    Same exact issue with mine. Sent 3 mags back to sig with a description of my issue and all they did was send me 3 new mags with the exact same issue. Sig is garbage now.

      I spent a small fortune on hollow points to run through the gun (100 rounds). Using Federal HST and Sig V-Crown I experienced numerous failure to feed malfunctions with the gun. I ended up selling it to an individual who claimed he could fix the mags.

    I think sig tried to keep the grip as small as possible and didn’t allow for longer of wider tip rounds. To me you just need to figure out what works best and use that. You can’t beat the feel of the grip on the xten

    I had the same issue. I took it back to the store to see if there was a fix. One of the employees is a competitive shooter. He figured out the issue is with the Sig ammo. Hornady works just fine. I don't know why Sig did not recall the brass cartridges and they have a Notice on them that says they are fine. They are not fine. Try other ammo.

    Thanks for making the video since I just purchased one a few days ago. Haven't shot it yet but was going to the range with different ammo to test out. One thing I have noticed is the 15 round mag load issue. I will be good running 14 instead of fighting trying to get that 15th round in the clip. If 14+1 rounds of 10mm whatever can't stop something then oh well. Watched several videos and read up on the SIG XTEN but no one mentioned the issue you and a few others in the comments section ran into. Makes me want to stick to my GLOCK20 in the outdoors and use the SIG for the range or get rid of it. I will make a decision after I put a few hundred rounds through it. Haven't had an issue with my GLOCK (runs like a champ) but like the weight and feel of the SIG better and is the reason I purchased it.

  • @jakecrib9971
    @jakecrib9971 Před 10 měsíci

    This is B.S., unacceptable. Sig needs to step up and adress this issue immediately. A failure to feed could cost your life in a self defense situation. I feel Sig would be held responsible for that death in a court of law due to defective manufacturing of their mags and being made fully aware of it by now.

    I have this and wish I saw all this before picking it up. I picked mine up just a month ago and you’d think these issues would have been resolved by now. I’ve been able to shoot both target and hollow points and don’t think I have the feed issue. but my main issue currently is just not being able to have 15 rounds in the mag and be able to seat it with out the slide being open

    I rented an X-Ten a week ago at my local Range USA and experienced this exact issue with it. The follower would get caught around the 10th round and the 15th round would be loose and would fall out of the mag if inverted. The gun shot full 15 round mags fine with S&B FMJ ammo. The 1st round of a 15 round mag of S&B JHP would fail to feed; subsequent rounds fed & shot fine.

    I just bought mine this week, it’s actually the first Sig Ive ever purchased and you are absolutely correct in your video. My bullets fall out of the magazines as well. The mags periodically catch on something inside the pistol, not allowing me to seat it fully, probably the mag release lever. Which is a No-Go. Depending on the bullet it will have failure to feed issues. Sig knows better. I hope they are working with Metgar on developing a fix to all these issues. Thanks for posting.

    I've had this problem in other mags that is a double stack that narrows at the top. First take the mag apart and clean out the inside then check the follower and clean up and polish any part of it that touches the mag. then get you some graphite spray and apply it to the follower and inside the mag. What I found is when the ammo is loaded when the spring starts getting tension on it it pushes the first round over to the side and it rides against the side of the mag and causes a wedge effect jamming the mag hence the loose round effect. usually once the mags get broken in there is no problem. I know I'm late to this party but I thought this might help you and I'm getting ready to do this to mine as I'm going out in the morning to pick up my new P320X10. Hope this helps!

    What does SIG have to say about these issues? I just purchased this model over the Glock 20 because of the extra features and it fit very nice and the reviews were great I just happen to find these videos having the same mag issues but not one of them mentioned contacting SIG I did read one comment saying that SIG mailed out replacement mags and one person returned the weapon not wanting to deal with it! What’s up SIG?

  • @outflyin8766

    I just got my XTEN today and have not fired it yet. I have loaded and unloaded both mags with different brands of FMJ ammo and JHP ammo including SIG and have not been able to reproduce this problem. I did not use an Uplula. I loaded them the old fashioned way and it was not difficult. The full mag takes a solid hit with the palm to insert it all the way, but that is no problem either. The slide release works easily and feeds the first round from a full mag every time so far. Hopefully I will get to the range tomorrow and be as fortunate as the OP was with no failures. I went back and played the video again and caught that he said that he shot 200 rounds with no hiccups. I was considering not buying the gun before I heard that, but after hearing that I pulled the trigger. This is my second SIG and the first one has been flawless. The quality is excellent on these guns. My take on this is that It's like when you tell the doctor it hurts when I do this and he says yeah don't do that. Cheers.

    You are not an idiot! Sig pistol, Sig mags and sig ammo together fail? Shame on Sig! I had a totally different problem with mine, but as far as carry ammo goes, I'm loading my own, .005 deeper to 1.250 with XTP's, and it's only had 2 fails to feed out of about 500 rounds. I have continued to use white lithium lube and probably will till I get to 1000 rd count. Update: June 9, 2023. Several hundred more rounds and the mags are loading easier and no more malfunctions. Again, I make my own carry ammo because factory is too expensive and typically watered down loads.

    I'm more and more deciding the Sig is not a trustworthy manufacturer because of untrustworthy customer service. I've looked at many videos about Sig guns. Many of them seem to suggest that the guns should be fine. On the other hand, most don't show something going wrong the way you've shown. The bigger problem is that Sig's customer service seems worthless.
