Welding Repair of 18" Auger Bit - Final
zhlédnutí 942Před rokem
This auger bit had the cutting edge way worn off, so only a couple/3 teeth were left of the 6. I added steel, drilled new holes and added the new teeth. Good to Go!
Welding Repair of 18" Auger Bit - Intro
zhlédnutí 420Před rokem
Welding repair on 18" Auger Bit we use on the Bobcat. I got this bit for free because it was so worn! The cutting edge was super worn off, so new steel is needed and then holes drilled for new teeth.
Core Drilling 18" diameter Concrete for Bollard
zhlédnutí 125Před rokem
We usually just cut a concrete square out, then dig our hold with the bobcat and auger. Instead, this customer wanted a round core-drilled hole for better appearence in front of their entrance. We subcontract out that work. These guys at ACS in Minneapolis were great!

A walk-around of the Little Free Library I built for the Capitol Region Watershed District. Thanks go out to CRWD staff: Anna Eleria, Rachel Funke and Jessica Bromelkamp as well as Christine Baeumler for setting us up. They're the best folks. And I thank Benjamin Papparella of Modest Laser for great engraving and Rob Broker of Adrenaline Customs for Powder Coating pole. Holly Robbins of This is...

Tuned 1977 Johnson 70hp 70el77s
zhlédnutí 29KPřed 4 lety
Just bought a 69 Crestliner Runabout with finicky 1970 70hp Johnson outboard. It just took some cleaning and regreasing of all throttle and shifting linkages, then tuning in of warm-up lever and idle screw. Runs sweet now! See you at the Matoska boat launch!
Flip Book Interactive Case for Kinzua State Park Vistor Center, PA
zhlédnutí 21Před 5 lety
This was called the "Bridging the Valley" interactive. I didn't make the awesome flip books mechanisms or the graphics. The flip book mechanisms were made by Mark Rosen and Wendy Marvel of www.FlipBookKit.com. The case that houses these mechanisms is patinaed steel, reclaimed Wormy Chestnut from a Pennsylvania Barn, Acrylic glass and various mechanicals within. I designed the bottom to give the...
Mechanicals for Picture Viewer Interactive
zhlédnutí 17Před 5 lety
At Blue Rhino Studio, I built a few things for Kinzua Bridge State Park Visitor Center in Pennsylvania. This was just the start of the "Optomatron", a picture viewing interactive. It would come to have a selection of magnifying lenses on the sliding, rotating wheel. And a lot of Industrial looking case work, bezels, cowls, etc.
PRR T1 Locomotive Driver Wheel 5/8 Reproduction
zhlédnutí 560Před 5 lety
Here, I got help from metal wizard Hal Eckhart of MetalGeek.com fame. We got the wheel to spin nicely in order to hone the outer steel "tire". I fabricated this reproduction driver wheel to be used as a standing desk/table. It's a 5/8 scale taken from the original drawings of the Pennsylvania Railroad T1 Locomotive. I did 2 of these working at Blue Rhino Studio for a train enthusiast client who...
I have a 70 horse johnson 1977 just replaced impeller.....am i supposed to see water coming out a certain p hole....because i didnt before and on new impeller and just dont wanna blow it up
Runs well. Has a little gudgeon slap but thats normal for them.
I dont think he managed to replace the engine screw. I think this one is in a scrapyard now.
Can you tell me how to raise the idle
Just got a mint one garbage laquered lol
Do you still have this boat I can't figure out where to put the throttle spirng. I'm going to rewatch your video
I do have the boat still, but it's a ways away from me and I can't remember where the spring is. Maybe try searching for an old manual for your throttle? You've probably already done that.
I have same motor and having no spark issues ?? Any help???
Boy, it's been so long since I worked on that engine that I can't really be of much help. New plug, new plug wire,,, advance maybe...
Probably the stater, that controls the spark
Hi, can you explain how you tuned it? Im having a hard time doing this in same motor
Is it normal for these things to piss from a hole out the back of the midsection instead of the actual telltale
I have a 75 model but no where near as clean as your motor. How did you go about cleaning it? Does the boat run well now? My boat doesn't rev out to 5500 rpm. Do you know what the problem could be?
I cleaned all the gummy throttle linkages with lacquer thinner, then used a Mercury brand marine grease to lubricate. Then everything moved smoothly.
Lean
Sounds pean
Don't forget to take apart the remote control box. The grease inside it can also cause reaction issues.
Yep. Thanks. I took that apart too and cleaned it a greased it.
If get large wood disk and drill a hole the same size as the part you stick into the chuck key. Then drill hole that lines up with one of the three chuck hole . With a long bolt that fits into the hole. You don't need to undo the belts. Good control in threading.
Do another update video on it i wanna see if it works
Im having a hard time with finding a prop, mine was stolen, do you have numbers on your prop to give me not ghe size but factory serial # ? Thanks!
Seafoam causes quite the smoke show!
It revs nice now EY.
the idle speed screw you are adjusting at 1:20 needs to be done in the water, with an accurate shop tach, and the throttle cable DISENGAGED or you will not get it to run with absolute consistency. Sure, you can get it close, but really the synch n link procedure needs to be followed in the correct order. this motor is so clean! thanks for the video love to see these old girls out there!
How do you do a link sync. I have the same motor and its running rough at wot. Thanks!
@@petersgarage6125 get factory service manual. its all in there.

Does the thermostat have to open before water comes out the two holes??
No, I don't believe so. The water will run through the engine and simply bypass the thermostat when closed.
John Wenzel should there be a lot of water coming out the two exhaust ports?
I don’t see any water coming out of your two ports, is that normal?
@@artbentley8594 If you have the earmuffs on the water intakes, then I adjusted the water pressure at my host spigot so the water isn't just flying out under the rubber earmuffs. So, then, the same amount of water will come out of the exhaust ports as you're putting in. You should have decent water flow, or engine could overheat. You don't want to run it too long like this just in case. Real engine repair guys use water tanks, and not the ear muffs. If you aren't getting much water coming out, maybe your earmuffs aren't snug. Are you sure you have the muffs over the intakes? I suppose there could be blockage?
@@artbentley8594 I know there was, but I'm having trouble seeing it in the video too. I'm not sure. I thought it was coming out in a few places? Can't remember. Maybe you've detected that I have an issue? I'll maybe check it out soon. Gotta get back to work. Thanks
Great video
The motor sounds nice!
Thanks James!
You're probably right. This was a wood/steel 5/8 scale "reproduction" to serve as a standing desk for a railroad guy's office.
So they're actually are going to rebuild the PRR T1? I thought that idea got rejected.
The prop says 13 1/4 x 17 on it. It's got quite a bit of power.
What size prop you running, dia? Pitch? Someone stole my prop, i just bought a new one 12.1/4× 15,have not tried it yet.
