Whipple Mega Cooler Install On 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands
Increase your ability to cool down your turbo compressed air with this Whipple Mega Intercooler for the new Ford Bronco.
In this video we go through the install of Whipple Mega Cooler as well as modifying the fittings from AFE if you are trying to use the AFE Hot and Cold Charge Pipes with your Whipple Mega Cooler.
Overall the install for this Mega Cooler is pretty straight forward. It comes with nice color instructions. There was only one place adjusting the front cruise control sensor that we got a little confused.
I don't have any horsepower dyno numbers for this Whipple Mega Cooler, but it feels better and I do like the look from the front.
Thanks for watching!

Custom Aluminum Bed Rails For 23 Ford Bronco Badlands - Clean Up That "Top Off" Look!

Wanted a cleaner look when the hard top was removed on our Bronco. This was a large project for my tiny machine shop, and ended up being mostly manual. • @BadToTheStone
      @BadToTheStone Před 3 měsíci

      @nikkibrewer3945 - I did not make any modification. When you lift up the bottom seat portion and stand it up it is on a loop sort of hinge. It will stand straight up and the back will fold down and wedge at an angle. But if when you stand it up you sort of pop it forward/over it comes ahead a little more and is more vertical. Then when you fold down the back it should be as flat as mine. Make sure your front seats are pulled ahead to give the extra room you need. Should be a standard feature to go this flat. Thanks for the comment. Hope this helps you.

    Can you explain the reason for the pedal commander a little bit? I’ve never heard of it before and I’m interested in it because the delay in the pedal on these Broncos is ridiculous.

    • @BadToTheStone
      @BadToTheStone Před 9 měsíci

      @ TheChuck1960 - The main reason is pretty much just what you said, eliminate or control that delay. Since cars no longer have a throttle cable, the manufacturer can map any control they want between the pedal and the actual throttle response. This can be great for things like sand mode on the Bronco where they change it to reduce tire spin in sand. For everyday driving it usually means a sluggish throttle response. The pedal commander lets you dial in a throttle response that you want. No change to the power of your vehicle. It just unlocks how you access and tap into that power through your gas pedal. Hope that helps. It is a pretty nice mod for daily driving. Thanks for the question.

    I don't understand the amber/white module swap. Functionally what is different when operating the vehicle, compared to not including the amber/white module? (Note: my Bronco currently has the stock base halogen taillights.) Maybe without the added module, the turn signal would simply be pulsing of the red taillight section?

    • @BadToTheStone
      @BadToTheStone Před 9 měsíci

      @bigworldparty1619 - you pretty much nailed it. If you buy the regular Oracle flush lights with just the white module then your turn signals pulse the red brake light instead of Amber like the factory lights. Upgrading to their Amber/White module gives you the brighter white reverse lights and makes your turn signal a factory like Amber. So just makes the flush lights more like the factory ones. Thanks for the question.

      @mpeugeot - We did get the Sasquatch on the Badlands and after doing the Bronco Off Roadeo this last weekend I and glad we did the sas. The extra few inches was noticeable on the trail. Drove a non sas at the off Roadeo and definitely hit t more often than the others with sas. Still fully capable but we like the little extra lift. Appreciate the comment.

      @@BadToTheStone yes, but it has less articulation than the non-sasquatch Badlands, plus most people are going to replace the wheels and tires, when you factor in the fact that you are essentially paying $5000 for wheels, tires, and a 1/2" lift - it lacks value UNLESS you love the factory wheels and tires. Also, no, I am not forgetting the 4.7 gears, but that's only a 5% difference in gearing, it's less than 100 rpm pretty much under any circumstances. It's not a criticism of your purchase, because Ford makes it hard to understand what the real difference is... Nothing wrong with the Badlands and Sasquatch package, I'm sure that you are loving it.

      @@mpeugeot Gotcha! Guess I did miss the fine print on that one. I did not realize the non sas Badlands was so similar with the suspension already upgraded on the BL that makes sense. Oh well, still very happy with the build and yes loving it. Thanks for the comment to help others. That is the goal here is provide value.

    I wouldn't get a 2024 over a 2023, no chance in hell. I don't believe that the steering rack will be upgraded for the sasquatch package for starters. 2 door OBX 2.7 advanced 4x4 with the High package was the best option for 90% of people and more than 90% of off-roading. I removed the back seats in my 2 door. The lack of cloth interior in 2024 really sucks.

    I hate the auto start/stop. I always think something went wrong with the vehicle. I disabled my wife's F150 through the tuner. I definitely don't miss it

      @Highvolt71 - Could not agree more. Was happy to find a solution I like to override this and make it like it is not even there unless I decide one day I want it again. Glad you found a solution for your F-150 that worked for you. Thanks for the comment.

    So buying a gadget and all that work is better than just quickly turning off auto start manually? 🙄

    • @BadToTheStone

      @TheCobraKommander - For me it was worth it. The number of times I forget to turn it off until the first stop etc. I think it will save my starter and battery over time. And it took 25 minutes. Thanks for the comment.

    Enjoy your 23'. People are crazy and these aren't any value for $, but neither is a new Jeep Rubicon! How many of you have gotten off-road enough to ACTUALLY use your winches? 10% is my high end guess! Steering rack's are like arguing over wheel center cap's! You'll be better off spending that $ on tires and real locker control.

    • @BadToTheStone
      @BadToTheStone Před 10 měsíci

      @TtheK - we are enjoying it for sure. Agree about the winches and we don’t have one of those in our build plans. We have already had some off road fun at Barnwell Mountain Rec Area and more off road trips planned. Had a chance to try out the front and rear lockers and the stabilizer disconnect. Super capable so far. No plans to change out tires and wheels yet but who knows. As for the steering rack - no issues so far so not anything I will look into anytime soon. Thanks for the comment.

    Ya'll have fun and remember. This will be the majority of comment's "you can do 120% of a bronco with XYZ.....bc I said so!" Looks like a more reliable FJ40 to me. Damn they really messed up making that thing locked awd. Have fun and remember, "everything you take off the oem body is money OFF the resale!". So keep that oem stuff, especially the wheel's!

      @TtheK - We are hanging on to the old parts for sure. Some trims have different 4x4 capabilities? Ours is definitely not locked AWD? Full ability to do 2H only. We are having fun with it so far. Thanks for the comment.
