That german girl Jojo must be from Bavairia with that accent...
A weird tiny little village in the mountains somewhere for sure 😂
Lol as if Matt had an actual ambulance. So hipster.
Don't!! I've seen the hipster crowd have also started wearing tennis socks.. cramping my style of the last 20 years!!! 😂
See you Sunday 🤙🤙🤙
yeeeeew!
Which one do you prefer?
Personally I'm a sucker for a longer wheelbase and a nice bit of flex through the composite construction... throw me on the Tangent 😊
@vandemmfg ok cool. I already have the Fathom. I like it so far but also do like a longer wheelbase. Maybe will have to look at getting the tangent later at some point
@@antson6356 oof, double trouble!! You could just buy the deck and switch your brackets over if you're only planning on riding one at a time. But then you're left with essentially a very nice, very expensive dinner tray... 😁
@vandemmfg good point i never thought of that. Lol
Can I use this with longboard wheels like 70mm+? Like without getting wheel bite
TKP trucks are very leany so it's always tricky to get bigger wheels under there. You also lose the ollie/trick ability of the board having the extra weight. But with some risers, anything is possible!
HWHY IM SAYING HWAT HWAT HWAY?!
Blimey
I'd rather have the smaller contact patch of the Pantheon Karma wheels.
Or go Pantheon Hoku for the smaller contact patch but still 100mm+ diameter!
Love it wish I could join you all. How do I find out about these session vandem?
Hey Pete!! They're all over our socials and our UK Longboard Events page here: vandemlongboardshop.co.uk/pages/uk-longboard-events
@@vandemmfg thanks guys. Checking it out now. I'll try meet you guys next month but so sweet to see this activity with lush and vandem. Big Up guy, wanna see you all soon again. Stay lovely as always. Big love from me, catch you all soon! ❤❤❤
*If loose trucks feel unstable, put harder bushings in, especially in the back truck, try a Venom freeride on board side in back truck, narrow end into hanger for more turn, wider end for more stability* 🤙🏽🤟🏽🤙🏽 Loose truck with harder bushings is better than tight trucks with softer bushings.
Best and shortest explanation I've seen yet. 👍
Yeeeew that's what we were aiming for!
Longer than your avg ;)
Cool!
Good old dayyysss
Your rocking it gal
Makes me miss my Landyachtz Evo
Simpler times ♥
I want
looks gnarly would love to ride thar
It's something different and functional, for sure!
I want to see it in action.
Definitely a head turner and looks fun af to ride
@@paullinga I wish we could set it up and take it for a razz!! Jeff from Pantheon has some videos of it in action, have a look and you'll see how silky smooth it pumps 🤙
It's Matt!!! I miss you and hope you have been doing well.
Paul!!! I miss you too dude!
Loving it Matt
@@GaryHowland26 Cheers Gary! Hope you're getting some sunshine up there.
I use wax.
We'll make a video on having a hairy back next week where we cover this
Thank you!!
Thanks
😻 Promo'SM
Love it that Lush are still out there cutting wood. Road surfaces look worse than in the earlier Bristol videos.😂
This was such a fun day, so glad I got involved
Owain you weren't just involved mate, you were running the show!!! You and Jack competing hard for most metres skated throughout the day! Love it. Thanks for bringing the energy.
@@vandemmfg haha thanks hope to skate with you guys again soon
You guys make it look easy
wasted youth ;)
Butt sliding awesomeness
His poor butt 😁
Whoopaaaah! Pitted dude!
so pitted!!!
Love these guys
♥ hope all is well up north gary!
Beautiful boards 👌🤙. I bet they ride like butter with those wheels.
Great rollover, and the stoneground finish makes them that bit more civilised when it comes to breaking traction, too 🤙
Never do this indoors! The fumes can kill you
Stinky stinky :)
Careful man those fumes are no good
Definitely not something you want to make a habit of breathing!
Tight 👍
So what do you do with the graphite shavings? You didn't cover that part
You can use either the graphite shavings or the soap - either one works.
I use 85mm wheels with risers on a mini cruiser (Pilsner). Great for commuting!
fucking legend
how you even supposed to stop?
Air brake mostly on this road, after this steep part is just flat
Going so fast he could barely break tuck
What happened the the lush machine 3D concave? Getting back into skating and that was my dream board but never got it, its a shame its not still floating around
Hey Pete, hope all is well dude. Check out the Lush Radian. Same concave. Might need a chop if you want the machine outline, though..!
@vandemmfg hey lush crew yeah long time haven't skated in a long time but recently been getting back into it on my custome board I have at home but machine was legendary, what happened if you don't mind me asking. Back in the UK now so have to pop in and catch up with youlot again soon. I'll check out what you suggested, my custome deck is pretty nice just got a w concave so not the most comfy for pushing around but good on hills (even though have hit any as of yet, lush UK weather hey haha) but definitely need some new grip if anything, once I start working again and have some cash behind me I'll come see you lot. Shop look great from what I've seen in vids and photos, glad you're still up and running ✌️☺️👍
Love the flex of Loaded decks..
For that style of riding, you can't beat a Loaded!
That's sick!!! It's also got a width wide enough to set the table on.
😍
I’m loving it! Get one Matt and Rich sorted me out last week. Epic ❤
Stoked you're enjoying it Dave!
I wished I lived near Bristol so I could work in the shop. You guys are great!
Very helpful lil vid. Thank you so much. Nice to see a UK vid too. Interested to know why you didn't include Penny Boards. I'm completely new to all this so would like to know what to avoid as well as what to be looking out for. Many thanks :)
Thanks!! Penny Boards are barely bigger than a rollerskate, with cheap-as-possible components, no griptape, and made of plastic. They barely lean, turn or roll and they're almost impossible to skate for someone who knows what they're doing, yet alone a beginner. Best avoided!
@@vandemmfg Tres interesante. Thank you. I was considering the 32"x8.5" Penny board which is 2.5kg and then upgrading the trucks and wheels. Lots of places claim that Pennys are lighter than regular boards so I thought lighter would be better for my commuting needs. However, I found some similar sized regular boards and their weights range from 2.38 to 2.65 kg. So really, the only reason that Pennys are "lighter" is because the iconic mini-boards are so small. What a swiz eh? And yes, with my UK size 14 feet, the iconic Pennys would literally be roller-skates XD ... Cheers for the help :)
Uh-oh, are we being primed for a new SAMBA set-up?../crosses fingers/
Hahaha, yes... but not in this video. It's even better!!!
Love this video! I'm glad you guys have the same reaction to these trucks as I do.
hi!! i'm looking for a board to cruise around the campus and not really aiming for tricks should i get globe 26 inch blazer or 35 inch all the time skewered complete longboard? i'm super confused 😢
I'd recommend something like our Nomad Gazer for you - great for nipping around town and campus, it will fit behind your backpack :) vandemlongboardshop.co.uk/products/lush-longboards-nomad-gazer
That depends on 1) how tall you are and 2) how long will you use it outside campus. If you're under 5'10" and only inside campus, get the shorter one. If you plan on longer rides and are taller than 5'10", get the longer one.
I had it backwords regarding the angle and stability. Thanks for clearing that up. Do you ever suggest a 43 in the back and a 50 up front?
Yes we absolutely do! It's a great option if you're not going to skate switch at all. It's more stable overall with the split angle - the turn comes more from the front and the back follows along more. It is also much better for pumping, and actually generally feels super turny yet stable...and really good!
Will Cisco work for grease? I have nothing else atm 😂
It will be too thick and your bearings will pick up loads of dirt and start running badly very quickly. I've used clipper oil and bicycle chain lube before and people online say sewing machine oil works too. But you're probably just as likely to have bearing lube lying around than clipper oil or sewing machine oil lol.
@@RoryMag thanks for the tip and yes I used cisco and it did in fact bring a lot of dirt luckily my bearings are still okay lol I've switched to joint machine oil which was thinner and so far is pretty good
