Your comment on the perception of FAE is absolutely true. I was victim to this as well when working my way through college. When I began working at Tourneau and I let the appearance of buyers affect my effort. It all changed when i sold to a guy in ripped up jeans and a t shirt. He bought a royal oak ap with a black amex card. I was stunned and asked what he did for a living. He was the guy that started borders bookstores. At the time, borders was a successful business. Lesson learned.

Ive worked in sales for several companies. I was doing ok but once I figured out my nack, I was moved to the "elite floor" and never left. I stopped selling the product and sold myself instead. Of course I went on and on about the product and how useful it was and how especially useful it was for them specifically, but all that was running in the back ground as my primary objective was make them to like *_me._* To make them trust me, to be open, honest and funny. It almost trippled my sales, almost over night. If you can get them to like *_you_* its possible to sell them almost anything. Never thought about in the "scale" terms examplified here, but it fits perfectly with what I was doing 🤣

I don't think it is because it is an entity but because the logic of the capitalistic system! A benevolent government ( not a corrupt one) cares about the public good thus about their citicens and their wellbeing and it is as well an entity but its goal is not to make short term profits it has a different logic!
I have a hard time seeing this scenario. I see it less as a know it all these days and more a know something taking to a know nothing.
Don’t know about sales but my mother says this a lot so it must work well, But when it comes to anonymous people on the internet, it’s best to just not engage in arguments with them in general. I prefer my arguments more civil and face to face, some of people here despite asking questions, and making them contradict themselves, will never admit that they’re wrong. It’s something that some people haven’t quite learnt the hard way yet in person.
It’s difficult to be honest and transparent on the internet, especially growing up with technology as I have and the anonymity. But I feel it’s that much more powerful if you’re honest when you know no one is looking.
