This is part two of TENNIS RACKET RESTRINGING-EASY BEGINNERS GUIDE. It focusses on a technique I use when stringing the crosses. I find this method eradicates some of the annoyances that can occur when stringing the crosses-mainly the difficulties that can occur when weaving. zhlédnutí 9KPřed 7 lety
After releasing a video on how to use the V-Drums as a MIDI trigger (czcams.com/video/yI9PkSXM3PU/video.html), I have had a few requests from people asking me how they can record the sounds straight from their V-Drum's library. In this next tutorial, I show you the easiest method to do this.

It doesn’t look like every track turns down. It looks like only the tracks with volume automation turn down. Am I seeing it wrong?
You’re heaven sent! ❤🎉
Thank you! Love this - appreciate a 2 minute video showing you how to do a 2 minute, no messing around and turning this into a 10 minute video for the sake of it
This didn’t help at all. I need a tutorial for Logic Pro for an IPad. Can anyone please help?
Thanks man
Wicked.
Thanks a lot for this cool tutorial !
your intro was straight from heaven, man. Thank you so much for this. I had three vocal tracks with serious automation and hours of work and I wanted to lower it all together...without you, wouldn't know how to do it. Thanks so much.
I tried the simple method you showed first and no matter what I do, sound is not coming through. I am using a TD--11 Roland
Thanks for the video! Can you save it to where you don’t have to do this every time you plug your midi cable from the Edrums into Logic Pro? Or do you have to do this process every time?
Thanks mate - the setting for V-Drums solved a frustrating issue with my hi-hat sound.
Does anyone know if the TD11 will work like this? I can’t get mine to be recognised by Logic…midi keyboard works fyi
THANK YOU I LOVE YOU
hero! I couldn't believe playing VDrums in MacOS was so hard!! Thank you so much!
Thank you!!
I've noticed in the newer versions of Logic Pro, if any of your automation is all the way down within the track, you cannot lower with trim anymore. I'd bet that would affect this technique as well, because any of the tracks that had automation with any parts all the way down wouldn't be reduced at all? Also notice that when you lower the trim, it is only affecting the tracks with automation and not those without, like your "strumming" track, it remains as is so that would mess up the overall mix.
the tracks that don't have any automation don't go down though
thanks much!
This was a huge help!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
woah, how did you get your Focusrite to connect via thunderbolt?
I'm not positive but I believe if you are pulling down the volume on your aux channel strip you will be changing your wet to dry ratio with reverbs and delays etc as those fx auxiliaries are still receiving the level from the individual tracks.
MY TRACKS DONT SHOW IT
Thank you ~⚔⚔⚔
What’s the best but affordable ekit to use for Logic Pro x
THIS IS AMAZING!!!! But on my Logic is not working, even if I select all the tracks it just change one
Love peace and bliss divine being, amazing break down... Thank you
Thanks dude 👊🔥 very useful information
Ffs mate you have no idea how much you helped me - this is exactly what I was looking for my personal workflow. I’m from Germany and all tutorials I watched so far over here were not covering this. Lots of love man
How can I use e drums to control 3rd party software? Like battery, etc…?
This is so helpful- thank you! A couple of tips for anyone possibly having the same trouble I was: if you have ANY of the automations hitting the floor, you have to raise them to a high enough level to accommodate the amount of db being lowered, then you can go back and bring those mute points back to the floor- if that makes sense. Also, the level adjustments do not apply to any tracks without automation on them, but that can be solved by simply moving an actual fader on any of those and, if all tracks are still selected, it will move those tracks as well. Cheers.
I just saw this but made similar points. Even in his vid, the tracks without automation didn't move.
WHAT I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW, IS HOW TO USE THE LIBRARY OF MY ROLAND BRAIN, FOR CREATING A TRACK WITH THOSE SOUNDS. PLEASE. HELP. I NEED HELP.
Sound, lad. Straight to point. 👍
Thanks a bunch brother!
Any tips for a really old set of vdrums? I have the td 4 unit and it doesn't have a usb out port, only midi. I have a midi to usb c cable but it is not plug and play lol
Thank you!!!
How you make that button show ? My tracks don’t show it
Having trouble with logic reading that my roland midi drumset is plugged in. It is midi cable to usb. Any ideas?
BRILLIANT VIDEO!. THANKS SO MUCH.
How do I get the SPLASH + Ride Cymbal + Bell FROM "Ride Cymbal"? How do I get the 3 hihat sounds: closed/open/edge splash? How do I get the other cymbals edge + top ride? Even with the PRODUCER KIT: "SoCal+". these additional sounds aren't coming through despite selecting V-Drums for internal mapping. Hi-hat = OPEN only.
THANK YOU
What if there's no overheads track? Is there a way to add one into a pre-built drummer track?
This video was a lifesaver for me! Watched a bunch of other drum videos that were too complex, as I just wanted to be able to record basic electronic drums to pre-pro my music. Thank you so much <3
the sound of "LOW TOM" and "MID TOM" are the same in VDRUM Input Mapping.... How to fix it?
So helpful - thanks so much!
Just ordered my Roland TD-07DMK's and I was worried about this part of the process making my life difficult and it looks like it's pretty much plug and play. I love Logic so much. 😂 ... thanks for the video.. definitely calmed my anxiety on this one. No more fiddling with the Drummer program, auditioning fills, beats etc, then tweaking for hours on end in the midi trying to humanize and get fills exactly what I want. Now I get to just play the damn stuff and leave it like a real drummer would play.
Absolute legend 🔥
My TD-11 is never recognized by the computers I've tested, neither Mac or Windows.
Great job! Finally got this working right thanks to this vid. Only thing that I had to change was to put the region back to its original track above and carry out those steps to bounce in place. Otherwise the option box had replace track option greyed out and wouldnt work. Thanks again! Edit: Just to add I was using SD3 for the drums so maybe that caused the difference? Cheers
This is a great video, thank you so much. But I still have one problem. I don't hear the sound of my snaredrum when I am in Logic Pro. I do hear the sound on the edge of the snare but that is all. I also do hear the rest of the drum kit. When I connect my kit to a speaker I do hear the snaredrum so that means that the snare itself is ok. Can you tell me what this problem could be??
Thanks, my levels were blinging out, until I watched your video, thanks heaps!
