Some of those people who considered the dogs and cats after the fact shouldn't have them. They either work for you or they are part of your family and if it's the latter they aren't just convenient. When I volunnteered after Alabama was devastated in 2011 I was sent to a lady's house that wasn''t damaged but her yard was ruined with debris. A little dog came walking up in shock and I called the number on the tag and it was the woman whose yard we were cleaning. She was sitting down at a shelter with zero injuries being fed while we cleaned up her big yard at her huge newer house for her and took care of her dog. She wasn't there cleaning cause she didn't clean. There were so many volunteers throughout the State we were being sent to places that didn't even get damaged, just needing cleanup. I didn't want to help that entitled woman at all but stayed to help the volunteers and the dog. That one woman here who was doing a tv interview and then her dog comes walking out of the rubble and she seems like she had totally forgotten about him until then? I don't ever want to know people like that.

Losing all you have, and then your pet is gone. That's a family member and a loss that can never be replaced. Then you find them, and the joy must be over the top! I'm so happy for all these people, and happy that all the poor traumatized pets got home again. So slap happy! 😊❤😊❤😊❤

Katy survived on her own through the heat and cold for a month, but she definitely found herself some water… how did the producer of the broadcast not catch that mistake? The reporter just stated that as if it was a known fact, when in reality, no one saw what the kitty was doing during those weeks; she was alone and scared but she was almost certainly scrounging for food and water, at LEAST had to have drank some water, even if it were dirty… cats can’t live without water for a month! Also, she didn’t look emaciated, so she must’ve caught a few mice or ate some grass or plants- she looks matted and all, but not skinny the way she would be had she not eaten anything for an entire month! And thank god for that! (Unless she started out super obese, lol.)

Dogs and animals in general are so loyal and the bond is so strong, I live on my own and my Budgie is the best company in the world. Pets ask only for love and give so much.

I wonder sometimes of the pets not found, adopted out and their family seeing them with some one else, in the news or social media. Maybe glad they’re alive. Do these foster families ever return them if families ask for them?

Bruh… these people abandoned those animals in first place when they were running away…. Just spend 10 seconds to pick up your dog instead you f leaving it behind in a tornado… I don’t have a single ounce of compassion for this people
