something or change my way to walk ? I'm feeling the floor of course, no pain but muscle sore a bit. Also, what is your opinion about the Lems brand ? I'm thinking getting some 9to5 model. All the best ! Thank you
changing waling technique not necessary - just walk naturally and don't think about it! Start slowly - especially for jogging or running - you can certainly strain muscles inadventantly Lems makes good shoes! Personally I prefer vivobarefoot (thinner sole, better build, lighter) but lems is a decent choice!
I want know if barefoot shoes really work make your foot big use them
I want know if barefoot shoes really work make your foot big use them
I mean you are right and wrong at the same time. This will affect people who are extreme athletes or work physically demanding jobs. So i been wearing shoes my entire life and my feet is not deformed. I run 2 miles everyday in my shoes for 20 years and my feets looks perfectly normal. I think as long as you dont buy extreme fit shoes or play an extreme sport/ physically demanding jobs. You are going to be fine
Nba athletes have horrible feet from playing in new shoes all the time. Sponsors don't want players rocking worn sneakers. Shoes need time to break in and mold to the feet. And you can't compare runners to basketball players. Runners aren't loading their foot with anywhere close to the lateral force that basketball players do.
Do you ride your bike barefoot as well?
no my pedals are too pokey for that - painful! though I have seen people put artifical turf on their pedals and it's tempting..!
Barefoot shoes? What nonsense. I just go barefoot everywhere. Doing so for two years already. People hate me, employers deny job oportunities - good. To be mocked and discriminated against is the sign of true freedom. Go barefoot and take no step back. That is the only solution.
English equestrian is still for high class people with money. Can confirm this because my wife is a equestrian cross country rider. 🤣 Better have money or else you aren't doing much of anything in the equestrian world. If you are paying for your horses boarding that's the cost of a monthly mortgage.
Rather than paying outrageous prices for "barefoot" shoes, more affordable options like wide and/or foot-shaped shoes (e.g., Altra and Topo) are perfectly viable, allowing your feet to remain well-cushioned while being able to splay your toes. The "barefoot" shoes are artificially price-gouged, as are other niche products like "keto-friendly" foods. I use a variety of shoe shapes, heel-toe offsets, and cushion levels, so I don't get too used to any single platform, allowing my sensory nerves and muscles to re-learn how to stride & balance from day to day. I also use a vibration plate to help maintain leg/foot muscles and balance. Variety's the spice of life, and it doesn't have to break the bank.
well.....what about the millions of people who wear shoes who do not have a problem at all?
honestly if you just people watch and look at the average gait and posture, those millions of people have truly terrible form. Just watch - look at peoples biomechanics simply walking. It's horrendous. At least 90% of people have total crap posture and gait
I came off of a stress fracture in my foot 2 months ago, should I wear barefoot shoes for just general walking, should I wait a few months or would it be good to start soon and strengthen my foot?
start slowly - be attentive to any pain and trust yourself and the signals your body is telling you
I wear shoes 1 size bigger
i love the leather Jesus style sandals, i want a pair!
barefoot shoes look kinda grim, and normal shoes destroy your feet. The solution is simple. CROCS!
Still manufacturing in the global south and part owned by a shady BVI shell company LOL
global south? portugal ain't global south and many vivo shoes are made here! Hell, thailand, vietnam aren't even in the southern hemisphere :P
