How to prove the flat-earthers are wrong... Place a 1 foot long stick in the ground so that it is plum. On a sunny day mid day (say 11 am), place a rock at the end of the shadow. Wait one hour and place a rock at the end of the shadow then. That's east and west. Wait 3 months and do this again using the same stick in the same place as before. The shadow has moved, but still the ends point east and west. How is that possible if the sun never sets and the earth is flat?

Important note to make here. No flat-earth model has been able to explain all natural phenomena SIMULTANEOUSLY. They have several different and independent models to explain them, but they can't come up with one that explains all of them at the same time, unlike the globe which can.

Honest question here, but in the 3 ships example, the furthest away looks like its traveling at approx 45 degrees in relation to the viewer. My question is, why is the boat still parallel to the horizon from stern to bow? Shouldn't we expect to see the boat coming in at an incline that is tangential to the curvature of the earth for its position? You know as if it was coming uphill from our viewpoint?

Most flat earthers aren't stupid, they're just very skeptical and think outside the box. We all know there are plenty of very dumb people, who believe the earth is round; just because they're correct that doesn't make them smart. So by percentages there are flat earthers who are smarter than round earthers, they're just incorrect in their world view...literally. I've debated plenty of flat earthers, even in person and enjoyed good respectful discussion. I think we should treat this as a scientific theory of there's, that just happens to be incorrect; instead of only ridiculing them. Good stuff but I'm missing something. 4:55 the sun is 21.2 times further away than the moon. It's a whole lot more than that. Later i think you mentioned the actual angle makes it 382 times further. That's a pretty massive difference. Is it just due to inaccurate measurements of the angles?

If you're standing on the lowest point of the shore and waves are coming in and bouncing off the shore back into the ocean the water will rise but only at the shore creating this illusion :) look up cockpit timelapses ;)
