It’s interesting to see the hate. I don’t love the show but it really hasn’t pissed me off and I was ready to dislike the show. I disliked the prequels but Clone Wars fixed a lot. Clone Wars introduced the Nightsisters and witch magick. They made it possible for Savage to wield the force. I haven’t seen anything that breaks canon or upsets me. I’m happy to have more to discuss and I won’t give a final verdict until it’s all out. I haven’t seen any forced propaganda yet. I agree with a lot that you say in your video.

Your video is disingenuous. The only part of this show that is good is the combat. In order: 1)Breaking canon while introducing the fact as or in a previously unknown event is fine. Being able to use a hyperspace drive as a weapon in a huge engagement completely changes StarWars. 2)Your example of Ford saying idc references an event that doesnt impact the lore? One of the acolyte cast said Anakin blew up the death star :D, you have to be stupid to compare these. 3)You show clips of explosions not fire in space. Literally 5 seconds to google what fire in space would look like czcams.com/video/qA6HLeGw8xg/video.html. Attention to detail in a shot that is supposed to be her PAYING ATTENTION TO THE FIRE???? Who would think that would be important. 5)StarWars theory is threatening to sue because the WookiePedia owners were saying his brand encourages death threats and violence, both of which are untrue. He caught them changing dates in real time while streaming, doesnt have anything to do with the threat to sue. Would be careful what other lies you either are propagating or blindly believe, there will be consequences if you keep at it. 4)You mention the sets and costumes look cheap, the writing is bad, there are holes besides physics, retcon birthdate to shove a character in, actors performance is bad. "Butttttt iam there for every new episode". Sounds like if it wasnt StarWars visually themed, you wouldnt watch it. StarWars had story themes and characters that resonated with its audience because they were pulled from mythos originating from all over the world. The show is getting hate because people want it to be good.

The writing and performances are the least of the problems and every major youtuber you showed very clearly articulated it. The problem, in essence, is that Disney Star Wars is no longer the original innovative vision of George Lucas. For that reason alone, it absolutely deserves the criticism. yes it does. When the main star of the show literally saids "this show is made to make white people cry", it deserves the hate. I do not support anything made by racists people. Even going far out to make a stupid rap video about all the "hate" she gets as a woman of color. This show has the worst promotion of any Star Wars project. To me that's why it truly fails. Never attack your own fan base. Especially when the show fails to deliver. One cool action sequence cannot save an entire show. The weakest aspect so far for me has been mae and ohsa. Nothing about them makes sense to me.

I think there are people who really do want to jump onto either the hype train or the hate train because either train is going somewhere, it's full of passengers and it makes people feel like they are part of a community. Personally, I'm not spewing love or hate. I watched episode 1 and I haven't watched any since. I actually didn't notice the fire at first, but after someone mentioned it, I did find it emblematic. Fire needs fuel. I would say in the other examples you showed, there was fuel, but in this situation there was not? it's something that could be picked at, but to be honest I'm not super invested so if I'm asked to let it go, I'm good with that. I think the problem is more than that though and of course, as I said it is emblematic. it's just one thing among many. It's hard to keep track of everything so we tend to keep a memory of the more seemingly egregious things and then present them as reasons why a thing was bad for us. It may seem nit-picky but there is so much more, and that demonstrates a production that seems sloppy and just poor quality. It makes people upset because any changes to lore are perceived to be done sloppily and without passion or vision. I believe that when someone changes lore in a way that provides quality storyteling, then I'm sure people don't mind. That's just my feeling. I think the reason many people are upset is because of perceived poor quality or lack of foresight. I don't think it's a case of different taste, I think many people are insulted because they feel Star Wars is being treated like a commodity and with no respect or care. People love Star Wars because of the rich universe with a fairly consistent back story. It was like how people love the universe Tolkien created. Then someone comes along and changes key aspects to make a quick buck... people feel angry and I can't say I blame them. Of course, if you feel happy with disposable fiction and don't see any major issues with this, then that's fine. I just like to listen to your thoughts and offer some alternate viewpoints.

Movie ticket prices are the biggest issue. People used to go to the movies a lot as a thing to do when it was cheap. Now that its not cheap and wages are suppressed, people cant justify going unless a film is this once in a lifetime masterpiece.

Remember how Endgame, No Way Home, and Civil war did it? And just compare these movies’ finales to What if and secret invasion’s! Those two finales were rushed and forced. Endgame’s worked because it took over a decade of buildup and it had emotional resonance for the audience. Civil war’s cap v iron man worked because it highlights their inner conflict and it recreates a comic cover in a high note. The NWH Tobey, Andrew, and Tom together scene works because they played a huge role in the movie story, as it pays homage to the spider verse event in an emotional manner. These are stuff the MCU nowadays fails to do after 2021: making fan service organic to the story like how Civil War, Endgame, and No way home did.
