Thanks again for the great work, I love mine. Only issue is the grass debris blocking the fod. I saw at the end of your video a nice protection made of a grid and kind of frame, can you share a bit more info on that, a potential STL file you can share ? Thanks
Nice job and thanks for the sharing ideas in the video. We want to do a B-1 conversion also. I sent you 2 PM in RCG. My email address is there. Thanks and great job. Looks great!
Responded!
What a model.. and nice and slow.. Its like the full size model was shrunk.
Thank you. It’s a lot of fun to fly
awesome work
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice work. I’m building this plane with a UMS 180. Wondering if you could give me some feedback on how you mounted the motor? It seems the right lower hole will be outside the engine box if mounted on the datum line of the airplane. I was using fusion to design a new firewall and was just wondering how you worked that out! Really beautiful work man!
I used an 18mm spacer block to mount the engine on the standard firewall. The bolt that goes along the edge of the firewall has its recessed head in the back of that block and the nut on the engine mount side. you can then use a "normal" bolt though the spacer block through the firewall in a more convenient position.
@@ticketec ok thanks so much. Makes sense.
Nice flying field love what you did with the plane so much better 👍
Thank you. A few little changes and you get quite a scale FW-190 from this kit!
Great video. I am collecting my new HSD T33 Turbine next week. Could I ask about the Spektrum set up you used. Does the AS3X / Gyro function same as it does on EDFs and does the after burner LED work with Spektrum setup via the MFC 8085. Appreciate any feedback, can’t find much info elsewhere. Regards.
Anyone know where I can purchase a FW190 Spinner like on this plane? I'm located in the states near Austin Texas. Gator rc is out of stock on the 3 blade which is about 4.5" diameter? Thanks Fred
❤ that 190 got one and have a ums 125 to put in it, hope it has the power? FF
I have seen one fly with the 125cc and it was fairly marginal on power. I would recommend use only 2 blade prop, to get the maximum out of the engine. The 180 flies comfortably on just over 1/2 throttle
Nice flight mate. What's the build quality like on this jet? Tossing up between this one and the AF mb339 seems this one comes in not as hot as th AF and a little more relaxing to land.
Here are great models. Mine is now a couple of years old and still going strong
@@ticketec Thanks for the reply.. I think I might go with it.
What type of paint did you use. rlm color codes ?
Hi, the paint is PPG Dulon automotive acrylic paint with a 2k flat clear coat to finish. The paint was custom mixed to match RLM paint chips I have.
I wonder if you could increase the flighttime even further. Maybe with bigger tanks? What do you think?
You could add a little more fuel, but then the weight goes up and you need to burn off that fuel to get the same performance. Most pilots don’t fly more than 6-8mins, and this is enough fuel for that long.
Wspaniały !
wow, I love it, what a beautiful job
Thank you so much!
Just perfect!
Thank you. She is a pleasure to fly
Nazi swastika sign🤮
It’s a German WW2 aircraft… the markings are there purely for the sake of being historically accurate. Good work on your virtue signaling 🙄
I would like to ask, what scale is the twin 40mm F-14? I plan on doing custom graphics for mine but I can't seem to figure out the scale of the airplane.
I think it was about 1:30 scale. I just sent callie graphics the measurements of the tail fin so she could make sure these would fit correctly.
Nice conversion. Could you please let me know why the turbine mount has down thrust ? why not mount it straight parallel to the thrust line ?
The thrust line of the turbine is offset to the center line of the aircraft, this means there is a pitching moment in the turbines thrust vector. A dead straight turbine thrust line causes all these under-slung turbines to make the aircraft climb almost uncontrollably. The supplied STL mount angle is correct to within about 1 degree which gives next to no pitch change with throttle changes during flight.
@@ticketec thanks for the explanation. Just one more thing, have you reinforced the airframe and changed the stock servos for the turbine conversion?
@@aviationunlimited4353 NO mods required. I flew it with stock servos everywhere, but have since upgraded the elevator servos because the whole elevator system has too much slop and this can cause issues with wings swept back flight
hi, where can i download the STL files? thank you@@ticketec
Hello Tiketec, this is an old video, hope you can reply, I am planning to get the black horse fw190 but with UMS 125 instead of 180. Any opinion if that will be underpowered, lower limit ?
Its not that old a video :D I have personaly seen the UMS 125cc in this model and found it to be underpowered. I do not recommend it for a 1/4 warbird
Thanks for quick reply, very useful info. I will go for 180 or a lighter model like TopRc.@@ticketec
@@serkansalah1883 I think you will find the topRC is actually smaller and heavier
Amazing paintjob and nice flying 👍😊
Beautiful sky, beautiful plane, and great flying control. I love seeing videos of modelers who can actually precisely fly the planes they build. Great scale takeoff and landing.
Thank you. Looking right on the ground is only 50% of the battle. Luckily she is a joy to fly
That Engine Sounds Incredible 😮😮😲😀😊❤️ What Fuel Does It Run and Did It Require Break In 😀 What an Amazing Job Building This Plane 😮👍🏼
Thank you. It’s a gasoline engine and mixed with oil. Yes it needs a long breaking in process.
That is a killer !
it flies great with the turbine!
Very nice work. More please 😁
I might try and do a more in depth conversion video soon
ums is a Indian brand right ? by the way awesome plane man
Yes. Originally it was Seidel radials from Germany
What kind of fuel did you use
Jet A1
Amazing job
I want one!
Me too 😀
Scale flying to the the tens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is the ums holding up? Any real issues with it? I’m looking at different engines for this and am just curious what your thoughts are so far
So far it has been great! I’ve got plenty of flight with it now and love it
Hey mate what size prop are you running?
Biela 26x16 3 blade
Awsome I am currently building the exact same model with the 180ums 5cyl. How did you find the CQ? Did you have add much tail weight?
@@crzycro982 I have all my batteries in the tail wheel compartment and added no lead at all.
Horrible sound👎🏻
what flight time are you getting now?
About 8-9mins of mixed flying
@@ticketec that is awesome, I get about 4 minutes with mine stock EDF
and with 2 500 cc tanks I got about 6', thanks again for this great post
Sounds so sweet! I mean looks like a real plane.. incredible build my friend.
Hi. I can use Kingtech k30 for this jet F14? Thanks
I would not recommend it. The F-14 is on the heavier side. I would try single 80mm models
@@ticketec Could you recommend one but with the turbine installed like the F14?
I used a K30 G2 on my F14 conversion and it flew just fine. I now have X45's and it would be the perfect engine! I used 6 degrees down thrust and it seemed about right, plus a single 750mm tank directly in front of the swing wing mechanism.
Danke. if you look at my newer video with my Anton you will see far more detailed added to a bigger fw-190.
How much would you charge to paint one of these for me??
God Dam floater!
Absolutely incredible plane engine beautiful
Awesome repaint and nice flying.
Nice job on the paint and looks like it flies great. Did you add any protection to the bottom for belly landing?
No nothing extra. The AK interactive paints are proving to be quite durable
It flies lovely, hand toss with safe on makes it a breeze
Great conversion and video. Any chance you could let me know the turbine angle you finally used in relation to the flat on the bottom of the aircraft? I do not do printing and prefer to do things like this the old fashioned way...plywood and/or aluminum. Thank you.
Awesome build ,great flying ,thank goodness you left your markings on there that’s the way it supposed to look
Lovely model and beautifully flown 👌🏻
All of that hard work paid off😁
Thanks mate. It was fun to detail and paint and I was much happier with the finish over stock
I like the part where it’s planes and stuff GREAT WORK ❤🎉
WOW - Simply amazing!!!!!
Wow..dude...2 thumbs up..thanks.
I'm lost at all of this. If the turbo is small enough to fit in the nacelle what keeps you from doing it?
You will not be able to fit anywhere near enough fuel in the airframe, to run the 2 turbines. And 2 x45 would be waaay too much power for this model
