Many networks rely on mac filtering or in the enterprise setting IPSK. How do we locate the MAC address of a camera?
From the app, “Arm All Devices mode is now Arm Away. You can arm all of your devices and protect your home inside and out when you’re away.” What if I’m home and want all my devices armed? Do I have to pretend I’ve I’m away? Better yet, keep the option “Arm All Devices” and I can figure out if I’m home or not.
This app is horrible and I regret updating. All I want is all cameras on all the time except the back deck. It should be on at night and off during the day. Impossible to do. And tell me the difference between Arm Home and Stand By other than the are the opposite of each other. Finally, only programmers use the word Routine. Normal users use schedule. Hire a professional User Experience company and fix this clunky, awkward and frustrating app. I have never felt so stupid using an app before.
I like the doorbell but the only problem with this is that if you don’t have your phone with you, you won’t know if someone have pressed the doorbell. They should’ve included something that makes a sound and you can hear inside even if you don’t have your phonw with you

I spent 2 hours on the phone and was placed on hold 9 times AND was transferred to 3 different people trying to get the mounting bracket that was supposed to be In the box to begin with. Worst customer service experience ever!!!!
How about an option to disable notifications for all or specific cameras. Why is it only a 24 hr option …
Exactly! I saved some videos to be used in the future only to find out it was good for 24 hours only.
I don't know if anybody at Arlo is looking at these comments and I don't know how to get a place where we can get their attention but this app is a piece of trash. The logic or the lack of thereof is mind boggling. If it was all possible it is worse than the previous one. They added a lot of options very confusing and limiting the ones that would be useful i.e. Modes. I bet you that the engineers who developed this monster are really happy but I am sure they didn't check around what we, users, think about it. Amazing trash that's all that I can share. Even the poor customers service I contacted to understand how to set up this thing with my 15 cameras was so apologetic and himself couldn't believe how they would have realised something that was so far below the previous app.There is no logical flow within this GUI
If anyone has switched systems what did you go with? I am getting rid of my system. Spent over 10 hrs with support. Got one camera back up. Lasted 2 days and again none of them work. Ugh
Me 2... I just cancelled my subscription to Arlo and purchased Wyze V3 cams.... So much better ..I can rotate to look around also. You can actually call support with Wyze.

Update made everything far more complicated and less intuitive. The function of holding app icon to Arm All was very useful. .Now every menu option seems to send you in a pointless loop when trying to customise. Very poor design!
Charged batter for a super long time once i got it out of box. Scanned qr code successfully bit then 2 red lights turn on and it shuts down every time Super frustrating! PLEASE HELP for a fix..

Is it regionally restricted? I cannot see any Doorbell 2nd gen on the app, I do live in Argentina. If so, is there any way to make it work? Any update? Thanks
My experience with Arlo for the past several years can be summed up as "Your Arlo device appears offline." When it is, in fact, powered on and connected to WiFi, and other cameras right next to those with the error are connected. The battery life is also abysmal; I'm lucky if they make it 3-5 days, which means I can't rely on them when I'm on travel. The video quality and motion detection is actually very good, but like many other commenters, I have begun moving my home security to other camera systems which are overall more economical and more reliable. All systems have their flaws (and Blink is the worst), but for the subscription cost, the issues with the Arlo app have convinced me not to purchase any more of their cameras.

Get mine tomorrow. Been hearing too many bumps outside my window recently.
This is a total disappointment. I want the old app back! I was forced to move to this new app, I had no choice. I was actually adding a new camera and now I want to return them all. I lost functionality to schedule my camera’s individually. Turn them off and on as I chose. I don’t need three modes, this is why I have a hub and cameras not connected to the hub, just for that flexibility. Please give us back the old app. This new app is a big thumbs down for me Arlo. I have been a big supporter, I have family members who went to arlo at my recommendation but now I am embarrassed, I wont recommend this product to anyone, I cant. Fix this app Arlo!

Really bad they removed ability to add custom modes. Why three modes only? What kind of mind comes up with such an idea?
Let us go back to the old app. I bought a new camera and it made switch to this horrible new app. I don't want to sit on the phone with tech support.
I can’t even get the cameras to work half the time, and if they do work, they work all the time meaning they capture every movement and send a notification of my phone annoyingly. Every other time I can’t even get them below. It just goes to gray fuzzy screen. And my Internet isn’t bad Nora, my cameras very far from the Wi-Fi. I mean, I would think across the living room isn’t too far 😒

Bought ultra 2 (3 camera pack) I can’t connect to hub. Checking Wi-Fi I can see where the cameras are synced. Why can’t I sync to hub? (Same Wi-Fi as cell… even rebooted, still nothing.)
