The only time I really use time stamps, is if I have paused a video, switched devices, and my progress in the video wasn’t saved or saved correctly. It’s nice to have the time stamps then to get me to my spot faster. Another great cast guys, thanks!

I don’t really care about timestamps, if I’m watching a video it’s either good enough to watch the whole thing or not. I think chapters help with Google search as I’ve had many times where I search for a topic on Google and it takes me to a timestamps in a CZcams video…

Great to see the three of you together again, I'd be interested to hear what Daniel's work flow is for editing his videos. For me timestamps are great to have on long videos but I rarely use them. Also cricket bat 😂

I have this to say. Apple ghosted Jon Rettinger when he published a video Apple didn't agree with - I find that to be unprofessional and borderline childish. As for Marques, Apple needs MKBHD more than MKBHD needs Apple. Marques has gone on the record to say the Apple Studio Display is a bad deal and he said the M3 MacBook Pro isn't a worthwhile upgrade. I feel that authenticity gives Marques credibility and he's out to help the consumer and not be a PR piece for Apple.

the only reason I got an M4 is because I just dropped my M2 and when I did the insurance claim, my replacement was an M4, base model, but I'll take it.

Apple wasn’t sleeping, they wasted their engineering talent , focus , time, and money on the discontinued Apple Car project, instead of focusing on innovating, developing, and improving their current products, I.e. the Vision Pro, Macs, iPhone, HomeKit, etc, all of their current products seriously need new hardware and software upgrades. If they wanted to build a car, they should have partnered with a current car maker. Imagine how much time, money, and effort they wasted. Apple clearly has money to burn.

I will out “Everyday Dad” Alex who said the Magic Keyboard was heavy. As someone who uses both I laughed too. Dude needs to go to the gym. What he forgets is that the weight creates lap ability that do not exist with Samsung keyboards. Alex, you and I are of EXACTLY the same mind. Prefer Samsung generally, but cannot completely give up Apple so I have iPhones, iPads AND Galaxy phones and Tablets. I feel like Android OEMs like Samsung push the envelope while Apple holds things back for the sake of profits secure in the loyalty of its user base. As a fellow DEX fan, Apple could literally dual boot into MacOS with a keyboard and iPad OS as a tablet and be the ultimate mobile device. Heck you could plug an iPhone into a monitor and with the right silicon run MacOS. Samsung would absolutely do that if it could, to separate from its competitors on Android but DEX is the best it can do. My inability to go all in on Android is just about 3rd party apps being either exclusive to or just better quality on Apple. Frustrated me to no end.

Good stuff, gents--discussion of current events, entrepreneurship, psychology, marketing and the two fantastic personalities. I don't understand what Minus Sixteen means, but that's OK. I particularly enjoyed when David talked about pushing through and growing his channel and when Alex discussed the psychology of product association and the curation of his channel. Seriously, the success and failure stories are golden. I think the most attractive part of the pod is that you guys don't have everything figured out and you share those stories with the audience. So much of CZcams is trying to be perfectly polished and I for one am not digging that anymore. This pod is the opposite. I've seen the change in your guys' confidence, body language and willingness to open up and tell more personal stories over the life of this podcast. That's been the most fun. Cheers!

What is the screen like after longer use? I use my ipad Pro 2020 11 inch, which is LCD for work and leisure. Emails, Teams, Excel, Word, movies, TV shows, procreate, and gaming. All combined, like 3 plus hours per day. Does the oled 1000 nits of brightness hurt your eyes??

So I use an iPad Pro M2 currently and use it for mobile gaming. I’m wondering if the OLED screen along with the M4 and a higher Ram if I go with the 1 TB version would likely be better for gaming. Any thoughts on that ? Thanks

Have a 27” iMac for serious work and iPad Pro 12inch 4th generation and should be receiving the M4 1T with keyboard on the 15th may, would have liked a bigger one say 14 or 14 inch screen. Use Affinity photo a lot on the 27” iMac but just can’t use it on the iPad, not as intuitive.

Careful with the Magic Keyboard, I’ve had two and keys fell off both. Maybe I am a bit heavy handed but I’m buying a 3rd party one next as having two key caps missing looks poor and not buying another for £350.

I disagree, the incessant assertion that the iPad Pro, in terms of OS needs a variation of Mac OS in order to achieve “true perfection” is “Plain Silly!”

But you will have to wait until reviewers have tried using it for more than a few minuts to know if the benefits of the decrease in weight is bigger than the benefits of extended battery life

I would also like for you to be able to export a version of your project from the Mac to the iPad to add thinks like live drawing and the export et back to the Mac and finish the project there. Right now you will have to start on the iPad but that means you cannot make big changes to your live drawings if needed after it has been sent to the the Mac.

The only solution is to allow a dual booting of Mac OS on the expensive pro versions. They can release Half-Baked versions of productivity software for iPad OS but it's never going to be enough. What they really need to do is on the really expensive items. Give people the option to dual boot Mac .. Just like you can dual boot Linux on Chromebook. Obviously you don't need this on the air or maybe even the base models of the pros. But once you're spending 1,500 bucks or whatever, it's a joke not to have the option to run Mac OS... They also need to have a touch screen on Mac. Not by default but as an optional add-on. Artists are getting so screwed by Apple by not being allowed to use a stylus and desktop software and extensions on one device. It's ridiculous to force them to a laptop and a tablet and a phone. Realistically, if you allowed video output, one device should really be able to do all three of those things.

Use 3d sculpting app like nomad sculpt and it will eat your ram. In 2d work you´ll probably never fill 16gb of ram

As a true operating system, the iPadOS is less than 5 years old, so it should have a high ceiling on what can be achieved with the OS. Until the M1 chip was introduced to the iPad Pro in 2021, hardware was still a limitation for the iPad. As you guys indicated, Apple is going in the right direction with the iPadOS. My view is that the iPad Air is the ideal model, it sits in a nice price range and has the required capabilities.

The biggest way the iPad will fail is if Apple does not redesign iPadOS with better file and window management. The iPad is faster than M3 Macs but that power is wasted by being chained to a poor OS.

David and Alex, do you look at analytics? I absolutely refuse to look at analytics because that would send me deep into the CZcams rabbit hole. Mark Ellis Reviews said he took the CZcams Studio app off his phone and he said he regained his freedom. I'm wondering what do you think?

Incredible podcast guys. One of my favourite episodes so far. David, your new angle just looks incredible. The purple LED in the background really adds to it, looks incredible. Alex, it was great hearing the passion behind the issues with creators buying views, even me as a viewer has spotted this, seeing the huge amount of views with hardly any comments on some creators videos just proves it! You both seemed so relaxed too, was a great watch. I for one love hearing about the behind the scenes, dealing with brands, valuing yourself etc.

David, I trust your judgement and it is your channel - I'm just expressing my opinion. "Clickbait-ish" titles. I saw the numbers for your "Apple March Event Confirmed" (not sure of the exact wording since you changed it) and how well it was performing. The issue I have with the original title is it aged like milk. I mentioned where did it say that the March event was confirmed and your original title bothered me because I knew it wasn't confirmed on the news and rumor sites. Your "clickbait-ish" title did work and you got a massive amount of views, but I would say use those kinds of titles sparingly. I don't think there is much wrong with using those types of titles occasionally , but if it becomes routine on your channel people are not going to watch such videos. It's a tightrope and that's why I cannot give any definitive advice. Every CZcamsr wants the views - that's a huge motivation for posting videos. I also make videos so part of me does agree with doing what you need to do to pull in the views. Inspired by your video I posted something with a clickbait thumbnail and titled and it was one of my better performing videos. But part of me didn't feel right about how I got that engagement. However, those feelings only reflect personal preference. CZcams is your business and you gotta do what you gotta do. What I'm saying is use clickbait sparingly because it might turn people off.
