First time I ever played Scout in MvM, I accidentally went Damage Scout because that's what I thought you were supposed to do. Younger me was so... dumb. XD

give the tank a stab spot (probably on the back of the tank, where the bots are) that no other class can utilize. if the spy saps the tank, THEN they can hit it specifically to do MINICRITS for the duration of the sapper, based off it's strength. finally, the spy gets CRITS when he does MINICRITS with all knives. not a lot of thought, but it sounds like it could be a start.

Saboteurs satchel. Instead of backstab, plant explosive charges that will detonate in x seconds. Aggro deferred until detonation.

As an Engi main i dont use the jag as much as you'd expect the +20% swing speed is rather redundant when you just.... upgrade swing speed once you max it out the extra swing speed added by the jag doesn't add anything at that point. Stock is the go-to after the early waves (honestly in my opinion the southern hospitality is better than the jag once you start investing in swing speed)

An alt build for the beggars is going blast res instead of clip size so you maintain access to easy overload jumping so you can roam the map super effectively. If you have a good demo doing good kritz, you don't need the clip size vs giants as much. Being able to quickly jump and handle threats when your team is overwhelmed is extremely valuable. The money spent in resistances also gives your medic some breathing room and lets you take those more aggressive positions to help the team.

Comparing Gas Passer to BigRock's "God-Rock" isn't very fair, and is kinda disingenuine. One is a gameplay mechanic, that has no good way of designing around it, that makes a Class stronger in huge ways, for little cost. The other one, is a unintended gameplay exploit, which most if not ALL community maps/missions fix. Not to mention, that Sniper being one of the highest classes for Robot Aggro, means that he gets shot at the most, and depending on the map, that can spell doom easily.

That thing with the 20- tours thing is the stupidest thing ever. Not only did he not state his reasoning until after he was done griefing, but he could've helped the guy progress to becoming not 20- tours. By griefing that guy, that slows his progress to getting more tours under his belt.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. If I have to pay to play a game mode where the goal is to complete the mission, I'm gonna complete the frickin' mission with the tools I have. If it happens to be one of the most efficient tools in the game, like hell am I gonna use anything else. Why would I intentionally make it more difficult for myself and everyone else? Because their ego took a hit? Because they want to do the exact same thing they've been doing for the last 100+ times they've done that exact mission? That would be like if the speedrunning community got angry at someone who took the world record by using a huge, well-known shortcut, but everyone got mad that they used it and even went so far as to not count their run.

The rules of balance are simple: the community decides which classes are "high skill" and which are "low skill", and demands that "high skill" classes be buffed while "low skill" classes are nerfed. Pyro, a "low skill" class, cannot be good. That is bad balance. Good balance is when Medic spawns with 69% uber. This is basic biology. Bad balance is when Heavy kills me, good balance is when Scout kills me. Sniper is balanced because I spent 300 hours learning how to click.

A skill requirement is a completely fair distinction to make in my opinion. Items that are effectively a win button don't make for interesting experiences. Even with an invincible Sniper I can at least respect the ability to aim, but you pressed mouse1 to delete everything is simply a lame and bleak outlook on the game It's so broken that it's nearly impossible to create challenging MvM missions around it. You can make any wave be anti any class, but the Gas Passer is almost always a press button to win item
