the tutorial for this game is horrible. it told me nothing about anything aside from the fact i have to pay other merchants and leave my assistants around. good thing it was free, otherwise i'd be pissed.

Love the Undaunted games Normandy and North Africa and reinforcements were great to play multiple times. Haven Haven't played Staingrade yet and have to get this one. Looking forward to the Undanted 2200 Callisto being released in September 2024 as well. 🎉

31:38 Yeah, learned a lot about the history of the revolution. I was the same, didn't know anything about the DR, nor really about the mafia until I recalled the movie Godfather Part 2. Made me start researching the whole history of it which I really had no interest in before. Look forward to learning about history from other games in the COIN series. Side note to restate @jharrison3501 comment could only hear about every other word from Ben N.

Netrunner got me back into tabletop games after years away. Once they discontinued, everyone I knew stopped playing in an instant. I found my cards but random ones are missing.

Nisei's startup format addresses a lot of the issues with expansion bloat. The card pool is just the core sets (the NSG ones) and the two most recent cycles. Sure you get rotations so you will need to learn new meta every few months, but you at least don't need to remember the full history of the game to play.

So if I understand this right the resupply card means that after you add whatever card you choose to go into your resources first, you can pay the 3 to add a second card in resources whereas you normally couldn't?

There is something about cards with blank text boxes that I just can't stand. It just seems so cheap and lazy. That's the vibe I get every time I see this game.

This was a really good video, i looked it up and the pre-order prices seem very reasonable, the art style seems ok if a little bland but not a deal killer. But when i went to the website to look up the rules they where kind of scattered and its written like a script for a CZcams video which might be easy to listen to but takes its time to get to the point. I left a comment on the website about that and hopefully there receptive to it. My friends are way more into star wars thdn i am but im more into games so hopefully this is something we can meet in thr middle on! 🎉

No. This game is not for me. I know that because the money will go to the Disney corporation. A corporation that breaks the law, treats its workers unfairly, and uses its influence to crush competition illegally. I really wish more people would research Disney and their past and current business practices before handing over their cash. Marty, however, is the best!

I want to see this game succeed, but given FFG's track record of starting and discontinuing games and the fact that SWU has set rotation (meaning your cards are not tournament playable after 3 sets) unfortunately means I won't be getting into it sadly :/ I had a blast testing it GenCon and my girlfriend loved it too.

The most important aspect of your segment is FFG wants to the Community around this game. It clearly speaks to the fears of the local game stores have. Most stores were gun shy because of Star Wars Destiny and Star Wars the Card Game. Great content on this game and I hope to see you across the table in a friendly game or Tournament game, real soon. as much as I hope this game will find its footing, Theres a LOT of competition against it, not just magic yugioh and pokemon, theres lorcana, one piece, now the new dragon ball game, theres also sorcery, NETRUNNER, just got a reboot. Theres a lot of things going agaisnt it right now. Granted the star wars community is obviously large and very dedicated. Its also survived without a main stream card game for decades. Meaning unless its significantly cheaper and wide spread andit wont hit the same issues of distribution such as with bandai right now and the recent problems with Lorcana and players not having enough product available. Its very possible that this game might stumble. Theres a lot of opposition, but theres just as much going for it as against it. It seems like it has been really well recived so this game might be the little train that can could in the tgc scene!

Excellent video and ive already preordered a bunch. This game fits in such a nice slot for me. Its a tcg that i can teach almost anyone and they dont have to worry about things like getting screwed on resources or timing rules for instant style effects. Its hitting a really nice spot where its easy... But man if you really wanna go farther the depth you can achieve is amazing.

Unfortunately I’m not buying this game. I was heavily invested in star wars destiny, best game ever might I add and they discontinued it. I felt a sharp pain in my back when I seen this game coming out.

Excited to play this in 2025 when I might be able to get my hands on product at MSRP. :)

Great discussion... i did my best to teach Cuba Libre and more recently People Power on my channel using methods similar to Rodney Smith's style. The Playbooks are *pretty* good but they might not cover everything a new player needs.

This game intrigues me. I like the take one action back and forth. I thought that was the best part of Star Wars Destiny. I think it causes more tension than the you take a turn and do all the things then I do all the things, etc. I also think it lends it's self to traps and bluffing in there more and this game can kind fall between Netrunner and say Magic. This is where I've personally been wanting a game to fall. The fact that Jeremy Zwirn is working on this is a huge plus too. How fast does this game play?
