Rebuilding the Worlds Biggest (FV4005)
In this Video we fit the 183mm main gun and the rear ground spade.
Some great progress has been made but there is still a long way to go before we are ready for Tank fest.
This Project wouldn’t have been possible without
@WorldOfTanksOfficialChannel & @thetankmuseum
And not to mention each and everyone who personally donated money to this build!

Getting this Czechoslovakian T-72 Tank to run again has definitely taken a lot of time and effort. I hope all the hard work is going to be worth it. In this episode we repair the broken electrical engine oil pressure priming pump on a T-72 fitting it however was a different story.. This video just highlights how such a cheap and small part can cause the whole vehicle to fail. Fingers crossed the electrical starter motor isn't broken either !

HOW TO FIX A T-72
zhlédnutí 188KPřed měsícem
Me and the team have a go at removing the broken starter motor and Engine oil priming pump form this T-72 Tank for repair. Words can't describe just how much time and effort it took to remove these broken parts, this is not a vehicle that could be fixed quickly in the heat of battle not something I enjoyed working on. However I hope you enjoy the video and learn that designing something so comp...

& this is what the REME used to be like in the 40's & 50's mad blokes, a big hammer & a dog who cold platt fog with boxing gloves on blindfolded while riding a unicycle 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Excellent work chaps. How heavy is that gun?
what is under the blue tarp?
I hope you’re not using crappy Chinese steel plate for the repairs
Since that massive gun is still functional, if you can find a shell and projectile and able to fire the gun, that would be amazing
I remember in the army this was the tank we had to familiarize ourselves with, during the M60A1 years, we thought this tank was the baddest tank ever
can i get this for free, no? okay...
Just how thick is that steel on the turret sides?? Doesn’t look like it would deflect much.
Approximately 14mm in any direction. So that wouldn't even stop a .50 cal machine gun. However, NATO tank doctrine was more along the lines of stay out of sight of enemy tanks and fire on them. So this thing was meant for long distance killing, but yes the turret isn't gonna protect against much
or how to destroy the battery 🤦
Any further progress?
4:45 that's some very very bad welding, doing verticle down,. no pre heat
20:12 Hello 🙃
oh mon dieu c'est si gros......!!!!!.😂😂👍👍👍👍👍
Proof, if it were needed, of reincarnation. Early twentieth men reappearing in twenty first century bodies.
Love Adam Bests face wearing your branded “Hoddie” 🤣
Хорошая работа. С уважением. Из России.
Yes, I do agree my friend, nothing is impossible, I have been in some bleak situations, looked utterly lost, came back in a few days, after having given much thought, and it all came together, and once again, resurrected a totally hopeless situation, we never know what we are capable of until called upon to do, what seems to most, to be impossible
I am currently writing a non tech inspection for a T34/85. I cant find any reference to the gearbox, I have found that it takes 10 litres of oil, but where is the filler plug and drain plug???
Here's a hint for next time. When using a winch near its limits, place your towel over the taught cable. You always need to bring a towel. There are many uses for a towel. Just ask Douglas Adams.
May have been a year ago but glad your dad is okay. I love Jack - swearing and opening the door while you are skidding to a halt. He is a brilliant friend!!!
One moment she was in a total mess the next she now looking as good as new I hope you and your team will be the award for restoration of FV4005.
Seb did a thing. Amazing video guys, really well done. Pats on the back all round 🎉❤
😛😛😛😛😛😛❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This tank looks like me in the morning, Erect 😏
13:45 - That's the offical way to move podium steps according the HSE. I can personally confirm this also works on scaffold towers. Furthermore, the Still needs a sign stating "I identify as a D5." Looking good guys keep it up.
Awesome job. The welds, the paint, the attention to detail.....well done lads 👏
At least you didn’t use it as a chisel!!! This time anyway. Love the new audio btw👍👍👍
❤🎉
I see Joe is practicing for when he gets his zimmer frame in later years when guiding the gun mantlet?? Over the barrel. 😅
Inspiring work ,looks amazing.
12:30 my mum says you are like the A-Team.
Did i miss the T34 engine being built back up or is it on a back burner??
New version of bumping uglies…
Matt Foden must be very proud of his siblings, Yellow Foden and the two Fork Lift Fodens. Matt Foden does sound good when he's lifting and lowering. Well done Ted, Lads, and Lassies, good job all round!
looks awesome, well done
Soviets always carried a BFH to help with gear changes

here in brazil we call this a "caçambeiro"
I do have the sneaky suspicion that the guys who invented and build these machines work with a priority list and battle in mind. You wouldn't pull wrenches when under fire, so there is no point to making all repairs simple. If you have problems with a tank in the field, they allow you to only fix the most important stuff somewhat easily. The rest is designed to be worked on after you strip the entire engine and transmission module out. Agriculture does it too in some ways. Changing a filter is easy, anything more serious and you might as well strip the machine down and repair everything at the same time, while the guts are on the floor. Things are water "cooled" to either help with the fact that it's all cramped up in there or to preheat in cold weather.
0:57 that is a VERY brave place to stand 🙈
Tooo bad for environment.Amendment: For German environment😂
Brilliant work as usual.
I know what destroyers are becoming obsolete now in the RN lets stick the cannon of one on this new centurion hull...
Now you’re talking!! Plenty of ammo for those too!
20l Fuel Tank empty ?
More tanks than the army have 😂
Proof that Freddie is King of the World! 🤘
This is going to sound silly and I’m sure there’s a reason you haven’t but……oil the track hingey bits?
That must be a fuc^!Ing rush
Stoked to see the boom stick fitted, the FV4005 is looking wicked. Needs the 50 cal for sure, one pic is enough, it was on there once and recorded. You've gotta put an I identify as a Foden sticker on it somewhere. Great job done by all of you, and well supervised Ted.
