When I made the vid, my thought process was around how I am able to dedicate about the same amount of time into climbing as many folks who hold down a 9-5. Climbing is and always will be a passion that I do in my free time 🙂

Hey Trevor, thanks for the comment! Sometimes my finger joints are stiff and enlarged after a hard day of climbing...especially during hotter months or after lots of crimping. When I had this injury, I wasn't able to make a full, tight fist for a handful of weeks. I could still close the hand but not with full force or free of pain.

Really appreciate that Josh! We are fortunate to have access to quite a bit of outdoor bouldering venues within a two hour radius (and sport crags if I dare hop in a harness 😅). Targasonne gets a bit hot for my liking in summer since I know what friction is like in winter. When it gets warmer, I'll shift over and focus on indoor climbing during the week that consists of the Moonboard and some weighted finger boarding. I get the most enjoyment being outdoors, so we usually save weekends in summer for going out...even if it's in the 90's! We just cut the grade way down and use the heat to explore new places for the upcoming season.

​@@davidrowe8747 No problem! Happy to help out if I can. We once slept in the back of a Subaru Forester with just yoga mats over the sloping seats (it was pouring rain and our tent leaked). It wasn't the most comfortable experience to say the least. I bet you could probably come up with a way to reduce the slope though. I know they are starting to phase out some of the boxey style vans in diesel to bring in hybrid or electric versions. Hopefully you can score a nice one! The last name Paolone actually sounds familiar. What a small world! Cheers from the Pyrenees!

Fantastic question! When climbing outdoors, it's definitely possible to find critters hiding inside deeper handholds. I've seen small lizards, bats, bees, mice, and spiders. I've never seen a snake inside an actual handhold, but I suppose it's very possible! In general, routes that see lots of people climbing it tend to be free of critters...it's usually the ones that nobody climbs or in areas that see no traffic for several months of the year (aka...summer season). If there is a bat inside, I leave it alone and find something else to climb. For spiderwebs, I'll usually clean those off and keep climbing. Lizards run away on their own!
