Been there done that (X times). The XT250 is one my list and hope to get one soon. For off road riding highly recommend a glove and a MX boots (insurance for your leg).

Put on some knobbies, pull off the front wheel mudguard, Ricochet Skidplate, Brighter headlight, Handguards, Risers, Pro Taper Bars (Windhelm bend) , and finish it off wiht pro taper handgrips. At least that what i did to mine.

I love them. It’s like a snowmobile with wheels

Nice bike, I have floorboard and another parts bike with forward controls. Good point about standing over the shit that passes for roads. Any exhaust options g it your ear?

Turn signals are self canceling I know because I have a 2023 can am Ryker sports 900.

Does the Ryker jerk your body around?

Check the tires while they are warm. The air pressure will increase as the tires heat up. 28 psi on cold tires could turn into 32 psi when the tires warm up.

I'm looking at all kinds of bikes just like that. You made the right choice because those heavy adventure bikes, it takes the fun out of it. It sort of works, but you lay it down in the mud and try to get it up again. The lighter the better as long as it gets you to the trail. Not that I've had one. I have a 600 Shadow that I take on old roads and once I tried it on a trail and barely got out of there. It only weighs a little over 400, like 420 or something, but it's too much weight when you get off trail.

Lmao if I saw a motorcycle laying down I'd record myself walking up and pick it up and If I heard any movement in the house I'd yell an explanation and that I have video proof I was just picking it up so it didn't blow the engine

Thanks for posting the video Mike. I've been going back and forth over whether to get a Speedmaster and it has all been down to whether the bike would look good with the apes on them. I currently have a Bobber and finally decided I prefer comfort over looks and you've proven they do look good on the Speedmaster. Now I can have the best of both worlds.

Mike, I know this video is a year old, I'm assuming you found that you could adjust the brake angle.

I have been thinking about going with the mid controls on my SM. I have been trying to find someone that has had them installed. Kind of worried about my 67 year old knees. And the forward controls are definitely easy on them. But I could see how the mid controls would plant you on the bike better for those twisty roads. Man I love the twisty’s. So question….does the bike feel more handleable, manageable, able to flip it from one turn to another? Crap you know what I mean.

What’s the best way to get all the wire the same length so when I hang them they are even. I have 10 sound panels I need to hang and I’m struggling to get them all even side by side

Awesome first ride. Your salesperson/company did NOT do a good job running through features when you bought it (Mine also did not due to these being in short supply so they do not sell enough to remember details, perhaps). Is a CVT so no gears to show. Turns signals DO self cancel when making a full right or left turn but if you do a soft turn angle and/or use signals to change lanes then they do not self cancel.
