Make a motor puller for fans and blowers
This is a quick down and dirty about making a tool that took less than 15 minutes to make. If you only have spare parts or a hardware store to choose from then this is the ticket (plus it saves you $$$). Everything should be self explanatory and don't worry about precision because the center bolt will have some play. It hasn't slipped on me yet.

Repairing a Bacharach Informant 2 sensor head
zhlédnutí 465Před 3 lety
I bought this used and the "perfect condition" leak detector was busted. So to make use of my loss I fixed it and found out the flammable gas sensor was bad but the refrigerant sensor was still good. That's okay but I didn't want it for refrigerant leaks because these have been known for weak performance compared to others.

  • @watcherwatchmen7785

    I see two types of gaskets for sale. One type is 1/4" and the other is 3/8". The part you were repairing in the video was a 1/4" gasket, so what part of the manifold does the 3/8" ones go to? I noticed that you put the gasket in with the tapered side facing outward, correct? Mine was so disintegrated I couldn't tell which side goes in where.

    Two of the guys at work have the inficon d tec 3, ive used it once, im not so excited about it, not that i can back that up with anything… i was looking more toward the fieldpiece dp82, but bacarach meters were pretty decent in the gas industry, build wise, is the bacarach not really reliable, we end up in 407c,452a, r32 and probably alot of 134a which you looked to struggle with…the specs on this are for pretty tiny leaks at 0.5 oz/per year, im undecided on heated diode vs uv sensor…

    This was helpful but I did make one modification, rather than trying to pick out the old gasket with a sharp object small screw driver I grabbed a wood screw big enough to bite into the gasket, screwed it in (not to far) and was able to pull the old gasket out with pliers on the screw head. I now keep that screw with my replacement gaskets!

    • @tthack84
      @tthack84 Před 3 lety

      I wouldn't say the the srw vs drw would make a difference necessarily. But I would lean more towards the actual bed shifting too far to the side and failing before the truck would tilt too far with a single wheel axle. When this bed is lifted up, you can actually push it side to side about half a foot both ways on the cab side of the bed. That's one of my recommendations is to beef up the bed while it's off the truck. But back to your question I think load class E tires is a must for srw and does fine for me.

  • @Just_Chuck_It
    @Just_Chuck_It Před 3 lety

    I love my Pierce Arrow dump bed. It works better than I could have ever hoped for. I built two wedges that fill the areas just infront of the wheel wells that product can be hung up on. They install by two clamps that hold onto the under side of the bed. When I don't need them I pul them out. Makes dumping so much easier. The thing I love the most about the dump bed conversion is your truck still looks like a standard pickup truck. But it gives you so much more versatility.
