Thanks, I used your video to install the dash cam on my seal. The dash cam doesnt record sounds, which could be important sometimes. The image quality is acceptable, and the driving info is nice. How do you upload the footage to your phone? Or do you need to physically remove the SD card?

I have one and it works pretty well. Sadly no GPU encoding though...

Hello from Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) and thank you for your videos. We had the OTA here a month ago, and besides all the new features you comment I found a new one: Before the OTA, when I turned on the remote Air conditioning with the app, if the last time I drove I turned off the car with the music in loud volume, the car started the air conditioning and the music too at that volume! But now, if you turn on the remote air conditioning it doesn't happen anymore. I like this new feature.

Did you buy the protection plan?

@3:36 -- It averaged 26.5 MB/s write speed. That is USB 2.0 speed. @3:57 -- Regarding the read speed being faster: It averaged 100 MB/s. Nothing special. Also, every flash drive is faster with reads, compared to writes. With high-end consumer level flash drives, the difference is negligible. @6:03 -- Why does Sandisk's application not work with other manufacturer's drives? Answer: Just for spite. That would be like you installing Microsoft Word, and it will save your documents (or load your documents) only to (or from) Samsung drives. Of course Sandisk's application could and should work with any drives. Sandisk actually went out of their way with their app, to detect if the drive is a Sandisk drive, and they wrote their app to deny all other manufacturer's drives. We are talking about copying files. That is as basic as it gets, and yet Sandisk created their app to intentionally not function with other manufacturer's drives. I would never want an app that intentionally limited itself. But I am not surprised that Sandisk did that -- read on: Sandisk is a Western Digital company. Western Digital treats its customers like vermin. Pray that you never have a warranty claim with any Western Digital products (that included Sandisk, G-Technology, HGST, etc). You will learn just how effective Western Digital is in 1) frustrating customers to give up on their warranty claim, 2) sometimes taking months to ship replacements, if ever, and 3) trying to stick you with fees to get them to fulfill their warranty obligation. Refuse to pay the fee, and suffer the myriad of their delay tactics. They can ship your replacement right away. They just refuse to do so. So just when your storage device fails, and you now have a problem... ...rather than Western Digital trying to help you, they frustrate you and try to get you to pay a fee. Seagate is the opposite. Seagate goes out of their way to help the customer. Our host's title reads: "The tiny USB drive worthy of the ULTRA title" Ultra how? It has poor write performance, and barely passable read performance for a USB version 3.1 device. If you can pick one up for under $10, and you want the features and metal casing, then go for it.

Nice BYD adding useful updates making the car better. Tesla we usually get a major update every 3 months to keeps things new and fresh. However often times too much change isnt good. Minor updates once every 2 weeks.

the 3 finger A/C is a game changer

Does any one know how to change the "distance remaining" from km. My car is in miles (UK) but the app does not pick this up and can not be changed. I charge using off peak electricity and I think the app is sadly missing the charging functions. My Kia app had a "charge now" button. The BYD requires me to go to the car power it up and the power it down where the "charge now" button appears.. This is still the only BYD we have seen on the road but hopefully more people will chose this brand. Its very good and I have very few complaints so far.

When starting the car there is no radio. Even when it was turned on the last time I used the car ( BYD Seal )

Now you can choose if you want to silence the speed limit beep, but keep on the signal recognition so it doesn’t disappears fr the HUE or the front screen. You have signals and it keep flashing when you overpass the speed limit, but it don’t sound anymore. You can add a shortcut in the top menu when you slide down. And the beep from ADAS now is way more quiet

Hello, the icon upper left is for traffic signal info. You now can connect or disconnect swiping down from the top of the screen and select icon TSR to connect or disconnect with this quick access ( shut up the warning ) is the best of this software I think. In Spain they have also enabled opening/closing with the mobile phone or Apple Watch Sorry for my bad english 🤣

Its a icon that shows if the speed sign recognition will beep at you or not when going over the speed limit, that icon right there shows its on and it will beep at you when you go too fast, otherwise it has a X over the sound logo in the icon

So, does anyone know what that top left speed warning icon is? I am really curious.

Thanks for sharing this valuable information. I am also a SEAL owner. Anyone knows how to solve this problem and get the car alive, if we don't have the physical key with us? Most of the time I carry only the NFC card and /or the smartphone with BYD app.
