The Concordia College Percussion Ensemble and Marimba Choir are based at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. Under the direction of Dr. David Eyler, the two ensembles perform annually in a fall concert, as part of Concordia's PRISM concert, and in the spring as hosts of the Minnesota Day of Percussion at Concordia. The groups also tour regionally each spring.

I love this! My only wish was that on Tonight the drums were more supportive playing the back beat snare on the & of each beat to give it that pulse at around the 9:00 mark.

These kids had me with the opening clapping rhythm. When I try to do it I look like Steve Martin in the Jerk. Love this tune. My favorite Metheny Mays creation. I feel fortunate to have seen it performed a few times while Lyle was alive.

How is the beginning counted in? I'm having trouble grasping it.
The timbales intro begins with a pick-up of two 16th notes to a measure of 16ths. Like the original that Santana did.
This brought tears to my eyes. - To see these kids play this beloved PMG song!! Wow. It has been said that this song is 'certainly one of the greatest musical compositions and recording of the past century' This song will live on for centuries!

A Través de los señores Hurtado la marimba cromática se dio a conocer a nivel mundial de tal manera que fueron perfeccionando los sonidos y se aplicaron nuevos estándares de construcción, lo que el mundo aún no ha escudriñado es el inmenso repertorio de melodías escritas por grandes maestros que quedarían bien plasmadas en estos excelentes conjuntos marimbisticos, esperamos estar escuchando bellas melodías como fiesta de pájaros, ave lira, obertura indígena, la flor del café, el belicismo vals noche de luna entre ruinas, bueno me cansaría de seguir mencionando nombres, pero me alegra escuchar esta melodía con este bello ensamble de marimbas.
