It’s a damn shame that today’s generation really doesn’t realize or understand that their freedom was earned by these men on this island and many others. All those in middle and high school today should have to learn the history of this battle and the many others that were fought in the pacific. Ask a young school kid today what Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, Peleliu is and most will look at you with a blank stare or make a smart ass comment. It’s very sad and pathetic. These men deserve, and we owe them much more. 🇺🇸 Semper Fi………

There literally are people who still chain up dogs, and that’s their life. As long as the dog is fed and watered, sometimes little can be done. Same thing here. I had no idea , seventy thousand American troops were sent to fight on this island , called Iwo Jima. A total of six thousand , eight hundred and twenty one American troops died , in this battle of Iwo Jima. There was seventy thousand American troops sent to fight on the island of Iwo Jima. There was a total of twenty two thousand and sixty , Japanese soldiers that were on the island of Iwo Jima. Out of the twenty two thousand sixty Japanese soldiers. Only two hundred and sixteen lived. Mysteriously its believed the last Japanese soldier to surrender was discovered in 1972. Some how he lived on the island. I do not know how he got water or food ? The war ended in 1945 . Maybe he went fishing . As far as water to drink , I do not know how he got water to drink. I know now how to turn sea water into fresh drinking water. Find two big bottles the same size. Clean and rinse both bottles out. Fill one bottle half way with ocean water. Then build to small mounds the same exact height . Place some rocks and space under the bottle with ocean water. Place both bottles lip to lip. Now burn some wood under the bottle that has ocean water. The steam from the ocean water will go into the empty bottle. Now wait for that bottle to cool down . Now you have fresh drinking water. The other way to get fresh drinking water find a military poncho . Stretch it out all the way round the stretched out poncho . Place a rock in the center with a small hole in the center . Now place a cup under the hole. The morning dew in the morning will provide fresh drinking water . Maybe this last Japanese soldier did something like this to get fresh drinking water ? Then maybe he went fishing . There is really no plant life or wild game or animals on this large volcano island . Just lava rock . Simply amazing . For those who fought lived and died on this battle of Iwo Jima. They are true American hero's .

If one makes loud noise which travels across your property line, possesses animals which could do serious harm to others, or sets off fireworks which could create a massive fire, you actually are harming others. Also, you are harming your neighbor by preventing him/her from selling their property. No; the American flag doesn't give you the right to do whatever you feel like...
