Just put a condenser in my 2015 Silverado crewcab. Having issues with the radio. It seems to hav a mind of it's on. It starts changing stations on its on. Took it to the dealership it was under warranty so they fixed it. Two maybe 3 years later its doing the same thing. Make me think they put a faulty one in. 😂😂😂

About to do this on my father in laws 05. Better than a chisel, is the torch to heat all alone the hub before pounding. My 05vue took a 24 penetrator soak, torch and hammer, FOR 3 HOURS And i also coat the hub in anti seize before i put it in the knuckle and wire wheel the knuckle clean too.

Thank you! A person could also save time with the removal of the old links by using an impact driver on the bottom bolt and simply hold a wrench on the top (or vice versa if your impact is stubby enough to fit on the top). Get it off in 5 seconds!

@ 70k Miles my 14s plate popped right off with some penetrating oil and some channel locks. Probably didn't need the oil. I flipped the pill. I live in LA so the trans should always cycle IMO. HUGE THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Nice tge radiator was key and shortens work time by hours working on the lower cooler line nuts and the top bracket bolts. Thanks

Transmission gonna fall out! I have 2006 Dodge ram I bought it with 15000 miles had a buddy bought 2015 Silverado had it three years and torque converter failed! I still have my 2006 Dodge .Towed a boat for 3 years .Still going strong.

So nothing about the tail light harnesses corroding? Crazy. Have 4 of these trucks in the family, all 4 have a corodded turn signal bulb, varies left to right, from the socket inward. Somethings wrong with the sealing on the tail lights

I take it you didn't spin the motor over by hand a few revolutions after assembly to see if everything was happy?

We were thinking it was transmission solenoid is out or we dnt know yet till we take it apart

Went with a pure 750 for my 2018 M2 LCI and it was the best thing and gave me some headroom. I make 600whp with flex fuel and 520whp on 93oct. The n55b is an amazing engine.

Those back three spark plugs are very hard to get to. That passenger bracket is problematic and those wire packs on the driver's side are difficult to remove. I got the middle spark plug fairly easy but decided to save the other two for later when I have some better tools to access that bracket. Japanese designers certainly failed in this design on these engines. Spark plugs are essential like oil changes and these people screwed both of these designs up. Great engine and car but the stupidity is beyond belief with these designs.

Mine is a 2017 Ltz 5.3 lt It looses power while driving to the point where it will turn off, I switched the battery still does the same thing Idling sometimes it starts to shutter I sometimes punch on the pedal and it doesn’t respond as it should , it starts to take off then looses power.

Do you need to get a valley cover ? Or just a gasket in so confused

I've had my 2014 for 4 years...90,000 on it now and it has the shake that comes and goes...but twice ( after getting the rpm up) it shook violently until I let off the accelerator....crazy...not sure what's going on...

Everything you talked about is slightly incorrect. 1. The torque converter fails because gm programmed the TQ to slip A LOT. this can be fixed by reprogramming the TCM ($600) 2. The overheating of the trans is from the TC slipping a lot. After the fluid is overheated by the TC, it goes right to the clutches and ruins them. 3. Lifter failure comes primarily from improper maintenance/ oil. If you let your oil changes go, it will build up sludge inside the tiny passages and cause the lifters to fail. This can also happen from using too heavy or too light of oil. The lifters need to release on the base circle if the cam or the lifter will break, using the wrong oil will change the timing of the lifter. And yes, you can turn off DOD with hptuners and you will never have a lifter issue because of the DOD LIFTER.

i have a 08 pontiac gp gxp so i know most of it is all relatively the same but for more power stage two or 3 bc i’ve read a form from summit racing saying you can’t push those cars over 400hp

Incredible that people are suing for grinding cam lobes off due to a bad lifter. There's a minimum IQ required to own a vehicle and if your engine is making LOUD knocking sounds due to a stuck lifter for long enough to grind down a cam lobe, you fell short of that minimum IQ. I'm always amazed when I see guys online that continue driving their truck with a loud lifter noise and then later whine on the groups or youtube when they need a new engine because their ignorance filled the engine with metal.

One thing I've noticed is everyone pulls to the front of the vehicle then immediately down. I didnt touch exhaust or anything. I slid straight forward. And pushing the Trans cooler line up to keep the pan as level as I can sliding tword oil pain. A little force is necessary but mine slid out with 3 little smacks

I have a 2018 5.3 6 speed 4x4. When I run 87 gas, I notice hard and clunky (downshifting) shifting. When I run premium fuel, the transmission shifts smooth and does not clunk. I wonder if people running low octane gas is leading to the harsh shifts which lead to failure of the converter and transmission. The computer shifting algorithm seems to be written to how the engine performs running premium gas instead of 87. The 5.3 is listed as being able to run 87, but I do not think it is good at all to run 87 and I think these really need 91+ to run properly. If your truck is used to running a certain octane fuel, you will have to run a tank or two of the changed octane level before the computer takes on and you feel everything smooth out.
