I’m actually very surprised at the camera quality on this video. Usually CZcams compresses my videos badly but with this new camera it looks very good. I know some shots are out of focus, and that’s just because I’m still learning on how to focus on subjects. My camera doesn’t have tracking focus on it so it makes it alittle harder.

September 18th, 1988. Michigan Narrow Gauge Railroad #42, or Ol' Mason, is getting cleaned. She is due to take the "St. Petersons Church Excursion" to St. Petersons, where passengers attend the Sunday services. After checking #42's compartments and water level, fireman Robert D. Lewis stokes coal into the firebox. After doing a quick blowdown, engineer Clark Albertson opens the regulator and pulls the throttle, as the train exits out of the shed, switching into the yard, where she will collect the coaches for the day. After collecting the coaches, #42 departs the yard and heads for the station. 34 passengers board the train that day. After taking a slight refill on water, Ol' Mason departs, heading for St. Petersons. Around 12:34pm, Ol' Mason reaches St Petersons. The passengers on board climb out of the coaches, and head for the chapel. A compromise between the conductor and engineer decides that a few more passengers, to whom had bought tickets and had gotten the incorrect schedule, could board the train. This wasn't usual, but it would have to do. At 1:45PM, #42 leaves on time, due to head back to the main station, departing at 15 miles per hour, before highballing the track at 45. At 1:55PM, #42 passes through Peterson crossing, full-throttle. She passes another crossing about 6 minutes later. The train passes the yard, the engineer blasting the whistle full-on. At 2:10PM, she finally arrives at the station again. It is now time for regular passenger service. She fills up on water again at the tower, before departing for regular excursions at 2:35PM.
