Thank you so much, I was in the medical school before, and until now, I was struggling a way to remember: the way fluids shift. Even though I understood the mechanism behind it and the physiology, I had to rethink about it each time I want to use them. Now, that I came across your very informative lecture, and the tricks you mentioned to remember ( O- stands for Out, E- stands for Enter, and I-stands for inside the blood vessel( or stays in, ohhh and the was you break down everything and gave examples! Can you please correct the fact that your "clean" glove is on the IV site where you are now going to cover with a clear, sterile dressing? The site should never be touched. Unless the gloves are sterile, you may introduce microbes at the site, then cover with a nice dressing and let them grow undisturbed. Also, the IV should be stabilized until dressing on. It is very painful for the catheter to be flopping around as you flush.

It's a good thing that said only for nurses and not paramedics. It would be scary for a nurse to teach a paramedic to do anything nothing like waiting on orders to just assess a patient

Hi, I just became a CNA and started working at a nursing home and currently experiencing this. My preceptor has gone missing a few times and I find myself wandering looking for her or hanging around the nurses station. I walk around and talk to some of the patients but after my third training day I need more hands on training. I even had another CNA tell me with an attitude I need to get on the floor and do something because I don’t want anyone talking about me, and I told her Yeah but idk where my trainer is and she said that doesn’t matter. I’m going to take your advice.
