      Thank you so much. Sure thing, the headset I used was 44mm bike stem, but I bought 2 and used both the bottom bearing and bearing seat. The main outer body was 100 mm outside Dia. And around 94mm inner. The swing out body was 80mm box, and the headset sleeve was cut to suit the required length for a tight fit. The tube was 44mm inner but did have a slight wiggle room, so I advise to paint the inter tube for a more snug fit. I hope this helps, and if you need more info, just let me know 😊

    • @ScottyzBuildz
      @ScottyzBuildz Před 27 dny

      The whole point is that it swings away from the rooftop tent and allows the tent to open while having the shower tent alongside the tent. Also, it gets it away from the side of the camper. For my setup, it works great, and many people are even using them on their cars as it swings out from their canopy.

    Get rid of that thermal fuse in place of a mega fuse. That Ebay isolator is garbage too. Feel the heat being generated at all your lugs within these two parts, it's too hot. Throw them both, no need for the isolator, just a mega fuse. There will be zero heat this way

  • @72superlead

    In regards to off grid systems in caravans/vehicles - seeming a live chassis from faulting appliance can kill you without a protective device, using a portable RCBO plugged into the 240v output will protect, but because there's no earth to ground, YOU will be it. This should cause the RCBO to trigger but it could be too late.. If you installed an earth stake from inverter chasis it was have tripped without you in circuit. Just a friendly reminder to all that 240v is 240v, it's dangerous and without a protective device or ground you're dicing with death

    I'd recommend you replace the Kings supplied negative cable to the inverter with the same size as the others. For example Redarc specify 55mm2 (1/0 AWG) for combined length up to a metre and 120mm2 (4/0 AWG) for 1-2m. Victron Multiplus specifies two cables on each of the terminals (ie 2 x 50mm2, so 4 in total). The Kings and iTech for that matter are insufficient, possibly dangerous. Not an issue if you're just drawing low amps, but max it out with an induction or similar and see how hot the cables get. My install nearly caught fire before I upgraded the cable sizes.

    • @ScottyzBuildz
      @ScottyzBuildz Před 3 měsíci

      Hey mate, thank you so much for the feedback. I was wondering about the Negative wire as it does look way to small with what Kings supply. I will be sure to Upgrade it before I go away in 2 weeks. Did you Earth the battery and inverter to the chassis? Also do you think 70mm2 at the same length as supplied Kings wire would be sufficient?

    • @ScottyzBuildz
      @ScottyzBuildz Před 3 měsíci

      Hi Dev, I will all depend on how many AMPs you are drawing. Yoo will either need leave your car running or if it is only for short time the car will charge once driving but will take some time. Mine Alternator charges at around 30amps. Having a big enough Inverter that can hold constant draw for your needs. Mine can have continuous draw of 300amps and spike to 320amps for 5sec. But bear in mind you need big enough batter or batteries to last out the day for your grooming. You could run 2 x 300ah batteries in parallel that will give you 600ah in total. I would also suggest getting a Victron charger so you can charge it when at home or when out on site if needed plus add solar to the top of your trailer. My panel is 170watts and can pull in 9.5 amps in direct sunlight. I hope this help you out. Scotty.

    I have the same tent and awning on my Delica. I don't have a welder, so I MacGyver'd some galvanised brackets from Bunnings to mount it. Had to offset the tent as well so it opened. Just wait til you get the awning walls, and do a full set up with the tent annex. It's like a little fortress. 😁 Unfortunately the walls for the awning cost almost as much as the awning itself..... Kings need to work on that.

    • @ElfAzzid
      @ElfAzzid Před 5 měsíci

      @@ScottyzBuildz The brackets are rated for 50kg each, and I got 3 of them. There's a bit of bounce and flex, but they hold. The walls add a bit of weight as well, and it flexed a bit too much. I've cut off the original brackets with a grinder and attached them to the galvanized one at the rear. One above, one inverted below in a kinda 69. Stumbled on your vid while searching for ideas. Another downside to the walls is the one with the door can only be hung in one position, the front, as it doesn't have a zip on both sides.
