I can never do the reverse arm slam... I think the command is df 1+3, but I never managed to do it! I only did it once in a fight and never again.

Tekken 3 is good....but he doesn't have a quick ground attack when opponent is on the ground meanwhile paul has a quick punch,and elbow...he has everything in tekken 3 which needs a gaming character...

One quick question regarding Tekken 3. Can King reverse while running 3? I'm abysmal at execution & could only reverse Law's. With Lei, Hwoarang & Jin, I couldn't ... . Does it have to do with the characters considered airborne & King got air grabs from Tekken 5? But then, why was Law's running 3 reversible ???

What controller do you use for playing Tekken? I was doing so-so in keyboard & then tried Logitech F310 & man the directional inputs are so messy. It makes me think of pad players as magicians. How does the DualShock feel to use ???

So are you keeping up with the Tekken 8 development? I was waiting until the final character announcement trailer & then share my thoughts. Michael Murray in almost every interview keeps saying that they have created everything from scratch. It almost seems listening to a tape recorder playing the same lines again, coz he will always say that how they were creating Jin & how at first it didn't look like Jin even though they've done it numerous times & finally how they nailed it. Why does he need to clarify every single time about 'everything from scratch'. We all have eyes & we can see the reused animations. Only in one video interview from IGN before the CBT has him saying that the engine is UE5 whereas the logic behind it is theirs. It was understandable during the sprite era that how Capcom & SNK reused assets, but these guys just stretched it decades. I personally am of the mindset that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I loved that the animations got smoother with each successive generation. Also, he & Harada said that they would have more characters at launch than their competition. Yeah! For a legacy game which reuses animations, sure it would. Street Fighter 6 & Mortal 1 Kombat are games which are created from the scratch in the literal sense of the term, & they ain't bragging about novelty in their games. Do you watch Harada's bar? He'd recently invited Kakeru & Tokido, & said that they when they came to know that the release date of Tekken 8 was the same as one of their competitors, they postponed it (he meant Street Fighter 6). If that was so, why everyone who played the CBT are talking about changes & fixes? If it was supposed to be ready by June, then October play should've been without any major issues. I was happy when I saw the Azucena trailer. Finally a non-sexualized adult female. Lo & behold! there's a bikini costume variation selectable at the character select screen. At least in Tag 2 they had males too in swimsuits. Also I'm tired of the Japanese trope of young, underage sexualized girls. I mean, Lili's Tekken 8 costume has visible pantyhose, & she's not even left her late teens I guess. Recently I played Tekken 6 & it bugged me to no end that in Asuka's ending, the camera went for the underskirt view for Lili. I guess game devs are perverts. The Tekken team must've been aware of the leaks, that must be why Reina was announced without a surname. Her imitating Heihachi's idle stance with her palms open looked weird to me. I'm just waiting for Victor's & Reina's move lists to surface. When I checked out Azucena's move list, I was disappointed, just like I was with Tekken 7's newcomers post launch. Starting from Tekken 7, they reused generic throw animations for side throws. Launch Tekken 7 newcomers have different side throw animations, but Leroy, Fahukumram don't. One of the biggest selling points for me regarding Tekken was animations, but I guess Tekken 3's animations were so great that they show up even today & pass the mark. Also, from Tekken 7 onwards, Tekken's graphics feel like WWE games to me. You see how some characters have good-looking models whereas most of them have poor models. It's understandable for a game based on real life people to fall somewhere off the mark but Tekken! Old men in Tekken have very detailed models, Azucena looks like Tekken 7 model, Law's face looks goofy, Paul's face doesn't look like Paul to me, ... where to stop ... Everyone's complaining about Steve's face. Is the team still figuring out Unreal Engine ??? Damn! Uniform visuals for all characters probably died with Namco's proprietary Engine. One of the trademarks of Tekken was visual clarity. They stomped on that in Tekken 8. There's a lot of visual noise on screen. Even Blazblue & Guilty Gear have a lot of elements on screen but they aren't distracting once the player understand the mechanics & characters. This one reminds of the colour palette of SFXT which hurt the eyes when it launched. The 2013 update fixed the shaking lifebar. Heat mechanic! Damn! I don't know, but it looks stupid to me when an opponent is cornered in front of an unbreakable wall & then the attacker does a Heat Dash! Why would you run when you are already next to him ??? I get it, video games. Same thing occurred to me on watching Dragon Dash in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Seems to me like Tekken is trying to appeal to Middle East. No wonder Shaheen made it back. I get that LowHigh won Evo with him but everyone agreed that he's a bland character. If you've seen the Tekken Netflix anime, you'll see that when everyone's watching the Iron Fist tournament around the world, there's sheikhs in Saudi watching too. When was this a plot point in Tekken 3? Ah well, if Julia can enter in her Tekken 7 costume & Leroy is a participant, who am I to complain ... One thing I did like about Tekken Triangle anime (every character has triangle shadows on them as if they were obstructed by obelisks) is that Jin's training montage has him becoming strong gradually that he finally broke Jinpachi's gifted statue (? or whatever). I once complained to you about the crouch cancel to sidestep. This can be done in the background but not foreground. I saw some Hitbox guides & reached the conclusion that it's doable, just not with the same benefits as that of into the background version. Well Tekken 3 has sidestep key bindings so I found that. The Main Man had a debate with Nova Seiken about Jin being top tier. He mentioned how Tekken is buggy but Tekken players came to accept it. (Yeah, way to defend Tekken coz you're madly in love with it). The collision detection issue bugs me to no end. This is where they should've followed Virtua Fighter. Anyways, the thing is, the devs know about it too & like Aris said, they don't care about it. How do I know? When Murray demonstrated the Ghost AI, it was Mishimastar playing against his own ghost. Mishimastar is an OG Tekken player who joined the dev team. Is that why Kazuya received tracking Hellsweeps for a week or so? OK I digressed. When demonstrating, he explained how Mishimastar picked up 2P becoz he's a Mishima. Like hell! You too are admitting both players have advantages & disadvantages depending on character's weaknesses which also includes 1P & 2P sides? Tekken 3 is graceful & timeless & I can forgive it for having it because most of the things are excellent. I would even go so far as to say that it's the best fighting game IMHO from the 90s, coz other companies have jank & balance issues but Tekken 3 has relatively few. Why didn't a legacy franchise go on about ironing the bugs & then deciding to add more? To end on a good note, I'm loving the training options. I would love to have frame data counter in previous Tekken games. That's my only reason as of now to dabble in Tekken 8. It would be amusing to see how they figure out the netcode. We all know that rollback netcode is different from Japanese rollback netcode.. Only time will tell. The first Tekken release without being arcade tested. 2023 would be great fun, coz I'm not a tournament competitor. PS:- What's with the definitive Tekken 7 being 120$? Even WB didn't go that far on the Physical Collector's Edition of Mortal Kombat 11!
