Wild Glamping Knuckles - Glamping in Sri Lanka
A video review and tent tour of Wild Glamping Knuckles, Sri Lanka. This gorgeously remote glamping site in the Knuckles Mountain Range was one of the highlights of my recent trip - a must for anyone who wants to get a little "off the beaten path" in Sri Lanka.
The glamping site is near the remote village of Rangala, around 1,050m above sea level, at the foot of a towering mountain peak.
There's no WiFi and very little signal, so it's ideal for a digital detox. And the solar-powered generators only run for a few hours in the morning and evening. The generators (and lights) go out at 10pm, after that it's torches only! But that means ZERO light pollution, which is great for stargazing on clear nights.

Jacobite Express: Riding the Harry Potter Train in Scotland
zhlédnutí 3,6KPřed 3 lety
Did you know you can ride the REAL-LIFE Hogwarts Express in Scotland? Well, almost. The Jacobite Express is often known as the Harry Potter train, because it runs on the railway which was used to film the train scenes in the movies. Plus the first-class compartment carriages were used to film the interior train scenes, so it really is just like riding the Hogwarts Express. AND the train crosses...

My first time solo camping! I headed to the South Downs for a one-night mini adventure and discovered the perfect way to get away from it all. It's simple, socially-distanced, and GREAT if you're on a budget! Stayed at the Clarefield Copse Wild Campsite near Petersfield, which is only 30 minutes drive from my house but genuinely felt like being on a proper adventure! The campsite is as close to...

That means you get the place almost to yourself, and can get an up-close look at the stones that most visitors never ...
AA Smart Breakdown - Product Review and How it Works (AD)

The new Smart Breakdown device from the AA is a clever little device which plugs into your car and syncs it with your smartphone, so you can keep an eye on its health. It'll alert you of faults, and help you decipher warning lights - SO handy! Genuinely think this is SUCH a great idea - especially for new or nervous drivers like me. Awesome so cool me one day or something similar been to most these places.
Speak more slowly please. What did you say about Slad? You said the views are not so spectacular?
How can I take the ohana bus?
It’s not the exact steam train used that’s a K1 not a hall calss
We booked this tour for August. I'm even more excited now. Thanks for sharing!
4:29 you guys are funny. 😂🤣
It's very noisy music hard to understand what you say, video is really good
Hello, I am planning to visit Austria next month(February). I am looking forward to visit Lünersee since I was amazed by the views and nature of it. However, I realized that the cable car doesn't work during the season. And I want to know if it's even possible to visit duting winter because I know it's not the best season for it. I really want to climb up to Schafgafall but I want to make sure that it's possible and safe. Any ideas?
Hi! I believe the whole area is covered with snow in winter and there is no lake to see - that's why they cancel the cable car. I think even the hiking trail will be closed at this time of year as it would be dangerous to hike in all that snow. You can visit the official website here: www.luenersee.at/en/ They have a live webcam which shows what the lake looks like right now (covered with snow). You could email them to find out more. They do have a list of suitable winter hikes you could try as an alternative: www.montafon-brandnertal-card.at/en/experiences/winter-hiking Hope that helps :)
Great video - what camera did you use for this, and have you upgraded to something different now?
I shot this on my Canon Powershot gx7 mark ii. I don't make CZcams videos anymore but these days I shoot all video on my phone (Google Pixel 8 Pro) so technically I think I downgraded!
That’s a joke! I had to call out the AA for the first time in years on a yellow engine warning light. He could not read the fault he eventually got some faults based on another car, and guess what they were all incorrect and nothing to do with actual fault. What if I was broken down on the side of road, the AA cannot tell me what is wrong with my car? This is the AA?. The guy actually told me their equipment is crap and he gets this quite often. Waste of time and money. Not to mention this equipment they’re trying to flog. Joke!
how tall is the backpack when rolled down to it's smallest?
I like the vedio very much.Actually I am intrested to travel like this. Tell me how it is possible.
My mother had two flat tyres, on her Rover 45, the AA charged her £300 to recover the car 1 mile to my house, absolute rip-off of my 82 year old. She had Premium Cover & they did her over when she was stuck at the side of a dangerous road, claiming the tyres were damaged in an RTA - which they were not. Refused to pick up car without an on the spot card payment of £300!!!!!! They will be cancelled & history from tomorrow. The AA UK You,d give Gypsies a good name. She has been a member with you crooks for 7yrs, broken down twice, mis-fuel, charge £220, two punctures combined £300 for a 1 mile trip. £520 for two calls on top of your over-priced T&C laden service. She just got her re-newal, she decided against it she,s not a Masochist.
How many days was the total trip Emily including your stopovers?
This range of bags is great. I have the 16l version and managed to do 14 days in hawaii with it. Still use it as my every day work bag too.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO!!!
Love your video!! This is what i call adventure. I wonder is it possible to take train all the way to europe? Just curious
Jeez thank God I came across your vid, I'm planning to head to Vietnam from SG too and am gonna depart in 1 month and am still figuring out the bus website. Thank you for the help
Hi Emily, we’re thinking about going to Michoacan for day of the dead, but considering not going on to island for the festivities given it’s so busy and a sacred event for the locals. Do you think it’s work going still if we’re not heading to the island or would you say that’s the key reason for visiting this area for the celebrations?
Im so glad I found your video. I will be backpacking SEA and plans to go on the same route as you did. Lifesaver!
It is a lovely site. Been a few times. I agree it is very scenic and as close as wild camping as it gets. Angus is a really nice guy.
Love this video, hope to road trip around England someday. Love the poems along the way too, brilliant idea!
I travel like you did in this video but mine is reversed 😂 must say is was something truly amazing hopefully you are happy these days 🎉🎉

Hello Ramsgate, my Great Grandmother and Grandfather were from your beautiful town in the late 1800’s. I have an unusual piece of jewelry that I have not been able to get identified. It has my Grandparents picture in one side with the brochure rotating to reveal lavender on the reverse side. I am wondering if it was locally made and someone could tell me about the history of it🤔🤞
Have you tried looking on Facebook for local groups in Ramsgate. I reckon if you post a photo in those someone will be able to help!
Very cool video. On this tour, are you allowed to touch the stones?
I don't think you're supposed to officially, but I'm not 100% sure on that. But you definitely get as close as possible!

Ahh.. I love this little video! Loved your energy and freedom doing the simon and the witch dance.. You might be a bit young for that, so check it out on youtube! it was a children's programme from the 80s! I have so many backpacks.. But then I saw this and I'm tempted!! Yey! I also love a decent size bum bag! I had one the first time they came out when I was 14!! Oldeee.. Love how you rocked wearing them both! I'm so thinking you would be fab at doing regular videos for trekitt, or other gear companies like Rab on youtube! Even tent review vids.. I love a good tent review vid!! 😅 You should reach out to them and send this video in.. Who knows what goodies you could get for free, whilst making some cash being awesome!! 😀👍 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for this lovely comment!! I've been using both bags for ages now and love them, especially the backpack, so good for hiking and travel! Would love to do regular review videos but they take me far too much time to make really, I should employ a video editor 😅 I find it much easier to keep up with blogging than with vlogging! Thanks for watching :D
