Wonderful video! It’s funny- I resonate with a lot of these as we have been doing a lot of Charlotte Mason style homeschooling (some of which works great) but some of it definitely does not. I’m coming to realize that we are our own homeschool philosophy🤪

I know this is an older video, and I'm just coming across it now, but this was incredibly helpful! I'm strongly considering Masterbooks for LA but was, in some ways, preparing to suppliment. However, I felt like I'd be supplimenting too much until I stumbled across your video. I still think I'll go a different route for spelling (thinking BJU spelling), but that's it! Thank you for clearing up all the myths and sharing all these tips!

I’m so sad that I just found her channel and I didn’t realize her story until just now. Someone in comments said she had passed and may she rest in peace and thanks to her She gave me so much insight and so much helpful tips on homeschooling and even though she’s not here she still helps and I appreciate that she shared her journey in her homeschool life with us, it just shows that everyone needs to be grateful and thankful for their life and cherish every moment when they can. may she rest in peace .

I am so sad. I just found this content and to hear this lovely wonderful woman has passed just confirms how important it is to cherish every moment we get with our children.. just as she spoke of in her previous videos.

It’s weird how someone you’ve never actually met can still kind of be a part of your life! Im curious. I found the worksheets and quizzes but no answer sheets. Not sure answer sheets are worth buying the teachers manual for... Is it pretty easy to find the answers? Ill read them the book so i assume i can find the answers as i go?

This is the best of the "homeschool regrets" videos that I've seen and I'll be taking these lessons to heart. I consider myself to be a Charlotte Mason homeschooler so it's a good reminder to keep an open mind and that it's all right to change directions when necessary. I especially love the reminder that we *get* to do this and spend extra time with our kids. I know you can't see this, but I thank you.

This is the most helpful video ever because I purchased just the phonics materials (First Start Reading and the Classical Phonics book) and had no idea there was any instruction beyond the First Start Reading teacher manuals! Could I get away with just using the teacher manuals and not use the comprehensive lesson plans? I'm not using MP for anything else at the moment and not using their Storytime Treasures.

This video was so, so helpful. Thank you! I'm wanting to switch to Masterbooks science, but was worried about how to do it with my incoming kindergartner and my older kids. Ordering God's Design for Heaven and Earth, and I'm so excited now.
