The most important message from this documentary and something that I firmly believe in is to help yourself. Help your own household first, if every/most ppl did that then the community would be a better place because not everyone can make it out. I'm from Rocklands but now a New Zealand citizen. I still thought of myself as being a "coloured" when I got here in 2012, white man did a good job at brainwashing mother fuckers. Then I made a choice to detach myself from that fucked up label. I realized how fukin pathetic I must have sounded when ppl asked where I'm from and talking about coloureds and blacks etc. Live for yourself and your family and uplift them, you can't save everyone. Ppl have to change their own mindset. When you are in an environment with alot of negativity and hopelessness then it's easy to fall into that cycle. I believe everyone should at least try to get out of M/Plain, after all it's not our home, we were dumped there.
