Stop The Tripod
Hey there! These past few weeks we've been working on dealing with different turtle positions. Here are the techniques we drilled this Wednesday at Frontline Academy. I usually film in an empty room for best audio and no distractions, but I find it hard to organize and schedule the time for it. So, I'm trying to film during some of my classes at Frontline Academy Bergen. Please let me know what you think of this format. Let's get into it! 🤙

    Islam Makhachev did it with Dustin that lead to submission. He know Dustin don't expect it! Dustin must be just expecting normal shoot the single or double leg.. . In his fight with Charles Olivera, he don't get the take down from shoot single or double leg, but he get take down from some judo throw from cline.

    It's way harder to stay on someone's back when they stand than people think. you have to maintain the chest connection like your life depends on it, and the Suleov Stretch isn't super easy to get to

  • @qtip1926
    @qtip1926 Před 2 měsíci

    Arguably, you don't really need to slam. . . If you can maintain base and posture you can just schuck them off like the guy did. . . That said, I don't think a 'slam' is necessarily the bad thing. . . It's lack of control. . . I've stood up with people on my back, and then they try to power half and crank my neck almost slamming me into the mat. . . That was just as if not more dirty (because it was an escelation)

    Maybe reset the fighters and give a point to the guy who COULD have slammed his opponent ? slamming is bad IMO, but i think having fighters being allowed to stay on someones back like this creates an opertunity to exploit the rules.

    Id like to get slammed every now and then controlled and with someone i trust just because its what would happen outside of the gym but most people would not like to be slammed so its generally a dick move.

    Does putting yourself in a situation that could get you slammed to the ground constitute taking advantage of a ruleset? This is not something that one would do in a fight... Just a thought.
