Not the best review I've seen. But nonetheless the overall consensus was positive. I've got one in Gunmetal Grey with a rosewood fretboard. I'm a meticulous modder, that generally finds fault in at least a few components on almost any guitar. This NF3 has really impressed me. And other than straplocks and a treble bleed curcuit. The only other change I've made when I put knew strings on. Was to swap positions of the middle and neck pickups on the pickgaurd. This gives me bridge and neck in position 2, and makes position 5 middle only, which I never use. Now it's way more versatile, and sounds the same all the way down the volume range. If I back the tone down to 7-8, it reacts the same as not having the treble bleed. Anyone who hates on this model, needs to do some research before dismissing it. Excellent value on a model that's unique enough, without being totally strange. Oh, and the new PRS hardcase it's nestled in, is sweet also! Peace!

Is the neck chunkier then the silver sky se or slimmer???

Sounds thin and twangy. I have the same one on order but in Charcoal Burst. Going to have to find some chunkier pickups than the 85/15 TCIs. Maybe some first gen HFS and Vintage bass. Beautiful guitars though.

At 700 they should have a bone nut and a proper string tree. If they can put a bone nut on a squier classic vibe then the player series at twice the price should have one to.

TBH, I think they sound very similar, the slightly brighter tones of the Tremonti neck is most likely due to the lack of the metal covers. Mind ye, I am NOT a PRS expert (FAR from it)! They're all within spitting range of each other, but the T pups sounds brighter by a tiny bit. And I DO know the metal covers tend to attenuate the highs a bit.

Even if the video was a bit summery, it was this one that definitely convinced me to buy this Morley model. The Cry Baby Wylde signature pales in comparison. I've never been able to exploit it with the huge sound you offer. Thank you so much! Greetings from France !

Got the Raspberry Burst version of this, a GC exclusive, and freaking love it. No issues with tuning stability at all. Plays like a dream, and sounds fantastic - even unplugged.

Some folks noted pickguard gets worn quickly, if that's an issue. Please bring on the SE version.

Great video! These are down to £699 at the moment across most retailers. I got one from Peach Guitars as they show all the specific models for each colour, as the grain looks quite different. So was able to pick my favourite Iri Blue finish!

I disagree. I do think you can get very convincing Strat tones from these.

This or the Oly White American pro ii instead? My plan is go AM pro ii in White and just swap the Pro ii's tortoise pickguard to a mint green one to look like the Avii 61. What do ye think? Want it to look like this but have the nicer neck of the Am Pro ii and its better case/nicer neck/more pickup combinations etc.

Great review on this guitar. Bought a Player Plus Nashville about 6 months ago and it played great straight out of the box, everything had been set up well. You mentioned about the yellowing on the fret board, I didn't have that problem so they must have rectified that. The only thing I don't like about this guitar is the high E string is very close to the edge of the fret board, so you have to make a conscious effort when playing not to slip over, but other than that another great guitar from Fender. Tim from Down Under.

I have an S2 mcarty Thinline but seriously consider this as a replacement.

I liked the epiphone sound on most of the takes.

Great guitar and value for the price! I like the tuners there just fine and wouldn't put locking tuners on., as they will change the tone and feel off the guitar. The stock PRS tuners on the guitar are great and do the job!

Sorry but I'd go Les Paul Classic in honey burst $2,199 , cts pots, orange drops $30.00. Savings $970. install any pickups I want and still be saving $700.

Sound was close between the 2. A little eq mods on amp and theyll be almost same.

How does it compare with the professional series and does it come with hard shell case?

Thank you so much for comparing it with strat! It definitely doesn't have the spanky/glassy-metallic classic strat sound, but it has more "meatier" or rounder tone without being muddy or too fat like LP

The factory that builds this guitar also built my Fender Limited edition Telecaster FMT HH. It is definitely a keeper!

I think this is more like what I would want in a prs strat style guitar more so than the silver sky .

when you put gain on those pickups they are not very pleasing to the ear.

Its pretty weird when a band that no listens to with 3 guitar players. And they all handed multiple signature gear deals

Count your blessings! If you can only complain about import electronics consider yourself lucky. Try doing some whole tone bends up and down the neck and if you don't have the notes choke out you got a good one that doesn't need fret leveling like mine does. Don't expect top level pickups and pots and electronics at this price range but consider yourself fortunate you don't have to go to a luthier to fix shoddy fretwork like I did. What a whiner!

I think I like the clean tone of the Strat but the PRS sounds fatter with the crunchy stuff.
