The more i look at it, the more I like it. I do think it’s good.
I can totally relate to the audience member yelling "Thank You!!!" at the ending of In the Dead of Night. It's one thing to see and hear one of your favorite musicians playing one of your favorite songs but, it's another thing to hear them play it not only differently but to add to it in a way that's totally unexpected and even more rich than the recording. Such was the flair Bruford added to the ending.
Loved the groove @ 4:40 ish
All is Bruford fans miss him & his playing. There was so much magic there. I guess you get to a certain age and think : “My contributions have been made. Time to give some young kid the stage.”
Maestro!
A One Of A Kind drummer. For me the best ever.
he is my favourite drummer of all time and i am a bloody guitarist! The man is just a genius and he makes it look so EFFORTLESSLY like he is just sitting having a cuppa and talking to people
Agreed!
...always a masterful, artful drummer....the best.Period.
His genius was wasted on boring music
Geñio Bill..con una sincopa.y técnica única..maestro de maestros!!!!❤
One of the best 👌
if not the best
It's always the best ones who view themselves as average
That songs almost 30 years old
I hear so much of his influence in Danny Carey . Bill is one of my favorites, absolutely a legend.
Danny is Great but He sounds like a High school drummer next to Bill.
He’s like an algorithm for how you want the drums to be played
How fascinating at the end of his career he played a very economic open handed style that is ahead of most of the things we see today
Powerfull drumlegend ❤
Grande Bill. Saludos desde ciudad de Canelones, Uruguay.
La musique ce vie ne ce vent Pas
Le son de sa ride est fantastique c’est quel type?
Those 2 UK albums are still played very heavily in my vehicle. Lol. Thanks for posting and a huge thanks to Mr Brufford for that amazing music that he had given to us…. Enjoy your well deserved retirement.
I think he retired at the right time.... 2010 was getting toward near the end of classic rock... WHICH IS DEAD BY THE WAY .... But living on through product placement like RHINO and etc ... The new stuff doesn't have a chance for anything liked by idiots .... Plus the competition that came and went is overwhelming amazing .... There no point discussing it .
Legend
Its funny, I hear a lot of Neil Peart in his playing. And NO, THIS IS NOT A COMPARISON between Dom and Neil. Both were superb players and of course Dom was an awesome educator.
A very good solo indeed.. With other business edited in there.. Excellence!!
Thank you for uploading this.
This man is PURE inspiration. not just as a drummer...
I took lessons with Dom for a few years and I can tell you the power he played with would push you across the room. Nothing like being in room with Dom as he taught and played like this 5 feet from you. And incredibly intense human being.
Best at 5 min mark man. RIP bad guy
I red once Jeff Porcaro said during a concert where Dom was backstage "i can't do drum solos, you can.Just go" or something like that.
We used to go to the Magma concerts when I was a kid in the 70s... Keen followers. Always a blast, Vander used to take solos at every concert. Spellbinding.
the Joe Morello of prog
Absolute Icon!
There's only two drummers , the Best of the Best , one os The king - Bill Bruford . And other drummer are Terry Bozzio.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love this man so much
Quite the character and my favorite by far. Take a listen to him with the band Gong, good stuff
Such a highly-rated drummer, yet still severely underrated regardless! I can't say he's my all-time favorite drummer, 'cause he's SO MUCH MORE than merely a "drummer"; he's the musicians' musician and my all-time favorite of THAT kind!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He's never on any stupid top 10 drummers lists! Should be right up there with Bonham and Baker and whatnot.
The Stephen Hawking of drums?
Billy Cobham
My favorite drummer.
This guy is pretty good. Not bad.
Sad he had to retire, still one of the greatest
I love Prog but Bills band's music often became Atonal and just plain noises,I'm here for the solo!
Jan paice the best
Tama starclassic yo !
Bruford my drummer all Life
Doubles doubles doubles! ...oh and PaiStE Masters!
You sure? I'm pretty sure it's Paiste Signature Dark Energy cymbals
アメイジング!元はジャズがルーツのブラッフォードさんですが 凄まじいドラムソロは、本気でJAZZのドラミングです! さすがです!
Bill's YES drumming will never cease to exists when he plays it will always be there and the reason He is such a unique drummer in my opinion, He went to King Crimson and a successful solo career but his YES inclination and sharp snare will always be there! Bless You Bill forever my favorite amazing drummer!
?
c'était vraiment très intéressant!

Enormously underrated drummer! Dom has some serious chops!
