New vision-based Autopark for Tesla Model 3 2024 Highland (Update 2024.20.6) #tesla
New vision-based Autopark for Tesla Model 3 2024 Highland - Update 2024.20.6
Notes: Your vehicle can now automatically park - and parallel park - in designated spaces.
When you're driving at low speed, your display highlights potential parking spaces. Autopark shows a circular P symbol to suggest a space, but you can choose any highlighted space.
To start parking, stop the vehicle, press Start, and release the steering wheel so it can move freely. Refer to the Owner's Manual for more detail.
As with all Autopilot features, you must continue to pay attention and be ready to take immediate action including canceling Autopark.
Works with vehicles with and without USS (Ultrasonic Sensors), outside of North America. Video taken in Spain, and works in all Europe generally.

Do you need premium connectivity for this option?

According to Tesla: “No. If the vehicle's software is kept up to date, connectivity plans will not affect Autopilot (includes Autopark). As a reminder, all vehicles have access to over-the-air software updates.”

Nice party trick. I have the Model S and the only real use case would be when it's too narrow and I have to use 99% of the available space back and forth to park, but without a camera/sensor on the front it can't be trusted to do any better than I would.

the steering does not finish straight when it completes parking (tires are definitely always straight) when it plays that completion chime (at 1:48 in this video), is that a deliberate gesture of the steering wheel? i thought my car has issue with front wheel but after watching your video it seems like a normal end to auto park. are you able to do autopark with perpendicular parking lines, all my car see is just empty space and never gives me an option with P.

I didn’t realize until now that it does this weird small turn at the end… maybe is because in some places you have to park with the wheels pointing to one side if there is any problem with parking brake? I remember few years I’ve got a ticket in SF because of this (in that case was parallel parking, not battery). When it comes to parallel parking it did not detect yet any parking spot, even having few available. I believe it is detecting them by the lines in the floor, and where I have tried it they did not have length limitation… maybe because of that it didn’t work….

Also, this is something the software updates of the future should take into account. Now, and specially without the stocks in the 2024 M3, it is a pain in the ass to activate and deactivate the high beams manually.
