Really great filming! Nice video 👌
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂馬鹿な人さー❗️🤣🛫🛫
Extra impressive that it could do this takeoff, and also landing, on pretty much any half decent stretch of road. Literally no need for special built runways.
Back in the days when sweden was worth defending
and why don´t you feel it´s worth defending now?

I flew The Saab 340 A and Bs. Very nice Aircraft! Especially the B models. Never got to fly the SAAB 2000. Looks like a powerful fast A/C.
Det där är ett sjukt snabbt plan! Hercules landar och startar på ungefär lika mycket landingsbana. och det där är gamla Viggen

Vackert att se. Stolt att vara svensk när jag ser detta vackra flygplan.
war thunder takeoff fr
? And what's so special about it? It's a takeoff like any other. The distance is shorter than a passenger plane's but a Cessna also takes off after a very short distance.
So what other 50 year old fighter jet can do what this video shows??
@@Dimage666Probably all of them, provided that they still can fly. My father is older than 50 years old and he also can still takeoff after a couple of beers.
Let me know, with video evidence, when you get a Cessna 152 wheels up at 200kts in 10 s from start of roll.
I'm proud of my country for quite literally dominating the aircraft technology and AS fighter capability during the Cold War, not only did Sweden develop the first successful post war Jet fighter with a swept wing design, but also the first tailless double delta wing aircraft, which also lead to the first ever use of the Cobra maneuver. Our air force was the 4th largest and could hold it's own against both the USSR and the US air forces.
This is what happens when you let everyone go to university for a cheap cheap loan. Loads of creative and techincally inclined people will have access to advanced mathematics and education, and development will be relatively cheap. Swedish ingenuity is truly something to be proud of. My cousin was part of developing the wings for JAS. He told me they bent them double in the stress test, and they held. They maxed out the limit multiple times and after that the head engineer said "let's break them for fun" and the amount of force they could take was imense. When they shattered it was like confetti. My cousin said that the celebration party afterwards was epic.
@@johnnywalkertexas1213 Yeah, my old math teacher was on the diagnostics team when the JAS-39 Gripen was being developed, he said that even though it has an automatic eject feature if you go above 9Gs, it could easily handle 11-13Gs, it was only for pilot safety. Literally no part of said feature was to preserve the structural integrity, because there was no need
No reason not to acknowledge Saab's achievments, but no - they didn't develop the first successful post war sept wing fighter jet, they did come in a close third though. And "dominating the aircraft technology" (literally or figuratively) is a bit of a stretch, given the competition during the era, wouldn't you agree?
Great!
Message to Putin - Do not mess with Sweden. Message to NATO get them in asap.
I remember that sound. Growing up in Linköping in the 70s only a mile from the test field there were almost daily test flights. My mother was not happy about the soot that kept landing on our patio :)
Does it still in service for swedish air force??
Nope, last flight was 2005
No; it's been replaced by the JAS-39 Gripen (Griffin) which is even better. (and that's from a Viggen fan)
Excellent plane, very advanced!
Har du bytt tåg mot flyg på din kanal 🤔🤔🤔?
I prefer to see the Viggen landing. The only jet fighter with thrust reverser.
Panavia Tornado. Of course the Viggen was always the better fighter, but you were "wrong on the Internet".
Förut hade vi Viggen, Volvo, kärnkraft och ordning och reda.
Det var på den tiden vi inte behövde släpa på EU-frälset, massvis med Söder-hipsters, miljöpartister och en mängd dolda makthavare.
What an impressive takeoff that was… astonishing!

No need of wheels on the moon hahhahahahahaahahahaa@@Dimage666
I initially worked with Viggen during my military service about 26 years ago at F7 in Såtenäs, Sweden. During my 11 months there, the Viggen was replaced by the JAS 39 Gripen. The Viggen had a more powerful sound than the Gripen. It was always impressive to see them take off, especially with after burners at night.
Well, the Viggen engine is almost as big as an entire Gripen. Well, not really but the size difference is insane
Viggen ROARS while Gripen howls.
Me 2 but i was in F4 :)
Nice and reliable Air craft 👍❤️🇧🇩
what is so impressive about this????
From standstill to airborn in about 10 sec. There are other videos showing it done in 8 seconds. The jet is more than 50 years old, compare it with others contemporary and you'll understand whats impressive.
That was one short take off - straight into an evasive turn
When I was in school my classmates wanted to be firemen, policemen, rock stars, movie stars and/or otherwise famous. My ONLY desire was to be a fighter pilot. Sadly I had to get glasses when I was a junior in high school. Unrealized dreams.
america is so behind in technology
america is at the forefront in technology ^^, even if you dont like them you cannot pretend they arent
America has stealth jets that can shove a missile up your ass from beyond the horizon
Isnt turning right after takeoff a bad idea?
Not if some rebel is waiting for you with a manpad at the end of the airfield
Yes. But turning left is a great idea 😅
IF you take of on a public road, you might run straight into woods if you fly straight ahead
Thats why he turned Left

Not much, if the ZELL Starfighter had ever entered service and done a 15 minute landing, rearm and refuel and take-off like a Viggen has.
