If your fan blade has fallen down the shaft over the years, how do you know the proper mounting position for a new blade? Is it noted in the installation manuals?

Dont buy, Within one year the outside looked terrible from all the rust. It pumps water from inside to outside is noisy and prone to fail. It did cool well and most of the time pretty quite, but my compressor failed right after warrenty ran out. I replaced it with the Madia and the quality seems way better than the GE.

What about a sound outside that is similar to a water surge sound?

In your video on the compressor wiring, there are two black wires also going to the compressor. Are these for the heater, and if they were not connected what would that effect? I found on my unit th at they were either rotted or cut , and if I reconnect them is there polarity to them?

The fuse on my control board pops. I disconnected the wires and reconnected them one at a time. The fuse never blew. I reconnected all of the wires, turned it back on, and the fuse blew again. Doesn't that point to the control board shorting out? Can you advise on how I check the board? Do you think it's something else? Thanks for your time.

change your anode rod every 5 years and flush it every year and it will last well over 20 years.

My condenser won't turn on at all no noise nothing.I don't see a capacitor on my condenser. I saw two boards one on the bottom has a steady red light and one on the top green blinking light? Any help would be appreciated

In Phoenix AZ where the heat directly on the unit is so hot you can’t touch it - the shade absolutely matters.

Thank you.... the Honeywell section saved me. Our bug guy nuked the garage and pantry area (close to garage entrance) for ants and I think this tripped our sensor. Easy-Peasy. Our unit reset on about transition 4 out of 6 (but I finished all 6). Thanks again!

I have 1980 Carrier gas furnace - blower motor runs non-stop - do not see control board - what could be the reason for blower motor runs non-stop?

In the trade for many years. Started as a helper,worked my way up to be an estimator. Sold $980,000 my best year. My boss signed up to be a Hone Depot installer. Estimated a house for a 4 ton load based on a Manual J calculation. Customer had no existing ductwork or equipment. Install went perfect. Customer complained to Home Depot how I oversized his system. He neglected to tell Home Depot that he repaired computers in his basement and had multiple machines running all the time.Home Depot wanted my load calculations, paperwork... I even sent them pictures of the running computers. In the end, I was fully paid, and Home Depot had to appease him. After the warranty period was up, lwe fired the customer.

You didnt mention this. But I hear a chirping sound at the outside unit. Upon checking, saw a small bird perched on top of the condenser. Shooed it away and problem solved.

I really am at my wits end the house I just bought. My home in in central fl and its 1150 square feet. The ac is a newer 2.5 ton 2020 champion unit. The delta is anywhere from 18 to 22 degrees. The windows are new double pane. I just had attic insulation put in yet the ac has a very hard time bringing the temp down. The only other things I can think of is there’s lots of leaks in the home or the thermostat is faulty.

Do not grab the motor studs on the threads put a nut on the stub and grab the nut. Also, WD-40 is a penetrating oil not a lubricant. Just an FYI many people are under a misconception.

Why do they feel the need to hide or disguise the date? That doesn’t even make sense.

We’re in the process of getting a new heat pump system, and they recommend an AprilAire filter system. Are they really better of should we just go with the cheap ones that you change every 30 days?

Thanks a lot. It saved me at least 500 bucks. It started when my nest thermostat throws E4 error, no power to Rh. I found out the 3a fuse was blown. Replaced it with a new one. Blown again. Checked the terminal C and Y on the wire to condenser, and there is a short on the outside unit.
