Vicki and Betty best players ever
Did anyone else notice how the celebrities didn't walk out together like normal? And after the first segment they didn't walk to the winner's circle? I guess Bill Cullen was unable to walk on his own at that point?
Cullen had polio, so his game shows throughout his career (as host and guest) had to be carefully staged to hide it.
They’d always revise the staging of these shows when Bill Cullen was a guest (or a host) so he would only have to walk a few steps at a time on camera. You may know this, but he had polio as a child and was left with a severe limp, which he didn’t want to be shown on camera. When Bill hosted The Price is Right, that format didn’t feature much moving around for the host. And he wasn’t considered for the revival in the 70s because it was thought to be too physically taxing. When Bill hosted the 70s 25K Pyramid, you’d never see him walking to the winner’s circle, like Dick did. And when Bill appeared on Password Plus, the show would start with him in the guest seat or the host podium, not walking down the stairs with the host or the other guests.
🤷♀️ Did I miss what the Mystery Seven all had in common ?
THE PASSWORD PYRAMID NEW EPISODES MONDAY TO FRIDAY 5:00PM ON EVN TOON
The chicken pox clue seemed questionable to me. They don't have bumps, they are the bumps.
PATROL's tough
I miss game shows like this.
They rebooted it 🎉 Michael Strahan is hosting it now.
My mother Show ❤
Best. Episode. EVER!
Lois Nettleton was one of my favorite celebrity contestants on Pyramid. Always so nice and sweet!
How in the world did she get partner with no clues ?
Bill Cullen always seems to describe the subjects and get buzzed. He should know better having hosted this show.
Lois Nettleton was so much better than Bill Cullen in the WC.
Those two celebrities were guests on the series finale of The $20,000 Pyramid aird on ABC aired June 27, 1980. The finale was the original series after 7 years started as The $10,000 Pyramid on CBS, moved to ABC in 1974, and jumped to $20,000 in early 1976.
Dick Clark used to say this all the time if the Players scored the most points and then go to the Winner Circle and try for the big Money including the $10,000. Here is your First Subject..Go
How do they the color from blue to red
R.I.P Bill Dick and Lois
I grew up with this game show
Been watching since I was three! My intro to *"Pyramid"* was through reruns on the USA Cable Network in the early '90s. I've loved it ever since!
This is some of the best play I'v e ever seen on this show.
The fact this was taped from the USA Network's glory days makes me feel like I'm four years old again! All I need now is a *HUGE* bowl of "'skettios" with meatballs and a Cherry Kool-Aid Burst! ☺️😌🙋🏾📺🔺️
I loved when the USA Network had the game show block
@chadbaughman401 Reminds me of happier times!
@@jmiller297Yep and this is one of my top 5 game shows from the USA Network game show block
Dumb guy in binus round
Boobs for the win
pointless blabbing is not how to get the answer, only confused
worst players ever-- duh
all play very well here
13:05 great clues Ms. Lawrence.
8:38 EXACT TIE! 8:44
Dick Cavett looks like and sounds like Bush Senior!!!
For "things that are fired," I'm thinking: *"George Steinbrenner's Yankee managers."*
An incompetent secretary is FIRED. Bill can go into such tangents. Employees aren't fired...an incompetent employee is fired...GET SPECIFIC BILL
Good game
Paul Feig, another celebrity before he was a celebrity on Pyramid
One of my absolute favorite theme songs

using "guppy" as a clue for things that swim after the mini-fiasco in the second round. LOL
$100,000 WAS a lot of $ in 1986. Today, that MIGHT buy you a decent pickup truck & a scooter 🤦♀️
The new pyramid show is still only doing 100 grand. Cheap a holes
@danceswithcomicbooks7733 I keep saying it's been $100,000 since the introduction of the New Coke! How's about *"The $1,000,000 Pyramid??"* Hell, at *least "The $500,000 Pyramid!"*
Lois and Bill were excellent players, very clever. The male contestant was smart but arrogant and irritating.
R.I.P Bill and Dick
How do the change the color from blue to red
Never understood why Dick Clark was tethered with a wired lavalier mic when Richard Dawson wore a wireless one 10 years earlier on Family Feud. Seemed silly when I caught glimpses of Dick dragging the cable behind him.
Notice the unusual intro of the special guests already seated with the contestants. This was likely due to Bill Cullen's inability to walk smoothly. God love him.
Same reason why if Cullen has to go to the winners circle. They cut away or commercial then hes already there.
They always accommodated Bill Cullen on any show he was on. His inability to walk smoothly was from polio IIRC.
Yea, not only was he such an in demand emcee, but a game player that producers were willing to work around his mobility problems.
I've never understood why people like this show, it's basically Password but instead of being limited to 1 word you're put on a time limit.
Why are you here then?
@@fraiser3330 cause I wanted to give my opinion
These questions are too difficult to answer
Dick Clark is too slow
