    • @endurogoons2735
      @endurogoons2735 Před 6 měsíci

      Honestly, not too sure. My guess would be anywhere from 15 to 20mpg for a stock 250sx. But obviously very dependant on the terrain and riding style. For this trip, I packed a couple of Gatorade bottles full of gas. Ended up upgrading to a 3 gal tank to get more range. The stock tank is only like 1.9 gal. I'm also running a lectron carb, so that helps make it slightly more efficient as well.

    At some point that had to be a monumental task to clear all that deadfall from the 2nd & 3rd trails you rode. Lots of chainsaw action there. I'm guess from past forest fires. I assume these are all deadend out & back trails correct? What was the deal with the string across the trail?

    • @endurogoons2735
      @endurogoons2735 Před 6 měsíci

      Yeah that must've been quite the job to get all that cleared. I'm guessing all the downfall was either from forest fires or wood beetle kill. The first two trails (#025 & #059) are dead end trails because they run into the wilderness boundary. The third trail (#116) isn't a dead end as it connects to some other trails and forest roads on the other end. There is another couple short singletrack trails towards the end as well. So you can do a bit of a lollipop loop if you want to. Honestly not sure what the string was there for. We rode that trail the day before and it wasn't there so I was surprised to see it. Didn't seem like a booby trap or anything though.

    • @endurogoons2735
      @endurogoons2735 Před 7 měsíci

      I run all my two strokes at 44:1. Never fouled a plug ever. Even when running at low rpms. And by stars, I'm assuming you're talking about sprocket size. I believe it is just stock gearing, which is a 13 tooth in the front and 50 tooth in the rear. Hope that answers your question.

    • @the_Jonny_
      @the_Jonny_ Před 7 měsíci

      Wow, 23ml per 1 liter of gasoline is pretty small. My friends pour 30-35 ml per 1 liter of gasoline, for greater safety of the piston Spring would have come sooner, I have never ridden a 2-stroke motorcycle before, only a 4T.))) I will also drive along forest paths, country cross. I would also really like to learn how to jump, it's very scary for me

    • @endurogoons2735
      @endurogoons2735 Před 7 měsíci

      @@the_Jonny_ Actually no, the fuel mixture is just fine. The piston is plenty safe lubricated I can assure you. I run Maxima Castor 927 fully synthetic oil. Lots of guys say to run 32:1 but run shitty oil. I find it makes the bike run much worse and doesn't offer any added protection. Experience over hearsay. Been doing this for years and have put lots of hours on these bikes. Good luck adjusting to the two stroke this season. They're a lot more fun than the four strokes

    • @endurogoons2735
      @endurogoons2735 Před 7 měsíci

      By candles do you mean sparkplugs? And by flooding do you mean fouling? And by low speeds do you mean low rpms? The answer is no. Never fouled a plug in any of my bikes. They perform fine at low rpm. It's a technique called lugging and it's done on purpose to maintain better traction and control when riding tight, rugged terrain such as this. I run all my two strokes at a 44:1 ratio.

    150cc is enough to ride for fun? Doesn't it pull bad even at low revs? I want a KTM 150cc for myself, but many people dissuade me. For my soul, ordinary rides, not super difficult hard, etc. I also want to roll along the paths, maybe jump somewhere

    • @endurogoons2735
      @endurogoons2735 Před 7 měsíci

      The 150 is a lot of fun! It is light and nimble and packs a good punch for a small bore two stroke. It does not pull hard at low rpm at all. If you want it to pull hard, you need to keep the rpms up. It requires clutch work and lots of shifting. Not a lazy man's bike.
