Sam, an enthusiast who has autism, filming elevators, escalators and moving walkways since late 2008, although I didn't start uploading until late 2011. I used to film & upload some video game levels, but I stopped doing that a while back because of copyright restrictions. A little more recently, (alongside filming elevators, escalators and moving walkways), I starting filming a few other things, such as my elevator/escalator shirts, my Menards light up billboard with interchangeable decals, my custom LEGO escalator I built a long while back, bridges, tunnels, a couple model trains in 2 restaurants I ate at, and some lights. More recently, I stopped filming as much because of issues with the elevator community and all of my family’s plans. I’m not as much of this kind of enthusiast as I used to be. My interests are going through some more changes.

This bifold door CD player has 2 separate speakers and the main player. It's a very unique item that I've never seen before. It also has a little orange display screen and works flawlessly.

MEI Hydraulic Freight Elevator at Topeka Vendor's Market

The first freight elevator I've ever filmed at Topeka Vendor's Market in Topeka, KS. It was originally a manual freight elevator when that existing building was expanded, which added several more floors. It was then modded a couple times, then MEI came in and completely replaced it more recently. It has the reflex leveling system. Installed in 2020-21.

The long and kind of narrow elevator at The Pennant Restaurant with arcade games in the downtown area of Topeka, KS. It features a rear door, square Dewhurst fixtures, tiny dot matrix indicator and pyramid lanterns. I'm not sure when this was installed.

The all glass and steel scenic glass elevator in the center court at Independence Center in Independence, MO. Good views of the Dillard's wing, center court and escalator sets on both sides. It's still absolutely breathtaking. Installed in 1998 when this mall did a large renovation.

It’s a very unique one because it has a bifold tray door of where you insert and remove the disc. It was just this once. I’ve never seen something like that before. I still mainly film elevators, escalators and moving walkways.

No I wasn’t; they’re still keycarded off. I could only go as high as 2. The key card reader is on.
@@mariokart8715 Now the key-reader is on, so the highest you can only access is the 2nd floor, and you can't ride the elevators here unless you are staying here.
In the elevators at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, there is a rare voice, saying, “Welcome. For guest floor access, please touch your room key to the key reader, and press your guest room floor.” It keeps saying that every time it stops at floors.
@@mariokart8715 Yes, and sometimes that happens when you press the button, it will say that, or when you didn't select a floor, it also says that too.

Little History The Brown colored elevators were installed in 76 by Montgomery G&P along with the Montgomery freight, when the new atrium was built in the 90s the blue colored cab elevators were installed by Dover and Dover also modernized the Montgomery elevators from 76 with new impulse buttons(still original Dover buttons) The Dino exhibit has a Dover from the early 2000s and the newest atrium with the new ticket booths from the early 2010s has a Thyssenkrup. The only original elevator is the 1976 Montgomery freighter which I believe is relay controlled and has G&P fixtures still. After a recent visit the old Montgomery/Dovers are parked on the first floor with the doors open and are shut down.

This elevator is traction. The modern hydraulic elevator machineries did not exist until the 1950s.

This is definitely an elevator I would want to film one day. I’ve filmed a couple gold Schindler HT’s though which is the one at Dillards at Jefferson mall and the one at 1301 office campus at Allen
Wait I had no Idea that you even got to film at the Gaylord opryland. This hotel has over 20 elevators and I managed to film them all during my recent stay here
I believe this store is now some type clearance center but this elevator reminds me of Sears at Collin creek which closed and was demolished in 2019.

A couple days before the 30th anniversary of elevator/escalator photography (June 3rd). Yes there are: in Kenwood, Rookwood, EastGate, Forest Fair, West Chester and Liberty Township.
