I have zero financial interest in any of this...it is all his work, his products you bring back memories with the timing light and the dwell meter...I had those years gone by...along with analog multimeter which very few people had or knew how to use in the late 60's early 70's we've all come a long way:)

HS502 has ±16v input thus finer resolution than the HS512 ±32v input from a practical perspective, both are very low noise oscilloscopes and if your work includes 24v vehicles then the HS512 would win out

@@arthurfricchione8119 HScope is ANDROID only and can be found on Google Play Store ... free version has limitations and meant to confirm app is compatible with android device some people have had success with Android emulators on their laptops...I'm not a big fan of that HScope is best used on an Android tablet or phone hold off a bit...Martin is developing HS512 MAX oscilloscope ... should get stocked on his store fairly soon ...

there were a lot of requests to purchase these ready made but this is a DIY channel I do recommend having a HS402 WiFi oscilloscope build (the one you're interested in) under your belt before tackling this one and the ACS712 current modules this is based on needs a few minutes "warm up time" to eliminate slight drift varies from modules, mine takes about 5 minutes

I once logged in, which was many months ago. Since then I have been unable to get it. My internet speed is very slow, but my brother's is not. Both of us get the same issue. I think I will try it again and again some other time. By the way, I think you very much as I have learnt something from your videos.

I've never scoped that type of crankshaft sensor but from Darren's video I can tell the pulses are 1ms apart and that HS502 is capable of measuring that the $4000 PICO would have more time on screen of course but bottom line is HScope + HS502 (HS512) could do it

COP all vary...some better results holding on top...others better if holding on side solid copper based probes (like this one is) give best results, IMO

I have not played with CAN FD I understand it can be up to 8x faster so would require fast scope with deep memory. All currently HScope supported budget oscilloscopes would surely be taxed to the limit, and likely beyond

I do not know of 1 for Linux there is a free one on Windows Store and PICO has one and of course, HScope has one

I'd say the instrumentation is capable...up to 3500 RPM balancing speed with analog IR sensor (being rigid rotors, should remain balanced at operating speed) then it becomes a matter of the stands and the distance between the stands and the distance between the correction planes and their distance to the stands as to how easy or difficult it gets in practice if you're thinking of automotive turbos, they're short which makes it tricky...haven't tried one DIY...but there's a strong likelihood of demonstrating this on the channel at some point in future

I understand building these things isn't for everyone... PICO is a lot more money, like 30x or more! HS5xx series scopes are already built and affordable yes, they are "only" 2 channels but perform very well
