Hugh, what do you use to increase FPS from 30 to 60? Any recommendation for upscale resolution from 5.7K to 8K? I want to do play with my Evo 3d footages to check output quality. May be there is a all-at-one video tool (maybe AI based) which increases FPS, resolution and quality significantly?

I thought the problem with 8k (at least with Canon R5) was the heat buildup requiring either an external recorder or active cooling (R5C). This doesn't seem to have either, so is the footage massively compressed to compensate, or is the length seriously limited? I know you couldn't fit everything in one video, so respect for the first look.

Price is very good at $549 . They have some samples on SpatialLabs (Images and videoclips) which looks fantastic when watched in Quest 3.

$549 is not bad. Curious about the cmos size and if hdr is available. I believe the camera size is due to making interpupillary distance close to human for better 3D effect

Many people confuse VR 180 3D cameras and SBS 3D cameras. The viewing experience is completely different. It seems to me that the frame format of the new camera may be suitable for Acer monitors, but not suitable for 16x9 3D TVs. In addition, the stated bitrate is 60mbs, which seems insufficient for such a resolution. We'll be waiting for trial reviews.

I'm very excited for more consumer VR180 camera / spatial camera at a consumer or pro-sumer level to come out. My Instra360 EVO is really showing its age at this point.

Hugh Hou, Wow, just WOW! The camera is very competitively priced! I didn't know another company was going to give others a run for their money like this! I'm kind of glad I never invested in the older Insta360 180 3D camera. I really wanted something that had some better specs and at a consumer level. Now, I of course will wait for a review, everything looks good on paper, but I need the Hugh seal of approval. This is very promising :) I used to be into shooting 360 video, but I've found in my viewing of said video, I am often not looking behind me, because I'm seated when I view. And I don't often seek out a swivel chair to take advantage of a 360 shot. 180 3D is just so much more immersive, and though I know there is 360 3D, again, I don't take advantage of looking behind me as much. A couple quick questions. Do you know if this camera takes still photos? Also, did they mention its low light performance? Loving the monitors as well! What I like is that the lenses are 63 mm apart. That's significantly further than on the iPhone 15 Pro. This means that the depth effect extends further into the distance.

I am very very very(!) happy another company is creating a new 3D Camera!! It is a great sign for the industry! However, I checked the sample 3D photos available at their website and unfortunately it did not match my expectations. I mean no disrespect, but my iPhone can take better quality 3D pictures (with the “Camera 3D” app), with the caveat that the subject is not moving. I am willing to pay $1000 USD for a consumer level 3D Camera as long as it has the ability to take pictures at least as good as an iPhone. Someone please make such a camera so I can take good quality photos of moving subjects! (In the mean time I will get by with my W3 and iPhone. :^)

ON the Asus web site it says their 3d is built on "SR" ah it has to be LeiaSR... which is a good thing I love my lume pad 2....

Can it do something intermediate like 6K 60fps? Since that's roughly half the pixel count of 8K seems like encoder bitrate should be enough for it.
