What’s the steps to take the axle out?
Off the top of my head - 1. disconnect rear drive shaft 2. lower shock bolts 3. panhard bar at chassis 4. parking brake cables from chassis bracket 5. breather hose on top of axle 6. trailing arm front nuts 7. lower axle and remove springs as you pull the axle out.
@@luso_overland awesome thanks!
Thermocure is non toxic, anything that came out of your engine is product of the iron oxides that dropped out, harmless to environment. Now any actual coolant is toxic, unless you use Sierra or Prestone Low Tox it's also safer for your cooling system as it does not become acidic like other coolants in 6 years or less, so if you spill some you don't need to worry about the implications it's base chemical is used in cosmetic products lol...... Oh yea Sierra, and LowTox Prestone is ok to use with aluminum engine parts....
@@blkcoupequattro great info, thank you!
Could be a leak
What a P.O.S. But I could deduce that was all the product was because you're not even fitting a 5K BTU sealed system in that space, which might actually be effective but far heavier vs that thing empty. And it's going to increase humidity, especially in a tent or small space. Evap cooler, 100%, no thanks.
Marco you really seemed negative about the IcyBreeze. For the price point compared to the ZeroBreeze which is 1200+. I got mine on Marketplace place and it was the Platinum with every option for $250. Living in Florida makes tent camping more comfortable. The motor noise is a little loud but helps me fall asleep. Sorry you didn’t like it. Keep up the great work big guy.
Nice! I'm just about to do this tomorrow lol

I have the same wheels on my 05. Are the vinyl stickers pre cut?
Yes, pre-cut vinyl from a company called TVD
@@luso_overlandthanks! They look great.
Well, it kinda of worked your way on my 07 ES. I tried a hose but couldn't stop it from leaking. So Autozone suggested a barbed double-head joiner and actual 3/8" rubber hose. Which didn't leak. When you're running the engine be very attentive to the coolant level. It does surge and suddenly you'll find it's hitting the bottom. You don't want air locking up your systems and burning out your cylinder head. Keep all your bottles open, nearby and ready to go. I flushed with distilled water and then when it came out clean in the bucket I started with the pink. It fill a five gal bucket up so I began to fill empty gallons. They became pink. So I shut off the engine. Drove for 20 minutes and everything sees good. Thumbs up!
Did you run the heater while flushing the coolant? Thanks for the video!
Yes
@@luso_overland Awesome, thank you for the tips.
Great video, think I have the confidence to tackle this project. 2 Questions: 1.) Will this method also work for the 2017 Jetta TSi ? & 2.) How many gallons of coolant will be needed for a exchange ?
1. Remove the return line when the car is running, if coolant is free flowing out of the return line then this method will work. 2. Check your owner's manual for coolant capacity of the system and then budget a little extra above that since you'll waste some with this cycling process.
@@luso_overland thank you! Appreciate the extra tips

Awesome Presentation, Thank You !!!

At 6:29 you show you disconnected the fuel lines. For the life of me, I can not get those disconnected. Did you just use 2 wrenches to loosen that? Mine looks exactly like that but that's not one of those quick connections is it? I have one like your bottom line and another with just a squeeze clamp but they both are on there really well and not budging.
Yes, with the age of these things they can be quite the challenge. Spraying the threaded connections with penetrating oil for a few days helps. We just used two wrenches to undo the high pressure line, a flare wrench is a good idea since it has some additional points of contact. For the rubber hose, after removing the squeeze clamp, you'll want to grab the hose and rotate it to break the seal loose before trying to pull it off. I hope that helps.
@@luso_overland that does help. Thank you
Another awesome video! I love that you're making these videos for us. I've bought those t's from Luso already. Did you do anything different when you fill and bleed your coolant after draining all the coolant from there? Or just the normal way? I feel like I'm not getting much rear heat now after installing those.
Just the normal way of adding coolant with the 2 bleeders open until coolant comes out. It couldn't hurt though to use one of those coolant burp funnels that attach to the radiator to try and get more air bubbles out though.
I have a 2006 but it’s not a limited . Do I need to do that ?
All 2004-2006 in the USA are Limited trim. But if you're outside the USA then just check behind your center armrest console, if there is a climate control panel back there in the 2nd row then yes, this applies. Thanks!
Do you sell any of your cars? that run great

Very nice to see this video just to confirm a post I saw from Reddit. The below is the person who claimed to be an VW tech, hope it helps. “VW tech here. We have all sorts of fancy equipment for this BUT I prefer to use the homemade version. Its a lot faster and easier. Get the car running so the heat blows hot. Disconnect the rubber hose from the coolant reservoir bottle and connect it to a long plastic rigid hose (Home Depot $2). Place the other end of the hose in a 5 gallon bucket. With the car running, keep topping off the coolant reservoir bottle as the old coolant is draining into the 5 gallon bucket. Once you see the new coolant start to come out of the hose, you can disconnect the HD hose and reconnect the rubber hose to the reservoir. If your coolant system is really bad, repeat the process after driving for a few hours. Here's the important part --> USE ONLY VW COOLANT. You may also want to clean out the reservoir bottle if the sludge is really bad.”
My too on my 2014 tdi jetta wagon . Tks again !!
Does this work on the TSI engines?
Not 100% sure but I think so. Just take off the return line off the side of the reservoir with the engine running and if coolant is flows freely out of it then it is identical.
My gas needle is not working properly somwtimes , even when I fill up. Both Auto Zone and O'Reilly told me it was the fuel pump. Does this sound like a correct diagnosis?
Yes, it is usually just 1 of 2 possibilities: 1. Fuel Pump because that is where the float is that sends the signal to the gauge with the fuel level. or 2. The gauge/needle/instrument cluster itself could be bad but this is probably less likely.
Thanks for that info. I'll try and get it fixed before this hurricane hits us. Thanks for your help !
Thanks for the video mate, was straightforward and easy to follow. 👍 I just finished using this method to flush out all of the old G13 coolant from my B8 Passat and replaced it with G12 Evo. I've always wondered if you could do just this and let the system flush itself with the engine running. The only thing I did different was at first I kept topping up the overflow bottle with demineralised water until the return hose ran clear into the bucket (just to make sure the G13 was completely flushed out), then I switched to adding the fresh coolant until the return hose was running a solid pink colour. Worked a treat, thanks again!
Thanks so much for the tech session. I used it today to remove a brake booster. You rock Marco!
You are tenacious.

Really enjoying your content way down yonder in Argentina, I have a 2004 Montero Limited I bought from a couple who drove it all the way down from Alaska, it runs great except for one issuie occasionaly when starting my Montero , this issue happens only lets say 1/15 starts, she mostly fires right up, but sometimes I get in and it does not respond when I turn the key. All the dash lights are on when I am trying to start it, but nothing from the starter. I've always been able to get her it fire up by shifting into nuetral and trying again except or today she wouldnt even fire in neutral. I finally managed to get her to fire after shaking the battery a bit. I did replace the battery a couple of weeks ago so dont think this is the issue. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, parts are hard to come by down here.
Hi, thanks for watching. Try posting this question in the Facebook Group "Mitsubishi Montero/Pajero Gen 3 Squad" and I'm sure someone will have some ideas for you.
Not for nothing, if you change your coolant/antifreeze on time it would never break down like this and/or use water to top up!
Hey my hose have rust in them, is there a way to clean them out, im unable at this time to get the two hose.
Sure, you could remove the hoses and soak them in vinegar for 24 hours and then take a plastic bristle brush and scrub out the insides of them.
Can you show how you replaced the two rear coolant T's that you mentioned at 13:08?
czcams.com/video/auLj97YR66s/video.html
Cleaning vinegar and distilled water also works well as a cooling system flush.
That stuff works great, I've used/suggested it many times.
Is it recommended to flush with distilled water until it runs clear or can you just proceed with what you showed in the video? Thanks for this video by the way.. Seems like a really simple and great way to do a full flush.. Way better than draining the radiator boot, which doesn't even clear out all the coolant
You could do it that way but if you're trying to get every drop of old coolant out. Certainly wouldn't add much cost, it would just take a little longer.
How long did the entire process take? (getting 2 gallons of coolant out of the system) Thanks!
Around 30 mins.

Seconded. Especially the wiring aspect would be good to see
My fuel guage is not reading properly sometimes. Is this my full pump or float?
On many cars, the pump and float (sending unit) are two different things installed into the tank but on this vehicle the float is part of the pump. Maybe it's possible to just replace the float portion of the pump but it might not be sold individually and you might have to install an entire new pump. And there's always the possibility the problem is a gauge issue in the cluster.
Uuff ❤❤❤
about to do this on my 2017 armada - thanks!
Nice! Any updates, would cranking the heat clear out the heater core?
I believe so, i had the heat on the whole time.
If u do this with a hot engine isn't the coolant under pressure and will it splash all over when open the cap or not really..
Also do u really need to plug that nipple when removing the return hose?
@@andreadebiase3997 Be careful when removing the cap on a hot engine, put a towel over it or get the car hot with the cap off from the start. As for covering the nipple, you don't have too but then you won't be able to add much coolant to the tank as it will flow out of the nipple when it reaches that height so you'll have to keep a closer eye on the fluid level.
@@andreadebiase3997 I tried it it will push a little bit when u pull hose off burp nothing bad
Hey man. Hope you can help me out here. Mine has the same booster. ABS light keeps flashing when i check, I noticed the accumulator has some oil on the top of it (the upper part that looks like a bolt) is this still ok?
Hi there. How's the fluid level in the reservoir? Are you getting any warning sounds in the cabin like a chirping/turkey gobble sound or a solid alarm tone coming from the center of the dash?
How do I take out my knop of the transfer; mine 2001 Montero/Pajero does no came out screwing.
Sorry, as far as we know they are all the same though some foreign market vehicles might have had a different set up.
Do you no longer need the metal line that sticks out of the sending unit?
This just replaces the factory fuel pump high pressure hose. It does not eliminate the need for any other part and does not have anything to do with the sending unit, only the pump.
@@luso_overland your mixing up the pump with the Sending unit. The Sending unit is what the hose actually attaches to. Where the metal line sticks out. I had to replace the Sending unit, the entire assembly. The new assembly does not have the metal sticking out where the hose would go over top. Basically the male part that goes Into the female hose. My question is if the male part is required or will it work once the 2 ends are screwed in?
@@kingsofthenightent4897 Sorry, I can't picture what you're describing but you need a male end on both sides to screw the female ends of this hose on to.
How did you know you needed to do fluid change
There was no record of a full service ever being done and the trans was shifting a little weird.
I love being out in junkyards too! It’s the best. Glad you scored well
I check it every time I do my transmission fluid drain and fill
How do you get to it, by just taking off the big top nut on the top of the housing?
@@luso_overland 2 nuts hold it to the block don't take that big nut loose remove the studs loosen the fuel lines relieve the fuel pressure unhook fuel pump harness under back seats and start car until it cuts off
@@ryanblackwell8617 Ok, so same procedure as in this vid, was hoping there was a shortcut.
