I love the folk feeling of the main tune. I don't know what this cartoon means (if it has any meaning), but... perhaps is a depiction of the dialectic materialism of the communist URSS? A river of matter, where many contradictions happens, that culminates at the end of History: the paradise of the proletarians (the dog). I know, I'm thinking too much... but it's my theory.

Russia was one of the greatest producers of animations from the 70's and 80's, and this only demonstrates that flawlessly. Not just the fluidity of the animation, but the creativity in the creature designs; great stuff. Russia is a hub of artistic abstraction, such a shame it is born of so much strife.

Its scary how all these men walk at the same time and the way they walk. And the music adds even more frightening theme.
They seem more like a collective/hive mind than a society that's ruled by a collectivist ideology. It's possible that they're modified humans or not fully human. It would be nice to learn more about this world and its history, in any case.
