    The title reminded me so much of the damage that has been done to me I was not able to do the meditation. Just doing meditation is not going to help me recover from abuse by medical doctors I have suffered. I am so sick of Ableist doctors who told me I was perfectly healthy, refused me a handicap placard, told me I needed to walk when I was in so much pain and having to use crutches, stuch a diagnosis of two mental illnesses on me because I was upset by their callous mistreatment. Sorry, I don't think a meditation session is going to heal what is wrong.

      ​@@brendaf3132 We wish you healing as you continue this journey. The dehumanizing trauma of medical ableism isn't something that can be fixed with a single meditation by any means. There's a tremendous amount of policy and educational change that's still needed. NCHPAD is committed to advocating for these changes by educating the institutions involved and empowering disabled people in anyway we can.

      Caloric deficit and exercise are the best methods of weight loss, but cucumber lemon water can certainly assist with your digestion. If you cut out high calorie beverages and instead use this low calorie drink, this can certainly be contribute to your weight loss journey if paired with physical activity.

      Cucumber lemon infused water can typically last for up to 2-3 days when stored in the refrigerator. However, the flavor may start to weaken after the first day. To maintain the freshness and flavor, it's best to consume it within 24 hours of making it. If you notice any changes in odor, taste, or appearance, it's advisable to discard it.

    "dates are a great way to add sweetness to a smoothie without adding extra sugar"? 100g of dates contains 66g of sugar according to the USDA FoodData Central. Dates are lovely, but they are not a low sugar source of sweetness.

      Thanks so much for watching! It's certainly worth noting that this smoothie is not the best option for those who are working to dramatically reduce their sugar intake, but a single date actually has closer to 16g of sugar and not 66g. So 3 dates have a total of about 48g of sugar. If you go back to the USDA FoodData Central website to look at dates, there's a section above the food data that's labeled as "Portions". Under portions, switch your selection to 1 date, pitted (24g). This will provide you more accurate insight into the nutritional values of a single date. This particular smoothie is more appropriate for an individual who has sugar cravings, but hopes to avoid non-nutritive highly processed sweets like cakes, candies, etc. And while we don't recommend over eating dates, the sugar in them is natural and comes packaged with fiber, potassium, magnesium, vitamin B6, iron, antioxidants, and more.

I wish we used it in all our food labeling here in the USA, like other countries do on their nutritional facts labels). And yes dates come with other nutrients, but I still don't think it was accurate to describe them as a way to "add sweetness without adding extra sugar".

      Thanks so much for watching! Although using a whole lemon could intensify the flavor, you would still get plenty of the nutritional benefits if you used a 128oz bottle. You may even be able to refill the bottle with more water to get more use of the lemon and cucumber. Just be sure to clean the bottle thoroughly within about 2 weeks to avoid any mold or bacterial growths.

      Thanks so much for watching! Everyone's body reacts differently to foods and drinks. Some people might find relief from acid reflux with cucumber lemon water, while others might find it exacerbates their symptoms. The acidity from the lemon may or may not be a problem for you. Rather than adding lemon slices, incrementally test how this drink makes you feel by squeezing a small amount of the lemon juice into your cucumber water so that you can monitor your body's reaction. If you notice any worsening of symptoms, it might be best to avoid it or consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice.       Thanks for watching! This will come down to personal taste. We recommend drinking this with cold water, especially as it's getting warmer outside. An even better tip is to let this drink sit in the fridge for a few hours so that the flavor and nutrients in the water get stronger.

      Thanks for asking! This particular video was filmed in a kitchen without an accessible stove. In this case, a crew member may have assisted with turning it on. Many would consider purchasing a more accessible appliances if it's not too costly. There are also adapted tools like knob turners for reaching buttons on the stove for those with hand control. Other's might try a portable cooktop or burner that's more affordable. This option would have closer buttons and can be used with most plug outlets. Sorry I wasn't more clear with my response. I've been a bit out of it for the past couple of weeks. My pawtner, Summer, passed away of bloat 2 weeks ago today. She was only 6 years old. It was sudden and unexpected. I've been in a bit of a fog!

      Thanks for watching! The nutritional value shouldn't change much from blending it, but you may find that the cucumber or lemon taste is a bit stronger. The texture of the drink may also change depending on the blender. If you try it, let us know how it goes :).

    These foods are fattening!!! I'm a TYPE 2 DIABETES PATIENT, and most recently, I've been drinking half a liter of fresh orange juice every morning in 4 weeks, and my doctor calle me: " Theresa, your blood sugar is good, and you're healing your liver"! I also eat fruits for my noonmeals and vegetable salades for evening meals, since I'm a Fully Raw Vegan!!! This is due to the story of the Russian family who lived in the USA who suddenly had diabetes and cancers, and ate everything "RAW", and healed!!! Whoever you might be, whether you're a professional or not, you know that FRUITS & VEGETABLES are good for the body, because it rejuvinates the cells!Why not live like me???

    The only thing I would take a contention to with this, is the fact that several lawsuits have been filed against restaurants for not having proper bathroom access. Show us a business owner you may get nervous. There's a lawyer named Morris marbling in California who is caused many businesses to close down do the Ada violations. I'm not saying that bathroom shouldn't be appropriate for all that go in, but in most cases it was things like a mirror are not being quite right.

    I thoroughly enjoyed ur video..Explained alotta things..I have a power operated chair at present but NEED a Manual Wheelchair exactly like what you have for daily use..I'm covered in Benefits in California and Ive looked.     Some people who are property manager and person with specific learning difficulty and had a traumatic brain 🧠 injuries in the past. Never ever call me a mental case retardation woman said by some others who dont have a disability and there acting like a disabliesm and abliesm discriminate me lyn. Who is very very careful cooking due to having a cousin thats a firefighter in Roseville Minnesota not in California city of Roseville. You dont call us hookers whores prostitute which isn't a nice thing to say about a person with a disability.disablities.like in the court room in Kansas City and Paul Wade killed a cousin of mine and someone else. He walked back to the door to go back to jail cell, then cals me the swearing 🤬 b word. Well to someone else its a fighting word to a woman. In October 22,2022. He found out what may happen to them.
