Why are we evaluating players that are gone? I don’t get it, let’s look at the present and future. For whatever reason these guys were not loyal!

All I can say about those 2 players. Was they both felt some sort of entitled.. which ur not gonna get at mist high level division one schools. Especially at DUKE !!!! BOTH players were both 4 year players with alot of potential but ready 2 perform as freshman at this level right off the bat. Both of them struggled most of the year adjusting to college basketball.. Stewart struggled picking up the defense concepts, communicating. Powers was better at picking it up. But couldn't guard anyone. So both were liabilities on defense. Scheyer has to play them in spots here and there until they really picked up. Which they didn't. Who ever told them it was a good idea to transfer are idiots.... enabling these kids who feel entitled... smdh. But it did show me their true character that they weren't gonna bust there azz and put the time in.. so to me your just a Pretender... Not a CONTENDER. Duke was most definitely better off with both of them.. I wish them the best but u weren't who I thought u originally were

Huge pros to DUKE BASEBALL & SOFTBALL for a great Sunday. They flexed their muscles in Charlotte, and pulled out a tough game on the road against Missouri ! Can't wait to see if we can be competitive in FOOTBALL, and am cautiously optimistic about our HOOPS later this fall ( we really bite the bullet in November ! )

I dont think I'd go that far, all the starters were inconsistent at times this year imo. Not having a solid rim protector I think hurt the team too. I felt like JR could always get a bucket when hitting his spots from midrange. Wish he'd taken over games a bit more. Also MM seemed to not shoot as many 3s this year. I know that's not his forte maybe but still thght he could've shot a bit more from deep to help stretch the floor. Wish them both luck going forward tho but not against Duke lol.

I love Foster! With extended minutes this year I expect him to be our floor general and go to when we need a bucket. We were soo much better when he was running point in my opinion, he keeps the ball moving!

This squad is going to be fun to watch. But I disagree on his Maliq Brown analysis. Maliq is a true forward who does most of his work in the interior. Mitchell was more of a tweener forward that moves around the perimeter. Maliq can even give us minutes at Center!! I can’t wait for the season to start. #GoDuke

I know this episode is about offense but Duke’s defense is why they’ll be in the Final Four next season. Imagine rolling out Tyrese Proctor, Sion James, Cooper Flagg, Khaman Maluach and whoever else. These guys are ELITE and the whole roster is 6-5 or bigger. Think Houston level defense. Don’t need a great offense to win - but we might have one!

Can’t talk about spacing and then have Brown and Maluach play together. Brown also isn’t making a move off the dribble vs anybody lol

Khaman Maluach would have played in FIBA World Cup & Olympics before he even plays a college game for Duke! Tyrese Proctor did play for the senior Australian Boomers at age 17, in Asia Cup qualifiers, which isn't quite the same.

They will be overrated like they are every year! Cooper Flag will nit be what people think he will be! #GOHEELS

I'm a little worried we don't have a ball handling guard. But we can't really fit another player into the rotation. Plus that would likely lower the team's avg height and that's no fun 😂.

Kon Knueppel is going to be that backup point guard. I ain’t worried about ball handling at all. Flagg can even be a point forward just wondering how this team will mesh early only bringing 2 guys back with new faces. Duke last season took until about mid December to even shape into something and that’s with 4 returners coming back

Coach Scheyer is knocking it out of the park this recruiting season! Goodness Gracious!!!! Whatever the tactic he is using to approach these veteran all-star transfer recruits, its working! His final roster for next season is going to look like a WHO'S WHO list of the greatest All-Americans, 6'6 and taller, from around the country. LOL. OMG! Are there any new players on that roster smaller than 6'6? An embarrassment of riches, I am so happy for you guys! The Cameron Crazies must be losing their minds right about now, salivating the payback tour that will be on display next season.

Conor, To me the best asset of Sion James is he is a capable back court defender and this is exactly the main weakness of Duke projected two leading guards at Proctor and Foster. Whether Sion can be or become a capable ball handler remains to be seen. On the flip side, many people believe K2 can do a little bit of that too although he is a freshman. Some people even vision Sion as next Nate James (although not related).

James will be a fantastic addition to Duke. Can't wait to see this new season's team suit up together.
