    Hi, I recently purchased a catenery set ad gad it brought to Tironto. I was disappointed to find the package did not include the masts, I obviously did not read the fine print. What would it cost to get the masts over here to Toronto ? How many masts are in the package? I was only intending to build 4 or 5 as my layout isn’t very large. Thanks very much in advance Regards Charlie

      @@colinglenister2023 it’s a 360 degree view of the constructed kit which we embed on our product page on the website so customers can see how it will look once they’ve built it. 👍 The ecommerce software we use requires the videos to be uploaded to CZcams and then embedded from there. General feedback from customers so far is that they’re really useful on the product pages 👍👍

    Why not just use PVA? Just takes a little longer to dry. What exactly is UHU? Is that the British version of Super Glue? Don't think I've ever heard of UHU. I use plasticized card stock for brick work from Rail Scale Models. They offer card stock which mimics older weathered brick or their plastic coated card stock which is used for newer brick and the colors are more brilliant because the paint doesn't soak into the card stock, rather lays on the surface. Cheers from eastern TN

    If you wish to add texture to the brick paper, depending on the size and scale of the brick, you can use a Sizzix Big Shot, with a Wills brick sheet as an emboss. Get familiar with the big shot, lay the Wills sheet onto the packing, line your brick paper up with the Wills sheet, I used a cocktail stick to line the printed sheet with the Will sheet, then face up, lay a silicone rubber sheet over both, then run it through the Big Shot to emboss. Try it a few times, practice makes perfect.

    I thought this kit was a jig so you could make a number of curved platform pieces with it. But it isnt and just makes one relatively small section of curved platform. It would work out incredibly expensive if you needed to build curved platforms as opposed to a small curved section..

    • @ScaleModelScenerycouk
      @ScaleModelScenerycouk Před rokem

    D.I.Y is always best in my opinion. Various grades of sand paper stuck down, painted/textured etc. DIY also allows you to model the cambre of the carriageway. Printed paper sheets can be used too as they look great, especially when viewing from "normal viewing distance". I've never seen any use or merit in using pre formed road sections, either resin or stickers. They're very expensive and never look realistic.
